Hi need some help I'm using the free plugin EAN-13 Barcode Generator by MirecaIs there a way I can change the barcode height?  Can I select the bars and drag them smaller like i did with second barcode, or will this effect the barcode scanning?

Another day, another post where we tell Adobe developers how to do their job.   Please add insustry standard print/media sizes to the print box. Apologies, please let me reword that. Add ALL media sizes to illustrator.   As a commercial designer, I don't (abuse removed by moderator) undertand why A1, and indutry standard size is not available when printing. 

In our company we have installed Adobe Illustrator CC 30.0 on some workstations (windows 11). We need to know how to disable Generative AI on all workstation (users must not use the AI) using registry, policy or command line.In acrobat professional we have found Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown DWord: bEnableGentechvalue: 0but we haven't found anything similar for illustrator.

When I tried to use variable, I created action "PDF" to save the file as .pdf file. But when I ran the action for batch, all data sets just were saved respectively in 1 pdf file??Help :((

Hello everyone!I just wrote a text in Illustrator that I would like to export as a dxf file to cut on my plasma machine. I have previously exporter dxf files out of svgs i opened in illustrator. But when i try to do the same on text, the option to export as a dxf simply does not appear.  This is what I do :1. I write the text and adjust the size in inches2. I press shift+ctrl+O to create outlines3. I try to save as/export as and fail to find the dxf option. I know im missing a step and i cant figure out which one. If anybody could help me i would greatly appreciate it and be super thankful. Thank you for your time!

I'm very beginner so I have no clue where to even begin looking for the reason why.I'm attempting to color fill using the live paint bucket tool, but Illustrator blocks it on every layer. Mousing over the layers, there's a little circle with a dash through it next to the paint tool by my cursor. 😞  

Hello, I just updated Illustrator (29.8.2) on my Mac (MacBook Pro, 16GB memory, Sonoma 14.7.3) and it is completely unusable. Sometimes the app will open, but if I try to open any files, it just crashes. Tried reinstalling, same thing. Any idea when this will get fixed? I have a pretty massive job due in 48 hours, and I'm dead in the water and out a LOT of money if this doesn't get patched soon. What are other folks/agencies doing as a work around to theis current version being unusable??

Hello! Hoping someone can help as this is frustrating and I can't for the life of me get any answer from anywhere that does not involve the bounding box. I am unable to resize objects and text in illustrator despite the anchor points being visible and the bounding box being turned on. This normally happens by accidentally hitting an unknown hotkey (Not sure which one...). My mouse has a different icon on it when this happens that I do not recognize (photo below). Program version: 2018 CC Illustrator (Newest Update as of May 31, 2018) Please help... uninstalling does not work and this is really slowing down my workflow.

Had to immediately uninstall and revert to 29.8.3 because ALT+scroll to zoom on the mouse cursor introduced horrendous lag (Win 11). Hopefully the next update will fix this.

So I just installed a new font to my pc. The font is: "Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da". When I try to use this font in Illustrator I can't find it. I've installed several other fonts this way and I can find them all in Illustrator. I've reinstalled the font, I've restarted both Illustrator and my PC multiple times and it's just not showing up. Does anyone know a solution?

I would love any insight from anyone who's converted files to BMP for a factory. I design in illustrator and am open to saving into photoshop if that is necessary to convert the files. I need files to be in BMP format. The factory machines make socks that are 144 needles wide.  Here's what I believe I need:BMP file that is 144 pixels wide. Height can change depending on height of sock.Number of colors needs to be below 6-7 colors at the most. No anti aliasing I've been experimenting in saving the illustrator files in photoshop with specific file settings. I've been having trouble getting the settings to be a standard I can always work with. For example, I have not found a way to export the files as BMP at all from illustrator. From photoshop, I am not sure if I can export it and reduce the pixels and colors while i export, because right now they appear anti alised. I wonder if I can set up a file that is limited by color and pixels and convert designs or copy a

