I have watched videos on how to use AI in Lightroom Classic, but I don't see the AI option in my version which is 14.3.1.  It is running on Windows 11 Pro, Release 24H2.    I would appreciate your expert tips 🙂

I would like to request assistance regarding the Select Subject feature in Adobe Lightroom Classic. I've tried using various photos, but whenever I click on Select Subject or Select Object, a short loading animation appears for about one second and then disappears—however, nothing happens afterward. The mask remains empty, and no part of the image is selected. I am using the latest version of Lightroom Classic, which I just downloaded yesterday from Adobe Creative Cloud. I kindly ask for your help. Thank you very much.

Hello, The Lightroom Classic app has a greyed-out traffic sign in the logo. Whenever I try to open it, the same message is displayed" The app Adobe Lightroom Classic can not be opened, because it is possibly damaged or incomplete." I've started my Mac twice in safe mode. The logo is displayed the same. But I can't click the app. I'm using a Macbook on OSX 14.0 and I've tried to install (and uninstall afterwards) multiple Lightroom Classic versions up to 13.0.1. I'm hoping someone is able to help!   

HI - I am using Lightroom Classic CC and suddenly when I delete my images they are not showing in the recycle bin.  What has happened and how do I put it right please?Many thanks

Hi there, anybody experienced slow-loading thumbnails in a library section? I use a Mac mini m1 with 16GB RAM. Before lightroom ran smoothly, but after the last update it became extremely slow. I made smart previews for all the images and still in the library view the thumbnails are not loading fast. Another issue is that I get an error window every time when I close LR. 

I have the old desktop version of Lightroom Classic from before subscriptions existed. Because I've now graduated to à mirrorless, I'd like to get the latest and greatest LR Classic. I can't find a plan for LrC standalone and I'm wondering if it's not displaying it for me because of my old version. It only shows up for larger package deals. I just want the standalone computer version without the cloud. What am I missing? Does anyone have a link to share? Do I need to call and speak to them? Also wondering about my catalogs from the old version. 

My Lightroom classic display has suddenly gone awry and I have no idea how to get it back to what it was. See attached photo. I did have it set up to open up on my graphics tablet but now it's stuck on the iMac screen and I can't drag it back. There is no minimise or maximise buttons showing (the green, yellow, red) and the view is per the photo. I can't drag the edges to increase or decrease the display size either. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it immediately went back to this view. Can anyone help please? TIA x  

Hi all, My first post on here, I've been using Lightroom and Photoshop for years. All of a sudden, when I go to the crop overlay, it seems to auto set to custom aspect which for whatever reason is 1x1. I want to keep this as to as shot/original aspect ratio, as its always been before. This is usually 3x2, which I prefer anyway. I have tried going into custom and putting 3x2. But on the next image, when I go to the crop menu, its gone back to custom (1x1) as default. Does anyone know how I default this back to as shot?I have never changed any default crops, neither have I cropped to 1x1 previously so not sure why this has started. Cheers in advance. Sam 

The filmstrip does not show all the images, even when in fullscreen mode, the last image either gets cut off or it's hidden. I had to use the arrow keys to get to the last image. I tried resizing the whole window, but nothing helped. Did I miss something? 

Is there a way to adjust on export?  I use 2 different print labs for events.  One lab looks good but the other I have to increase my temp by 500 and decrease my exposure by 10 for everything to look correct.  Is there an easy way to do this?  Images are close but not all the same so sync will not work. 

I have import preview setting "Embedded and Sidecar"Generate standard previews while cpu idle turned offLRC still randomly starts generating standard previews while I am culling images.

I edit in Luminar AI and Luminar Neo from time to time. I right click in LR to edit in, do my editing in Luminar AI or Neo and when I click apply in those programs, the newly edited picture is not showing up on my strip in LR. The stack is there, with just duplicates of the original image. I've looked all through LR and unfortunatly Luminar AI and Neo do not save the photo to their system because it is supposed to be exported back to LR, I did the latest updates today for all Adobe products.

Working in develop mode. Deleting one photo causes all photos after this one to be deleted and moved to trash. In order to restore them need to do import again. This phenomina happened twice in the last two days.

After updating PS and LR ,deleting an object do not does his job anymore.It REPLACE things I like to delete.Can I fix this?LR 14.3PS 26.6 

Hi , I am creating new presets and after i apply the preset makes image look unusable, not sure how to describe it.  aditionally , i have a big problem with inconsistent editing. most of my photos are from different lighting scenarios ( weddings ) but i am unable to use previous edit because it looks totally different in new catalog! what am i doing wrong wrong?  [Moved from Lightroom ecosystem forum to Lightroom Classic forum by moderator]

Lightroom classic: when in Develop mode, dark pictures show an overlay of different colors. Similar to the black clip on the histogram.  I already try so many options, but nothing seems to fix it. When I open the image on Library, it shows the normal colors. Any idea what I am doing wrong?  Thank you! 

