In this video shapes were grouped to make a single stroke. After that each shape moved individually without ungrouping the group. How is it possible? When I tried to ungroup the group stroke disappear.15 Illustrator things everyone MUST KNOW in 2026Time 1.52

Why can't we have a branding section in Illustrator and Photoshop, etc. in 2026? I hate setting up the color swatches and fonts and styles every single time! Adobe Express is still far inferior and glitchy to compete with any of these.#featureRequest 

Over the last 3 days, the application has crashed about 5 times.The crash happens in different situations:– when using the Shape tool– when picking a color with the Eyedropper tool– sometimes even when I am not doing anythingBefore each crash, the program works normally, without freezes or heavy load.Additional information:– the application is updated to the latest version– my subscription is active– GPU drivers are up to date– there is enough free disk space on my laptop– I did not have this problem beforeThe crashes seem to happen at random and are not related to one specific action.Could you please advise how I can diagnose the cause and fix this issue?

oddly, this seems not yet posted. i have a bunch of AIRobin folders in Application Support / Adobe. Today they are 10. They became 11 just after my screenshot and i have no Adobe apps open except for CC.Sometimes i trash the ones i think are the oldest, just for fun. Nothing bad happens, yet. Why so many? They totally seem versions, so why keep old versions? 

For example, in Indesign, I can select an object, and change its dimensions in increments of 1/16”.But in Illustrator I can only do increments of 1/8”.Any way to change that?

I am experiencing a persistent "Broken File Association" issue across my Creative Cloud suite. After installing and subsequently uninstalling the Beta versions of Illustrator and Photoshop, my OS no longer recognizes .ai or .psd files.Symptoms: Blank Icons: All .ai and .psd files appear as "blank paper" icons rather than the standard Adobe app icons. Broken "Open With": Double-clicking a file does not launch the application. Instead, it triggers a system "Choose an app" pop-up. Missing from List: The current, non-beta versions of Illustrator and Photoshop do not appear as options in the recommended "Open With" menu. Current Workaround: I am forced to open the applications first and use Ctrl + O to browse for files, which is severely impacting my workflow. Troubleshooting Already Attempted: Manual Association: Attempted to "Always use this app" via the system right-click menu (failed to register). Reinstallation: Uninstalled and reinstalled the stable versions of Illustrator and

My last post was probably asking too much, so instead, does anyone have a script to deal with object visibility with details coming from a CSV/Data Sets?I will be using data variables for other informaiton in the document, like text fields, so the data wil be loaded through the data variables. I know I could set the visibilty with the spreadsheet but I have over 1000 options so instead I was hoping to just have the objectname (like Shape-F-1) as a field in the spreadsheet.I'm using CS6.Thanks  

I don’t understand what’s going on with Creative Suite lately, but it has become a huge pain.Today, I wasn’t able to open Illustrator because it says, “Adobe Illustrator 2026 quit unexpectedly.” When I click “Reopen,” everything disappears while it shows that it’s trying to launch the program — and then I’m back to the beginning.I restarted my Mac and tried again, but the same thing happened.Now I’m going to uninstall Illustrator and install the downgraded version 30.2.1 at least it is opening now.How you manage to ruin things that used to work perfectly fine is something I will never understand. I sincerely hope you’re not relying on artificial intelligence for your development team about programs, because apparently, this isn’t working. 

It is unbelievable that after years of being a loyal Adobe customer, I’m facing constant freezes in Adobe Illustrator. The software hangs right at the start, making it impossible to work efficiently.I’m a professional designer with over two decades of experience, and I’ve maintained my CC account since its inception. I only use the Pantone Connect plugin. My question to Adobe is: when are you going to look out for your users? We pay for a service that is supposed to be stable. If a clean, paid install can't handle a simple launch, what are we actually paying for?Thanks 😤

I don’t have any masks on but whenever I print this tile out, a black and white stripe shows up on my image. Is there anything I’m doing or not doing?

Help! I am unsure why but when I export Ai as a pdf. The pdf is blank. Why is this the case? Nothing is clipped into a mask layers are showing. 

Illustrator opens normally but shortly after I start working it becomes unresponsive and shows “Not Responding.” This issue began after the latest update. For the past two days I haven’t been able to continue my projects.I have to force close the program through Task Manager and after doing so, the Start menu button also stops working. I have to restart my computer again and again…I reset my preferences nothing changed. Then I uninstalled and installed again, nothing changed.I would appreciate your assistance with resolving this issue. The program is up to date. I use the latest version. My subscription is up to date. Thank you.

Hi, does anybody have any idea why these two shapes are judged to be NOT overlapping. This is the shape of Spain and Portugal. When you select them both and click on “Intersect” in Pathfinder I thought it should cut the shape of Portugal out of the yellow shape. However, when you click on “intersect” you get a message that says “the filter produced no results . Please select two overlapping paths” The shapes appear to overlap! What am I doing wrong?

When I'm working in a file and have my Library palette open, things are good for about 5-10min. Then the Library palette freezes and I can't open or close any of the folders I have in the Library. Same thing happens if I close a file and then reopen any file after about 5-10min. I have reset preferences, signed out and back in the cloud, and uninstalled and reinstalled the app. This also is happening with Photoshop but I'm more concerened with Illustrator since I use that every day. Can anyone help me with this situation - it started about a week ago. Thank you!

Hi! I've messaged on several forums before elsewhere hoping someone has a work around for this but haven't had any luck. Here is the problem I have: 1. Design a file in Illustrator, save it as an SVG and then open it in my laser cutting software (Lightburn). and the size is different. 2. I've checked off responsiveness so that's not the problem. 3. I've purchased SVG files from other places and can open their files in both Lightburn and Illustrator and the file object size is the same. 4. I know it's not off by a lot but I need it to be the exact same size as these files I'm creating will be for selling. 5. I've also designed it in my lightburn program FIRST, exported it to Illustrator and the size still changes.  I'd appreciate any help at all as to what I'm doing wrong before I scratch my eyeballs out - I've been at this for over two weeks trying to find a solution. The Lightburn program has import settings at 72 DPI and the settings I usually

I´m printing machine overlays on a Mimaki UCJV300 UV-printer. The material is transparent PC plastic.I have an issue with tranparency when I´m printing lighter colors (yellow, white, sky blue etc). How can I setup a black blocking layer in Illustrator that is alwys printed behind everything else with full coverage? I have tried to make a black rectangle at the bottom of the layer tree, but it only gets printes outside all the other objects. It doesn´t get printed behind them to act like a blocking layer.

Hi, my name is William, I have issue when I tried to open Adobe Illustrator since 3 months ago. It's always not responding. Sometimes, it takes few times untill it opened. I tried to update to newest version (currently v30.0), but the problem is still exist. I have updated to newest MacOS Tahoe 26.0.1. I am using Macbook Pro M2 Max with 32 GB RAM. I have tried to reinstall, restart, and do a clean installation, but nothing works. I have no issues with other Adobe Product when opening application, only with Adobe Illustrator. I attatch screenshot of application below.Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thankyou so much.  

So.. I slice up a design in Ai to export web jpgs for use in Dreamweaver - all good - I then make some Changess to the design and want to re-export the slices... suddenly ALL SLICES ARE NOT WORKING! The slices seem to be there, well the shape is there, but they are not active slices any more.The only fix is to re-slice the design. I had to re-slice a file 4 times the other day!! arrgghhhh!!! So frustrating to have to re-slice the design evey time I want to export. Anyone else having this issue?? got any ideas/solutions?Ive searched online but cant find any one else facing this issues.Ive tried uninstall/reinstall of Ai but no luck. WELP!
