I will start by saying I clasify myself as a pro illustrator, I've weathered all the changes since illustrator took over Aldus Freehand, so please don't offer simple fixes for this problem. It is clearly a 2025 issue, I am suggesting serious workflow bug to a primary tool, moving vector lines.  Currently a wireframe key line keep popping away from the placed shape preview, often switching back sometimes switching further out. Absolutely no reason, glitchy? and No, there is NO STYLE affecting the preview attached, and no snapping to grid, point, no snapping period. Please tell me there is a fix on the way? I can't use this as a tool when it creates misaligned artwork. Again, as a long term user, this is more than disappointing. Subscription costs have doubled in the past 12 months and the amount of software defects seems to have risen with it, dropping productivity of the tools. Adobe please respond? with thanks,

I love the curvature tool but would like to have the option of NOT adding an anchor point when I use it to curve a line segment - much like the Anchor Point tool. I try to minimize my anchor points, but also LOVE,LOVE, LOVE the curvature tool 

Since Illustrator this bug exists.Negative Values are not allowed in Stacked columns!I think it is a half an hour work for a programmer ...but it costs me hours - to fix that per hand!!! Thank you very much!

I am having major issues with my CC libraries with every Adobe app on my computer. Basically, I can see the libraries and assets, but when I click to edit or place them, nothing happens. I've tried everything listed on this link, including clearing the cache, checking the host file, uninstalling all programs, using the cleaner tool and reinstalling.https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/library-and-file-management-issues/error-access-library-panel.html Randomly I will get the error that the file doesn't exist, or is in use by another user. However, mostly I get no errors at all. Just no results or usability. One workaround I've found is to view my assets on the website, then transfer them to a new Library. However this is slow as it doesn't appear to work on a large number items at a time. Not every command works to move or copy the assets. On the right corner I get from time to time popup ad about generative AI.If it is impossible to turn off  then it is terrible thing and must be adressed right away. Year from now if no push back we might get who knows what kind of popups more often. Also it is not showing properly on 4k monitor and half of it is outside of screen. It is not free software.

Hi, I'm having an issue with an Illustrator file, all the things in the file are in color but when I close the file and click on it to see a preview through Finder (i'm using Mac) the file appears in black and white. And when i open it in illustrator all the color is back, does anyone know how to fix this? The left is how it looks in illustrator and the right picture is how it looks in finder.       {Renamed by MOD}

Is it possible to place an AI file with layers into another AI file and keep layers? Or is it possible to request which layer to place (similar to InDesign)?

This annoying problem tends to happen when I create really complex effects in the Appearance panel. Now, I have this compound path that has a stroke, but I can't expand the stroke to a fill like any other shape. I've even isolated it onto its own document and still the problem persists. Expand only makes the compound path a group each time. The stroke align seems to have something to do with it, but it's essential that I outline it in the "center" mode.

few things that idk how to fix if it possible after update:font "change case" it doesn't work and all text editables.. tabs.. etc...or object select by color etc it doesn't work..thanks for any advice or update

I have uninstalled and reloaded a few times to try turnaround. However, despite ACC app saying it will work on my computer, it says that it is damaged and will not open.What should I do here? 

Hi Everyone,I need help please. Illustrator is crashing while opening my .ai file. I did the update and tried preferences but Illustrator still crashes. It does not crash by opening another file. What can i do? Thanks.

some tools are working in my app especially the expanding tool for images and texts 

I exported my file to pdf and found that some symbols wouldn't print when opened in Adobe Acrobat. Then I found that these symbols have a bunch of lines on them in the outline mode. 

I like the fact that I can customize shortcuts for my projects and save them for future use. If there was a way I can save them to my computer for when it restarts, that would be amazing if not already available 🙂

Hi,fast question. New version of AI 2026 has instaled on my PC, and I see one thing that I don't like. The name of artboard is displayed permanently and I can't hide it (I'm looking around, but I don't find an option to hide it). Is there an option to hide it, or is this a super feature from Adobe that I don't want, but I need to get it?

It either would crash or would take forever to export a PDF file. Even if the file size is really small. Anushree

Among other huge issues with basic functiuonality like the pencil/smooth tool, Illustrator 2025 also has a glitch when creating artboards. This is my third occasion since updating where it creates a duplicate artboard 14 and artboard 13 is unable to defined. Voting this as the worst Illustrator update to date. Hope you guys can figure it out cuz this is a bummer!

Hi! I have an issue as sometimes, when I select some imported objects, my canvas becomes tinted in red. I think it may be due to color profiles and I don't know how to solve it. Any idea? Best regards, Yuri

I am quite a beginner with Illustrator. I have drawn straight and curved lines, but now my pen tool has a small asterisk and I cannot draw normal curves any more. Hello everyone !I have some issues lately with my illustrator ...Today, my blending mode options aren't available, and I do not understand why.I selected 2 shapes in different colors to create a gradient, but when I click on Object > Blend, all the options are light grey, and I cannot select anything.Unfortunately, this is far from the only option that's not working ...All the Effects aren't available, and most of the options on Object tooI haven't checked everything, but I have the feeling that so many options aren't working anymore.Pls help !!Thank you do much !!

MAX Feedback - develop an educational assistant (similar to clippy from MS word) that suggests alternative worfklows for students. For example, "there's a better tool to do this. Try using X instead!" Another help is to enable teachers to prompt an assignment, and Adobe guide students in completing the assisgnment-Jayce G.

Illustrator has been increasingly glitchy for a few months now. When working on files, images will randomly turn black or disappear - the image is still clearly there as it highlights blue when I hover my cursor over it, but the photo or graphic will not show up. It usually comes back briefly if I save, close, quit Ai, and reopen, but shortly it will happen again. I am using MacOS Sonoma 14.1.2 with the most updated 2024 version of Illustrator. All my images are .jpg or .png in RGB stored on an external hard drive. I store the images in their proper folders before importing them into the Ai file, so they aren't missing or unlocated. I have noticed it doesn't happen as frequently when I save the project file on Adobe Cloud and work from there, but that doesn't solve my problem completely - still have disappearing images.  Please help! My workflow is so interrupted by having to close and quit the program every 10 minutes! 

I honestly can’t believe Adobe removed or broke the Command + Option + drag shortcut to resize the brush. This gesture has been part of the workflow for years — it’s fast, intuitive, and essential for anyone who actually works with these tools daily.Now it’s gone or simply doesn’t respond after the latest update, and it completely slows down professional work. We pay for a premium subscription, not to lose the basic tools that made the software efficient.Please bring back the Command + Option shortcut or give us a clear way to re-enable it. Don’t fix what isn’t broken — this shortcut is muscle memory for thousands of users.

Our Illustrator crashes with just a few artboards. We are also experiencing slowness with the Gaussian blur. Danielle Able
