Hi everyone,I’ve been working with Illustrator for a long time, and one feature I still wish existed is a quick shortcut to center objects directly to the artboard. For example, in CorelDRAW, pressing P instantly aligns any selected object to the center of the page/artboard — such a simple time-saver.I know we can use the Align panel to align to the artboard, but it feels like too many clicks when you’re doing it repeatedly.Is there already a hidden shortcut for this that I’ve overlooked? If not, I’d like to suggest that Adobe consider adding a built-in shortcut. It could really speed up workflows.Thanks!

Hi, I am trying to figure out if there is a tool that can remove the white background of a downloaded .eps pattern to use only the pattern part and not the white background. Is there a way to do this in illustrator or can it only be done in photoshop?thanks

I have been using Illustrator for many years and I must have turned on/off something, every object, line, text etc. are in highlighted in red line, even when it's not been selected. When selecting an object the red color becomes bolder and can move objects, however, when I use bring to front or send to back it doesn't do anything the object remains in the same place, as if it is in outline mode. I've have tried turning on and off the outline mode, preview mode etc. and still doesn't make any difference. Please help me sort out this issue, I have too many designs to make these days. thanks all

This has been an on going issue for a few weeks now. I kind of just been ignoring it but it's become very frequent in the last few days with many different files. Hoping someone can help because I'm having trouble finding a solution. My device: Macbook Pro, Apple M1 Max, 32gb memory. Sequoia 15.6Illustrator Version: 29.8.1Context: I work at a sign shop, we use Google Drive and have files on the cloud and edit directly from the drive.Example of issue: I have an existing file that is 62MB, with just text and some graphics. I open it and type something or copy and element into it and save it. Half the time it will save it and then crash. The other half of the time it will not save and then crash. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Previously the issue was maybe an older version of Illustrator, which when I updated the program it worked fine for a bit. But then it started crashing again. I've restarted my laptop too and force quit the program. Still the same issue. The las

Bonjour à tous.  J'ai un nouveau bug dans illustrator un peu chiant, je trvail enormément avec les variables et aujourd'hui ça bug. Quand je recharge le fichier CSV (qui n'a pas été modifié entre la dernière fois où ça marchait (il y a un mois environ)) il me met le message d'erreur. Et quand je souhaite passer d'un ensemble de données à un autre il me met un message d'avertissement et quand je valide il me met le même message d'erreur.  Si c'est déjà arrivé à quelqu'un et qu'il a trouvé la solution je suis preneur ! 😁 Merci à tous ! 

Hello there.Need some help regarding Illustrator suddenly unable to open.I have just reset my RAM & motherboard ( I do this annually with the techinician) Every adobe app works well (photoshop, lightroom, premiere pro) but only facing troube with illustrator.I have tried:- reinstall illustrator- adobe cleaning- reinstall creative cloud None of these work. Can anyon help with this? I need this for work thou.

When does Adobe plan to release other apps for Microsoft Copilot+ PCs ARM architecture-based processors? like Affter effect, Illustrator. My computer is Surface pro 11 I was waiting for this for long time. Any recent update or release date please?

I've been using Photoshop since version 2, back in the early 90's, and Illustrator since version 7 came out in...96? 97? Something like that. And I am still blow away but just how BAD both are at building paths from raster. I have 3rd party tools than take a PHOTOGRAPH and produce a VERY respectable vector equivalent, but, even shelving that, why it cannot take a SMOOTH CURVE and produce a reasonable path escapes me.See this? This was made by DRAWING A VECTOR CURVE, monochrome, then rasterizing it, then tracing it. So don't tell me there some invisible artifact causing the jitter. But fine. Let's go clean it up.What the... oh, dear, okay, well, then...Yahhh! YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE! You would think that the umpteen vertices it needed to translate the MIDDLE of that smooth curve would be sufficient to define an anchor wouldn't you?I just don't get why some kid in his garage can make a plug-in that can manage this, but Adobe, THE "GRAPHIC PEOPLE" haven't gotten a win on it after 35 YEARS.

I worked on this presentation in Illustrator, and I was saving periodically (the file is saved on the cloud, not on the desktop). Today, I finished a few pages, saved the file, and went to get lunch. No crash, no nothing. After I returned, I opened the file, and all the text was gone. The shapes I have created are there, but all the text is gone. It is not hidden in another layer, I worked on one layer only. When I closed the file, it showed up as a recovered file. When I tried to use the type tool, it came up with a notification that says " Can't create type". Tried uninstalling and installing, but did not work. Tried going to Creative Cloud online and opening the document there, but it opened the same file again. All other files seem to be ok, just this one.

