I have a huge file with lots of layers and artboards and whenever I'm exporting the artwork as PNG (on a white background) all the white elements in the designs are exporting as yellow.Below is an artboard from the same document with a rectangle in pure FFFFFF white + the Colour Settings as well as the exported result with the yellowed rectangle.I've seen similar posts from a few years back but the link to the solution page is not working.Specs:MacBook Air 15-inch, M2, 2023, OS Seqouia 15.7Illustrator 29.8.1

Hey,Every time I open paragraph or character styles, illustrator crashes.When I do it in indesign, the program freezes for about 60 seconds.This is really annoying me and costing me a lot of time.Does someone know any solution for this, or is adobe gonna fix this?

Hi everyone. I have a lot of ai files that I am trying to convert to pdf and eps files by creating some actions and batch processing them. When I record the actions and play it back, the only thing that is happening is the file is being opened and then saved as the same ai file. A separate pdf or eps file is not created. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?Here is what I am recording:1. open ai file2. save as name.pdf 3. closeI thought it couldn't get any simpler than that.

I'm trying to make a script for Illustrator to convert a CSV file to an XML file, but I always end up with the same error. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Could someone please take a look at the code? Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't remember this ever appearing before. I disabled "tool tips" and "rich tool tips" with no success. Not sure if it's relevant, but clicking the question-mark icon opens the "Discover" panel.

The problem I'm experiencing is that when I'm using the Selection tool, which appears as the Direct Selection tool, I'm unable to rotate with the mouse.

Hello Everyone,  I’m writing a script (AppleScript or JavaScript) to export an active document to PNG, JPG, and PDF in Adobe Illustrator.   So far, exporting at 72 DPI works fine, but when I try to set a different DPI (e.g., 300 DPI), I encounter errors.   Example Issue (AppleScript, PNG Export)   When exporting PNG (PNG24) at 300 DPI, I use:export current document to file myFile as PNG24 with options {class:PNG24 export options, transparency:true, resolution:300} However, this results in an error: “PNG Export Failed: Adobe Illustrator got an error: Can’t get document 1.”   What I Need Help With 1. How can I correctly set PNG resolution to 300 DPI in AppleScript? 2. Is there a JavaScript solution that ensures PNG exports at the correct DPI? 3. How can I properly export JPG at a different DPI (e.g., 300 DPI) without Illustrator resizing the image?   Would appreciate any insights on how to properly handle custom DPI exports in AppleScript or JavaScript. &nbs

This glitch/bug is affecting linked images untouched outside of Illustrator, they're shifting in size and position. In some cases changing the aspect ratio of the linked file as well. I've gone back to an older version of Illustartor (29.3) thinking that it worked, now finding out from external vendors that the issue is still there. The files we work on can't always accommodate embedding images due to the increase in file size.

Is there some sort of "Auto Embed" feature that will embed your linked images? I have a document that is embedding most of the linked images. It's not happening in all my documents, just one

This is a nightmare. I swear I will upgrade to a pirated version if no one helps me finally. I can't export a SVG as multiple resources.I can't save each object in a separate file as a separate SVG because it takes a long time. nothing helps in the long run. I've rolled back versions to where everything worked. I've talked to support three times, I've renamed certain folders with “.old”. I've run my computer in safe mode. I've tried not even updating Illustrator as long as the batch SVG export functionality is still available. But after a while this function stops working, even if I have not updated anything!   I don't know how to make my situation any clearer. 

I have spent the last week trying to get Illustrator to export svg. Totally fine before. Spent 3.5 huors with support team totally wrecking my graphics settings, then having to kick them out and reinstall everything.   The export starts, then either looks done or freezes totally. Nothing exports.    I really need svgs as I am a web developer. what on earth is going on? Everything is up to date. 

