Newbie here. I got illustrator on iPad to try to create/design guitars as vectors for fun. I bought some files to play with, they're pretty detailed with layers so it's kinda a bummer I can't easily merge/flatten all the lays, maybe a future update will fix it. Anyways, the .eps files included in my purchase open, but the .ai file doesn't show anything at all. I can't find much I can do using an iPad, tried paying for an online repair tool but it didn't work either. I don't have a Mac or Computer w/ illustrator to try to fix the file. It's getting ridiculous.    I've tried contacting help, and I'm being told that no one can or will help me, and that there is no support for Illustrator iPad. I'm paying a monthly fee for this software to work. (And yes, I've deleted and reinstalled, I've updated to the newest version, I have an iPad Pro, etc.)   Here's what's happening:While I'm drawing on the iPad, suddenly without warning and for no reason, my already drawn brush lines will default to a 1pt square line. In the cases fo the attched files, the lines are drawn in 1pt variable width (pressure) set to 98%. "Undo" does not affect the change, because no action made it happen. It's just a glitch in the program. So far, the only solution is to stop, open the file in the desktop version, and reassign the proper brush to the the lines again, checking every layer (sometimes it's all layers, even locked ones, sometimes it's only a few). It's incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. The l

  Issue with Adobe Illustrator on iPad   I am experiencing an issue with Adobe Illustrator on my iPad where my Apple Pencil keeps getting stuck or freezing within the app. I have thoroughly checked my Apple Pencil by using a second one as well, but the issue persists, so it’s likely a software problem with the Illustrator app.   Steps I have tried so far:    1. Verified that my Apple Pencil is functioning correctly by testing it with other apps and a different Apple Pencil.  2. Ensured that Adobe Illustrator is updated to the latest version.  3. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but the issue remains.   I would appreciate any assistance you can provide to resolve this issue, as it is impacting my ability to work smoothly on my projects. Incredibly frustrating to have Illustrator auto close paths when drawing with the pencil. How to turn this feature off?

does anyone have suggestions for saving an illustrator file ( iPad version) as an .ai or .eps format. Help  

Hola, a pesar de haber tenido asesoramiento no logro que Creative Cloud me muestre versiones anteriores de Illustrator para descargar, con las ultimas no logro que CUTTING MASTER en cualquiera de sus versiones pueda correr bajo esta aplicacion y estoy con mucho trabajo y necesito con urgencia poder utilizar la aplicacion para el plotterde corte. Alguien tiene algun link a versiones anteriores de Illustrator? Agradeceré cualquier ayuda que me puedan brindar. Saludos! Andrea

Hello,  Can someone show me where to find the automatic guides in Illustrator for iPad? I do see where the guides toggle is turned on but I don't know how to access the rulers to drag. Looking for some help/guidance here. 

Whenever i press addin your own fonts in the settings it takes me to the web page where it says to upload your own font using the plus button next to the your fonts heading in the propeties section for text but when i open my own app that aformentioned + button doesn't exist and i can infact not add the font i wanted to add 

I bought an iPad Pro just to create repeating patterns but cannot seem to create a swatch. Is this a limitation? Thanks. 

Hi everyone! I had a couple questions, I'm working on a large scale project on AI with my iPad. The project will be 20ft by 10ft. I am having trouble with adobe saving my changes on the iPad. Every time I try and save my edit it says "can't save file" and will bring me back to my original design. It's super frustrating because I do all this work and edits just to have it not save on me. Do you suggest moving to a computer? Another thing is that my files won't save all together on my iPad the same icon "can't save file" pops up in red. thanks for taking the time to read over this! My deadline is this afternoon! 

I've got the most recent version of Illustrator for iPad and it is six months old.  Apparently not even bug fixes have happened in all that time.  Meanwhile we are still waiting for essential features like selection by stroke color, etc.  Anybody know the status?  I really like the spp and use it a lot, but am disappointed by the lack of updates. And while we're on the subject, how about making Illustraor and Photoshop available on Apple Vision Pro?

After creating a text box I can't figure out how to edit text. The keyboard doesn't pop up. I've looked at the in app and online help and that didn't help. I attached a screen recording. On an iPad. 

There are sooo many functions that are basic on the desktop but still not on the iPad even after YEARS of requests and votes, etc. I had envisioned the use of the iPad to contact clients and make revisions on the spot with out the need for a full blown computer system to back me up.  These past few years of waiting have been very disappointing.  Warp/Envelope tools for example. critical in my line of work...still waiting.  There just isn't any support for the furtherance of this platform anymore with Adobe.  Affinity though continues to move forward.

Hi, new with Illustrator on the Ipad. I've figured out how to create radial-mirror-grid... but if I want to turn it off, how to I do that? Once I create a radial repeat and want to go back to a single object? Most likely a simple thing that I just can't seem to find. Please help out. Thx

On Illustrator on the iPad, how do I move a finished image from a subfolder in a "work" folder to another subfolder in a Finished folder? Stein 

Help! Please help, I'm having trouble trying to add gradient color to text in Adobe Illustrator on iPad. I did it once, but can't seem to do it again. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Been trying to figure it out all day! I select the text, press color, then gradient doesn't show up like it does when nothing is selected. [ moved from Illustrator to Illustrator on the iPad forum by moderator ]  

I believe there was an update about two weeks ago. I can edit my image about 4-5 times. Then the app freezes for minutes at a time. I've tried everything. Power off, power on...log out, log back in. Uninstall and reinstall. Power off and power on my iPad? This is day three. It's effecting my work and my money! Can anyone offer some help?  thank you, Kim Casey   [Renamed by Mod]

There is an instant crash anytime I open an illustrator document to work on, I am authenticated and have paid the subscription.   it doesn't matter if it's a new document or a previously created one.  attached a video below.

I am having issues with the guides in the app. The guides seem to work well with the main artboard but when I add more I can not add guides at specific points on with X and Y axis. When I type in a number it jumps to a random high number that is either minus or plus.

Hello, I am a creative cloud subscriber on my desktop. I want to install adobe illustrator on my iPad, but the App Store is saying I have to pay for the app. Can anyone tell me how to get the app on my iPad using my existing creative cloud account? thanks! Gina {Renamed by MOD}

I been a user of Adobe for a few years and I recently wanted to try the Illustrator for IPad. I can log in into the Creative Cloud in my IPad but when I log in into Illustrator it gives me the options of either get the $9.99/month for Illustrator, $14.99/month for Adobe Design Mobile Bundle or to sign out. I read that I could use Illustrator for IPad without any extra charges to my existing account. 

Where is the arc tool on iPad illustrator? Or are the tool's limited for illustrator on iPad, and if so why ? 

Can anyone cofirm whether Illustrator for Ipad supports pencil hover for iPad? I tried a new iPad Pro in the Apple store and although Apple's apps support the feature the version of Illustrator installed did not. Apparently Procreate does support it although the Procreate app on the store ipad did not. Many thanks.

I go to find the files on iCloud and they're greyed out. I save them to the iPad and they're still greyed out. I have a simple 5K gif I'd like to open and a bunch of small jpegs - what am I doing wrong?