I'm trying to figure out how to troubleshoot this. I thought it was related to my file at first, but it's not. I create a new document, created just a rectangle. I can zoom in and out, pan quickly using the mouse wheel and Alt. Everything is fine, until I save. Then I have to close illustrator and open it again or zooming in or out causes a 1 to 3 second delay before it responds after the zoom.Once I've saved the file I can close illustrator again, then open the file and it's fine. I can even make changes and save multiple times, and it's fine. Zoom in and out, pan, no problems. Unless I hit the share button. I don't even have to create a share. Once I hit the share button, that sets it off again. I can pan as fast as I want. But zooming, as soon as I stop zooming, there's a lag. This is Only if I use the mouse wheel to zoom or pan. If I use Ctrl+ or Ctrl- it's fine. And using the zoom tool I can drag and it even smoothly zooms.Again, it only happens after the first time a file is

Hi All, I'm having an issue with Illustrator scaling up artwork when I embed a file to setup a knife?I have tested in both version 29.8.3 and 30.0 on windows 11 and it does the same thing.My colleuges computer next to me does not do it? Honor scale on import is ticked and makes no difference...

Really, you still have to zoom in to scale an object from center AND hit the exact anchor point. No wonder people are abandoning Adobe. Figma has had the feature where you can just drag anywhere on the edge of an object to scale it for years, and you dont even have to zoom... Wake up Adobe, you are becoming dinosaurs.

Hallo an alle :),ich sitze gerade an einem Projetk in Adobe Illsutrator und auf einmal wurden mir keine Ankerpunkte mehr angezeigt (keine Ahnung, was ich gemacht habe). Anfangs war das nur so bei den gesperrten Ebenen, wenn ich über die gesperrte Ebene etwas zeichnen wollte. Dort wollte ich eine kleine Form nachzeichnen, aber leider wurden mir dann von dem gesperrten Objekt die Ankerpunkte nicht mehr angezeigt. Direkt danach war es dann auf einmal so, dass mir auch der Pfade nicht mehr angezeigt wurden, auch bei Formen, die bei entsperrten Ebenen vorhanden sind. Auch die Optionen "Schnittmenge bilden, Schittpunkt, Pfad, Ankerpunkt etc." sind nicht mehr verfügbar. Wenn ich eine Form auswähle und mit dem Auswahlpfeil über die einzelnen Linien der Form gehe, steht dort auch nicht mehr, wie gewohnt, "Pfad, Ankerpunkt, Echpunkt...".  Wie bekomme wieder die normalen Einstellungen zurück?   LG

Massive compatibility issues with Ai 2025 and 2026 when editing files created in Ai 2024: Editing documents created in Ai 2024 that use the Align function and saving them in a current version causes the programme to crash immediately. Acrobat can then only restore the elements that were on the artboards. The document is damaged and can no longer be opened. Diagrams created in Ai 2024 are no longer displayed after editing the data. 

After updating to Illustrator 2026, i noticed that all of the Illustrator effects are greyed out, and I have no clue how to get them active. This feature worked fine in previous versions.  I am wanting to use to Warp Tool on the selected text to curve it. You'll see in the photos I select it as an object, no luck....i select it as text....no luck. Is this a bug, or did they change how warp tool works?

Hola, desde la última actualización estoy teniendo problemas con importar archivos nativos de ai al mismo programa. Se importan con información movida, como si estuvieran fuera de la mesa de trabajo, pero al abrir el archivo original todo está en ornde. Debo abrir un nuevo archivo y trasladar todo a una nueva mesa de trabajo para que se solucione. Es un claro error del programa. ¡Ayuda!

i have links in my content in different pages, i will export to PDF as eDM.  i realised that i need to put these text links in the same layer and has to shift to the highest layer then export to PDF only it is clickable. If i don't shift the layer to the highest position it is also not working for myself < Question 01   but many times, it is not working for my colleague who is a window user, i am wondering if there is any best practise for this so it is working everywhere? < Question 02 thanks in advance!

I work for a vehicle wrapping company and in order to export the artwork for wraps I use multiple artbaords within the design file. These artboards are then exported for large format printing. Any overlap needed is taken into consideration when exporting but on a recent project the artwork appears to have moved causing the panels to no longer overlap. I have attached some screenshots to hopefully clear things up. The below image shows an example of the original lineup, bare in mind the purple stripe is one continious object, there are no splits. This image shows the two exported artboards next to eachother  This image now shows the difference in the line-up, either the purple or the blue has moved... Does anybody have an ideas why this has happened or is it a known bug in any way? We had printed a large number of vehicle and now have to reprint 50+ metres to rectify... I have never had the issue before with this method and have been working in th