This could be an issue with other systems/versions as well... Using the blend tool, I linked a rectangle and an ellipse, with 12 steps. All looked fine. I then tried to move the ellipse about half its width down, using the mouse. Instead of staying in that position, the shape snapped to a different position. Another issue is that the history gets populated with lots of Undo during the manual move. Illustrator doesn't see my object manipulation as a single action. Lastly, using [option], when I copied the ellipse to create an extra object in the blend, Illustrator made extra copies and snapped them to the original position. Has anyone else seen this behaviour on their system (with similar or other specifications) and how can I find out if Adobe is aware and will fix this? It is only one of the bugs I've found so far with the latest MacOS.

Having a weird issue where if I draw a shape illustrator is showing a live preview of the stroke and fill, however I have "Real time drawing and editing" turned off? Is there a way to get this back to how it used to be where:• Viewing using GPU• Real time drawing and editing turned OFF• No live previewVersion: 29.8.1

My lasso tool on Adobe Illustraor has not let me select anything like an image. I've done multiple methods to fix this like uninstalling and restalling the app, restarting my computer, updating, and resetting preference settings on the app, but NOTHING has worked. I even tried contacting adobe support but they ended up hanging up on me.... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP I CANNOT DO ASSIGNEMNTS AS OF NOW. Thanks!

I get unkown error detected when I try to say as a pdf. I made the text outlined I don't know what else to do

So I've been using a hand made script for years and years now, it's actually a set of 2 scripts.Script 1 "#LogAllDimensions-Alt.js" does what it says on the tin, it logs the Tranformation data like this:"X_POS_0;Y_POS_0;WIDTH_0;HEIGHT_0$X_POS_1;Y_POS_1;WIDTH_1;HEIGHT_1$", it then shows a prompt containing the string however long it may be.Then I can start selecting different objects and run Script 2: "#PositionObjectsBasedOnLog.js"This does the opposite and splits the string at every "$" since those are dividers for each set of transformation data, then it splits each of those at ";" so that I get the raw X, Y, WIDTH, HEIGHT properties,which are then used to reposition and resize my current selection accordingly.I used to work at a printing company and I had to make efficient layouts when printing things so we don't waste more material than needed, but whenever we had to deal with extremely heavy images this got time consuming.I made these scripts as a work around, I'd first use rectan

The suffix number will have a fixed width of 2 digits and be zero-padded if necessary. For example, if the document name is "Myfilename.ai", the first artboard will be renamed to "Myfilename 01", the second artboard to "Myfilename 02", and so on.

When I try to open Illustator Beta I get this message: I have tried uninstalling Beta and reinstalling it, and I still get this error. I would like to continue using Beta. How can I fix this??

Since updating Illustrator to 29.7.1, I've run upon several issues that are affecting productivity, but the two that are the biggest losers are the randomly-appearing-on-save "The document "" is currently getting saved. Try again after the process is complete" issue and the Preferences > Keyboard Increment change.This random save issue is probably the Gold Medal Winner winner of the Frustration Olympics from my angle as when it pops up, the only way I can get around it is to set Paste Remembers Layers, copy all the elements I'm working with to a new document, check that all colors,layters, etc are correct, save it as a new working file, close/reopen the app then delete the original file so I don't get it mixed up with the new one. Hey everyone!I'm having a problem with exporting artboards.My document has 113 artboards, and I wanted to export them as SVG files using "Export for Screens."The loading pop-up says 113 artboards are being exported. When I look in the folder, there are only 84 SVG files. Illustrator is simply not exporting some of them. No error message appears either. I have already tried it on another computer but there was the same problem. I am using Windows 11 and Illustrator v 29.8.1.Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I know this seems like a silly question, but I'm new to graphic design and I've designed a logo for a project without using a grid. Is there any simple way to create a grid for a logo that wasn't designed with one? Any suggestions would be much appreciated! 

I have a path (looking like an instrumental bridge) that when saved as .svg changes the paths? Saving as a pdf is fine, saving from pdf to svg does the same thing. Changing size of the bridge does the same thing. Compound or not compund does the same thing. I DO however have a week old svg that still is correct. But opened in the laser cutters software it makes the same thing to the path. The original path is symmetrical, when saved to svg it goes assymmetrical.