Here is my process when in the Lightroom Development module at times: At given times I may have a series of 5-20 images where I need to add a quick adjustment brush to each image. An example would be a portrait of a person whose hair a want to darken down a bit or a white wedding dress that I want to darken a bit to show the detail.   Question:Is there a way to keep the adjustment brush open and active as I cycle through image after image to apply the brush? So far I have not found a solution and have to continually hit the letter "K" to repoen the brush as I advance to each image. I find workflow would be speed up by allowing one to keep the adjustment brush open and active during the progression of going from image to image with my arrow keys.  Thoughts? Solutions?  -Brandon

Unfortunately, Adobe has once again made an unexpected change that can possibly break some plugins. This is the case for the very useful Keyboard Tamer plugin written by Timothy Armes. What change ? Until recently and since 2016, Lightroom was reading the keyboard shortcuts from this file :  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic\Resources\fr\TranslatedStrings_Lr_xx_XX.txt (xx_XX being the standard language identifier i.e. fr_FR for french). Now LR is reading the shortcuts from a file named TranslatedStrings.txt in the same folder. The Keyboard Tamer plugin does its magic by modifying / adding shortcuts in the  TranslatedStrings_Lr_xx_XX.txt file. So, the plugin is still working but the created / modified shortcuts are no longer taken into account because they are not stored in the correct file. It's interesting to note that Lightroom is now back to the naming scheme that was active before 2016 (at this time, Keyboard Tamer was already broken once

I run macOS Big Sur, I have an older mac and I can't go past Big Sur, and I need to use Lightroom Classic for some important editing work. On the Adobe CC, I can find older versions of normal Lightroom to install, but none for Lightroom Classic. Who do I contact so I can get an older version that is compatible with my device

I know I can import photos from camera as DNG.But lossy DNG seem very useful. Its basically visually lossless and takes much less space.Can I set Lightroom to import files as lossy DNG?Thanks.

Every single time I try to export my photo to my computer, it just keeps on saying "Some export operations were not performed." "There was an unknown error. (1.) I even tried restarting Lightroom Classic along with updating it. Nothing is working for me.   

I downloaded the latest LRc (may 9th). Now it won't open my catalog, telling me it already being used (it's not). I uninstalled and reinstalled LRc. Shut down, restarted the mac. No joy. Everything was working fine before the LRc update. Really frustrating. MacBook Pro M3 proup to date Sequoia 15.4.1LRc 14.3.1 I uploaded the message I get 

Im mostley working with lightroom classic and phothoshop. my hard drive has crashed, 5-6 TB. will be sent and possibly be saved. it will take at least a month. i have partial backups (made a year ago) and some on the cloud. my directories are saved.  previously had a major problems with synchronization but now it works very well. Now am unsure how i best can work with my pictures that i photograph while waiting for a possibly repaired hard drive.Can i f ex open the saved directory and import new images and then revert them to the hopefully saved hard drive when it arrives? or can i use an old backup, and import new images into it. But what happens to all my projects in different directories, as well as all my albums in flickr, that i have saved in classic. What is the best to do in this situation. Uncertain what to do? 

Massively frustrating having to restrict myself to older versions of LR classic as I have no confidence in the recent upgrades. Upgraded to 14.2 when it came out hoping it would be stable, but no the same issues   Have followed tips here previously of deleting "helper" file, no luck there. Have reinstalled old/new versions, no luck.   I've used Lightroom since before it was Lightroom. If I'm missing something I'd love to know.    Bug info 1. LR classic 14.2 2. Mac os 15.4.1 3. Image in library won't display tag/star rating/colour 3. Can't create collection/smart collection 3. Can't rename collection 3.  No loupe info displayed 4. These are basic functions that don't work, ie the actual result means I can't do anything above.   Thanks for your help. There is a cool functionality within Adobe Lightroom Web. You can publish Web Galeries easyily and very comfortable. Unfortunaley still years the funcionality is limited in sorting. Not even the simple sorting by name or date sometimes works and sometimes it doesnt. For example I did not find any way to sort the different Galeries in the overview. Sorting the images within a Galerie worked in the past, but the "how to" changed from LR version to version. Sameer from Adobe gave a good instruction a couple of years ago, unfortunaetly this does not worh anymore.  Can someone help please ?1. How can I sort the different galeries (the list seem to be random sorted)2. ho can I sort the images within a galerie (even when I sort them in LR C or in LR Web correytly it does not appear correctly in the public Web version).