After updating to the 2025 version the amount of bugs that i am encountering in my day to day usage drives me throw my computer out of the window. From the gradent colour selection randomly selecting other nodes to just trying to creating a new design where the values input revert to some random values when it starts, the problems just don't want to end and worst of all the slow down. This update feels more of a downgrade. Please help as i am getting tired of this broken progam.

Trying out different ways in Illustrator to get vectors easily for a manual feel from hand made sketches.My last test on a hand made paper drawing did capture vectors quite well on the Illustrator version on Ipad. This time I also tested "Vector mode" in Firefly asking it to make it into vector with many different interpretations as a result.

I never want to have my machine save to the cloud. I have small-town sucky internet and saving to the cloud makes that significantly worse.  But I don't see a way to get it to default to not saving to the web. I mean there is a button to not ever be asked again but the last time I tried that on an Adobe product it took that to mean that it should ignore the fact that I asked for it to be save locally that time (and every other time) and in addition to never asking again it should just save it to the cloud.  I see a way to set this in Photoshop, but do not in Illustrator. I'd really like to not be constantly have Adobe apps trying to get me to save to the Cloud.Note - Adobe also seems to reset to defaulting to the cloud everytime I update my programs.Update to Photoshop - You must have also wanted to start saving to the web. I'll make this as brief as I can, but I deleted Illustrator (with the intention to re-install it) because after messing with some files on my work mac the app started acting funky (all my tool windows were gone, wasn't registering when I clicked on my saved workspace, and the option to reset it/create a new one was greyed out). I'm not sure if the files I messed with were related, I just know that much. Well when I went to go download it again, I saw what I already knew which is that my macOS is too outdated for the 2025 version of the app. So I looked up how to download an older version, because I at least know that the 2023 version is compatible. Sources online tell me that I can click on the three dots to view older versions, but that's not an option (screenshot provided). I need help, I really need Illustrator on this computer and I can't do anything about the outdated macOS (not enough storage to update, which is why I was messing with files to begin with).

I cannot edit any shape that I create on the software, If I drag the corners the shape moves and doesn't change the size like it usually does 

Hello. I have a very simple text frame with 3 short lines of copy. I am trying to use vertical center alignment (Area Type). When I click on center, the text moves to the center of the frame and then immediately goes right back to the top of the frame - even though the alignment says center. I tried creating a new text frame on my pasteboard just to be sure there is no wrapping going on and it still does not work. I also tried updating Illustrator and re-launched. Still the same thing. There are no paragraph returns in the copy and I confirmed there is no "hidden" copy after the period. Does anybody have any suggestions? Illustrator Version - 29.6.1Mac OS Sonoma 14.7

I'm using Illustrator (Beta) on a new Microsoft laptop. Text is constantly displayed lying horizontally in the first line. Occasionally, it returns to normal view. Exporting to JPG works as expected, but even if you convert the text to objects, it still appears horizontal."Absolutely drives me crazy. Sometimes it goes to normal display after zooming in and out, but it happens very randomly. Please help

For about a month now, Illustrator keeps shutting down unexpectedly and I get the message asking if I want to send an error report. Sometimes it recovers the file, but it’s quite frustrating. This only happens with Illustrator — not with InDesign or Photoshop. What’s going on?Also, the files I’m working with are not very complex.

In my video, I have eight text objects arranged in a circle, which are all on their own paths. If I select them and attempt to scale up from the center (holding Option+Shift, mouse drag), the texts on the outer circle reposition themselves in different places on the path they're on. So the texts seem to be jumping counter-clockwise for no reason. So, I have to manually realign to their original positions.So I am not sure why they are moving on their own after being scaled. Anyone has seen this odd behavior or maybe have an alternative way I can scale the text on paths without having this happen? Thanks for any help.Christopher Sharp

Hello everyone! I created an Adobe PDF file from an Illustrator document that crashed my illustrator and lost all my progress.Fortunately, before it crashed, I created a review share link to send the file to others and it shows the full file that I worked on.Is there any way to recover the file so I could download it from the share link? It's all there in the shared pdf but not in my AI file anymore since it crashed Illustrator. I checked the recovered and auto-save files in my files (on a mac) and the only recovered file was the one I see when I open the file in Illustrator. It's hours of progress I'm losing, any help would be appreciated thanks!
