I created a live mirror using this line as an axis. I selected the line then went to Object> Repeat> Mirror and continued from there to create the photo below. Now I am stuck with no Idea how to get rid of that center line. How do I get rid of it???  

Hello, I have been trying, with no success, to remove the background from this image. It is a sticker that I copied and am now trying to remove the red and white backgrounds and get it cropped as close to the emblem as I can. I am using this image for a flyer and would like to have it crisp and clean looking. All help would be appreciated.TIAAlan edit….I did get the image posted. :) 

When placing an image at 100% the Links Info panel is reporting that the link is at 24% scale when it should be showing as 100%. Its not effecting the physical scale of the link but it is showing the incorrect values. How to fix? Seems to be a problem since 2025 update.

 I am just testing if I can believe my eyes when I am posting in the new forum environment. I am not looking for an answer, don't ask me why. Edit: I see the answer is aye.

After applying an appearance style to a layer which contains multiple object sublayer, toggling the visibility of individual object layers on and off does not function properly. For example,  If I turn off visibility on one of the object sublayers, turning it back on will not make the object visible. This is an issue whether objects are in a group or not. 

The AppleScript command Export ignores the Export Option ‘artboard clipping’ for PNG8, PNG24 and JPEG files, which were the only file types I tried. In other words, when the option is set to true, the exported image has not been trimmed to the artboard. I happened to notice that with JPEG files, when the option blur:0 is included, the ‘artboard trimming’ option is effective. Other options with JPEG files did not that that effect. I haven’t found any options which have the same effect on PNG8 and PNG24 files.MacBook Pro 16” M2 MaxmacOS 26.2Illustrator 30.1

So far, I've tried both 30.1 and 29.8.4 and they stop responding after around 10 seconds after opening a file. When I close it, I can't open illustrator again, and when I try uninstalling it after closing, it says illustrator is still running. Pressing "restart" the laptop after closing it takes too long, if not forever, so the only way is to hold the power button to shut down. I've tried uninstalling it on the same drive and different drive, as well as logging in and out of account. Note that while this is happening, I can still use Indesign.

This work does not come to me. There is a square box next to cursor when you activated color select tool of AG. This is also missing in my file. How to fix it?Additional Tools in My Toolbar: Picking up Transparent ColorsTime 1.34  

Having an issue when using a mask. Suddenly in new update not able to change the opacity of the object in transparency panel without losing the mask object. It turns it into a solid color with no mask any time you change it from 100% Opacity. If you put an outline around the shape then it will work, but I rarely would ever want to put an outline on a shape and have never had to do this in the past. This seems a straight up program bug.

Due to a compatibility issue with my Graphtech CE5000-40 CRP cutter and the Cutting Master (CM) driver, I would need to use Illustrator 2024 rather than Illustrator 2026. Cutting master 4 supports my cutter but not Illustrator 2026, Cutting Master 5 supports Illustrator 2026 but not my cutter… Illustrator 2024 works with CM4 and my cutter… Hence the request for Illustrator 2024. 

Hi!I'm expeiencing the following issue in Illu that I can't figure out how to fix:It looks like text text has somehow separated from it's frame (not sure how this happended - I didn't do this intentionally) and I don't know how to 'join' the text fram and the text back together 😞Has anyone experienced similar and would be able to help please? 

Hi, I have an Illustrator file with multiple artboards and elements arranged on different layers. When I import the file into InDesign, the layers get multiplied based on the number of artboards, and every time I have to go on a treasure hunt to hide the layers that don’t correspond to the graphics on that specific artboard.I cannot and do not want to split the artboards into separate files.How can I fix this in Illustrator and InDesign 2025?

In Adobe Illustrator they added a color pick tool inside the color pallet dialog box which is great, so we can now pick a color from a different place on the screen… Only problem is that after a color has been selected the picker stays active, so anywhere you click it picks that color, even if you want to click on the OK button it will sample the grey of the button and overrides the color that was picked in the first place!!? Photoshop has been using this same type of color picker for years - it’s as if Illustrator doesn’t belong to Adobe and the developers started from scratch in learning how a color picker should work!?

Windows 11 Enterprise, v24H2 on a 13th gen Intel R Core i7-13700K (3.40 GHz), 128 Mb Graphics Card and 32 gb RAM, Adobe Illustrator V30.0. I am no longer able to edit any global or spot swatch. All options are grayed out. The only way I can do it is to copy the swatch and edit it before I save it. Once it is saved, all links to the option panel are grayed out again. I work for a financial institution so all access to Libraries and automatic updates are turned off. I can’t even delete the swatch. This is driving me crazy and causing issues. 

I have an image that has some negative cut outs in it. I’d like to fill them in/make them another color but how do I do that? Everytime I use a clipping mask it just changes the color of the object and not fill in the negative space. Help I’m new to illustrator

Using Illustrator, when saving an Illustrator file, the images placed are not being shown correctly when I place design on indesgin. For example, when I create an artboard in illustrator, place images, save the Illustrator file, and place it in Design, the portion that is showing is passed to the original artboard. Tried Crop to … None of them re-position to what I designed to  

For years, we have had the ability set the initial view for a PDF when exporting from InDesign. However, after years of updates to Illustrator, this feature still has not been added. To set an initial view for an Illustrator file, you have to save the PDF, open it in Acrobat, set it there and then re-save. Why is this not available in Illustrator?

Illustrator 2026 displays the colors of a placed PSD file differently than Photoshop.I checked the software settings in the screenshots below: both files use the Adobe RGB (1998) color profile, and the color management settings have been synchronized via Adobe Bridge. I’ve also attached a minimal reproduction file. I hope this bug can be fixed soon.

Many os us (designers) don't have a huge screen to be able to spread all windows/tools allover thus, my request is regarding the way the colours names are displayed in the swatches window (specially in Illustrator and InDesign). I can’t see all values!!!  For a high-end detailed work my screen is set for maximum pixels, thus the letter size is quite small.Even using the "small list view", all values can't been seen (this is what I see now: C=30 M=60 Y=4...) unless the swatches window is really wide... using too much space out of my screen.Maybe a quick solution could be using C30 M60 Y40 K10 instead of C=30 M=60 Y=40 K=10There are also many space “not used”, but still the total full colour value can’t be seen.

Hi! Could someone please help explain to me how to work with 9-slice scale images? I have downloaded images from shutterstock and the majority of them are these files. I can not figure out how to remove the tiled background without it messing up the look of the image. Thank you!

I can’t really add anymore detail other than to provide a screenshot and ask why my Adobe Illustrator opening screen looks like this? Doesn’t happen with Photoshop, but it DOES happen with Premier. So it seems random on which programs it does it too.

is there any way to add a special value for a stroke value like 0.01 pt in adobe illustrator so that you can use that new value as default without writing it every time.
