I work on a Mac and one of my students works on a PC. Their Snapping Quick Access Panel is not showing on their Control Panel. The Snap to Pixel Panel is visible, but that's not what we're after.Have tried different workspaces, reboot, update version, and Control Panel feature menu...all the recommendations.The Snapping Quick Access Panel is pretty handy. 

Hello,I use Windows Server 2022 as my main machine, it is updated to the latest version of 11/10/2025.  I have never had an issue installing or updating Illustrator before, but when v30 (Illustrator 2026) launched, it is failing to install due to: the error log below. After updating Illustrator to 27.5 I am missing the eye dropper tool from the colour picker, and from within the recolor artwork tool.  I have re-started illustrator, reset my preferences, and restarted my computer as well (mac). Anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions? Thanks.

I have a new laptop with Windows 11.I installed Adobe Illustrator latest version (30.0), no updates outstanding.I created a file (less than 2MB in size).Located in a folder on the Desktop (C Drive).When I save the file it takes approx. 5 mins to save. During this time Illustrator tells me it is not responding.I have created a test file with one rectangle on the canvas.I selected file>save to save the file to the same folder on the desktop.Nothing seemed to happen...the file name still displayed an asterix (*) indicating that changes had not been saved.I tried to select file>save again, however, it is greyed out.I selected file>save as instead...I get a message saying "The document "Untitled-2.ai" is currently getting saved. Try again after the process is complete.I attempted to save the file again. This time the save option is available. I selected it and the same thing happened again.What the **** is going on?

Hi there, I have not opened AI for a while and I am now unable to create a new document as the screen does not show any option for a blank custom document. Hi, I am having trouble with launching the latest version of Illustrator 30.0. When I try to open I receive a message stating that I need to update my permission settings to read & write as they are currently at read only. I have changed these settings as per the instructions but still continue to receive the same message when I try to open. Has anyone else had the same issue?

I assume PIXEL is number of squares [in this case]. Therefore pixels only take a whole number. In this case it take 0.5 as well.  How is it possible? 

i'm on the latest illustrator version on mac sequoia  when scaling text, font sizes don't scale correctly. this is specially bad in mix type layouts. and it isn't even predictable. in the example i included it is very obvious, but in single line situations for example if i have type that is 10pts and i scale it 200 percent, the type will be something like 20.33pts when scaling art by bounding box, the preview shows scaling correctly in real time, when you let go/complete the transform, the type just blows upthis is really messing me up since i have to work in scale with the same layout in different scales and the type is all over the place.  

I am trying to paste an object into my illustrator file and it is giving me the message that the objects will fall off the drawing area. The object im trying to place is 4in wide , much smaller than my drawing area. No matter the size it wont let me paste. This glitch happens often though, I probably see this message at least once a day while working. I see it as well sometimes while trying to move items around my drawing board - even if i am not putting it outside the drawing area.  Sometimes it fixes itself and sometimes it does not.

Does anyone else have this issue?  I was hoping it would be resolved with the new release of Illustrator, but of course not.What happens- I select an object with a fill color, and I want to see what its hex number or maybe its CMYK value.  When I select the color from the Color Picker menu, the whole program immediately locks up and cannot operate.  The color picker window never comes up, and I have to Ctrl Alt Delete and End task.  (yes I'm on a PC)This has been going on for over a year, and just happened THREE times this morning.HELP!!

Hi,Please help! My saved libraries from the last several years have disappeared. Due to illness, I didn't log into my account for 4 months, but everything was working before that. I followed all possible recommendations to get the libraries back — resynchronization, clearing cache, even tried switching between personal and business profiles, but the libraries simply are not there. Can you advise me if they can be found somewhere or what kind of error it might be? Thank you for your reply

I hope someone can help me. I'd like to create a halftone effect that consists of different shapes, like in this example. I can find information on how to modify one shape—from a circle to a specific shape—but not on how to incorporate various shapes randomly into the halftone effect. Hopefully, someone knows the solution. 

Hi,I'm trying to determine how to create an undo transaction in an Illustrator C++ plug-in so that clicking Edit > Undo in the menu undoes the operation.  The undo transaction is created automatically if the functionality is called from a menu item created by the plug-in or from a tool created by the plug-in as long as the edits are performed in one of the mouse event handlers or the EditTool event handler; however, outside of these two scenarios, an undo transaction is created. Hi everyone, wondering if anyone has had this problem. When I using my Wacom tablet and click on the scrollbar (the actual slider, not the area above or below), the cursor gets locked onto it and I can't exit. When this happens the pen only slides the page up and down and can't select anything, it's like it needs an 'unclick' input to free it from this.  Nothing seems to work, spacebar, ctrl, mashing the keyboard etc doesn't do anything. I have to use my mouse and close the program and start it again, so now I will be happily working away and then absent mindedly click on the scrollbar and BOOM - I'm in an annoying situation where I need to close and re-open the program. Very annoying

In the past 3 or so versions I have not been able to "save as" in Illustrator. "Save Copy" works but not "save as". I just updated to the new version and still have this issue only now I can't revert back to the previous versions. Any ideas how to fix this?

When it happens in the middle of a long process, our entire operation collapses.For example, one of our processes took approximately 15+ hours to complete. However, due to an unexpected Illustrator failure, the process was interrupted and we had to restart, resulting in significant time loss.Could you please help us understand the reason behind these failures and advise how we can prevent them in the future? As mentioned, this is not the first time we’ve faced this issue, and we have already disabled automatic updates.We are using adobe Version 29.6

Hi all! I just upgraded to version 30.0 yesterday on my iMac. Up until then, when I saved an Illustrator file... it would remember the last format I saved (i.e., eps or svg) and would continue saving as that format until I changed it. Now... it is always defaulting to an ai file. Is there a way to chane that? I don't recall if I did it on purpose before, but I liked it that way... and would like to have that feature back. Thanks so much!  

Hi, I’m using the latest version of Illustrator and an Intuos Pro tablet with the newest drivers. Even so, in the new calligraphic brush I’m not able to enable any option other than Fixed and Random. Any ideas???? The layer isn’t locked

I'm trying to export a logo as an .SVG for my website but the export keeps adding extra white space for no apparent reason.  I’ve already tried Object > Artboards > Fit to Selected Art. - The artboard kisses the edges of the logo perfectly. (Looks like it's a bit cut off, but it's not when you zoom in)I’ve also tried Object > Path > Clean Up I’ve also tried View > Outline - So I can look for any random objects to delete; nothing. I've also tried artboard > artboard options - Ensured that the artboard ends on a solid numbers for Width & Height because I seen a forum where that was causing an issue with the exported file dimentionsI’ve also tried Export for Screens > Advanced Settings For Exported File Types > SVG > Unchecked the Responsive box - All that did was move my logo to the top of the extra white space instead of being in the middle of the extra white space. Few moths ago I have the persistend error with the illustrator an dragged photos . I drag photos from photoshop to my illustrator artwork but few minutes later de photo dissapear and transform in kind of blanked photo. Have someboddy  the same problem?
