I will be away from my home computer for the winter. My images and LR catalogs are on external HDs attached to my 2020 iMac. I will need acess to those files to get any work done. My current Adobe sunscription is the base $9.99/mo plan. As of 15 JAN I will either have to change this to annual to keep it or change to another plan. Right now, I'm not using the cloud service - all my image files are stored locally. I am unclear on how to access them while I'm away. Can I just take the HD with me and then bring it back when i return home? will it sync? or should I change my subscription to get a 1 TB cloud plan? Is it worth the extra money?Thanks.

I just installed Lightroom Classic 2024 on a new Windows 11 laptop. My images are stored on an external drive and appear in LR, however, the OS (C:) folder and subfolders are greyed out; each displaying a question mark. So, for example, I can't access the subfolder Pictures to import images into my Catalog. Thanks for yout help.

I have Dng photos on my Iphone 16 Pro and in exporting them to LrC on my MacBook M Pro they are converted to jpeg's. How can they be inported into LrC and remain as Raw images?  I am using the LR app on my iPhone.Thanks, Adrian

The arrow keys are no longer working. I use them a lot to rasie and lower things like exposure, contrast, and shadows. I am using a Mac with lightroom classic 10.4 release. How do I fix this? TIA

Hi, I fairly new to LRC and still finding my way around.I take photos on a phone and a Canon 80D.  The files are mixed together in a folder, and tagged and titled using Adobe Bridge.I export the files to JPEG in LRC - the All Metadata setting is set, and the files are created successfully. When output JPEG files are viewed in Bridge or other products, the Tags and Title are present.  When viewed through Windows File Manager, these fields are only populated for the output files that originated from a phone based JPG.  All those that had a CR2 file as the input to the LRC export are missing this info both in the standard windows details view or if viewed individually using Properties>Details.If I load one of the errant files into Photoshop and save it with the same filename, all fields are displayed for that file in Windows File Manager.I can't work out if I'm doing something wrong, it's a Windows bug or an LRC bug.Has anyone else come across this issue?

I get this error message right after Lightroom Classic startup:   Lightroom cannot write to the following directorioes.  Until this problem is resolved, syncing from Lightroom may not function correctly. \\Mac\Home\Pictures Show in Finder button has no luck locating it either.   What can I do?   Running LrC 14.1.1 on Mac Studio Ultra M2 with Sequoia 15.1.1   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

I have recently been having issues with the import module and during testing to solve the issue Keywords were being duplicated. Inadvertently (stupidly) I deleted the wrong keywords for around 5000 images. These are only in one catalogue and the images are stored in folders by year (2021, 2022 etc - no month sub folders).  To fix this I am assuming I can restore a previous back-up and get the keywords back and associated with the correct files. But if I do this I will lose all the Edits and Collection folders I have made in the last two weeks. I have a memory issue and cannot remember what exactly I have done in that period. Is there any way to selectively save and restore for a set period of time?

The amount of the presets that I'm trying to copy to other images are not paste correctly, i.e 50 amount on the first image, yet still 100 on the second image.Please help.   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

Buenos días.   Después de una sesión de fotos, como siempre, voy a importar las fotos realizadas y el sistema empieza la tarea pero automáticamente se pone en pausa y así se puede pasar horas sin ningún avance.  He resinstalado la aplicación, alta de nuevo catálogo, etc...pero se queda igual...no hay manera. I could not open my lightroom classic this morning. I hade to choose a catalog. Stupid by me, I opend 13.5. I dont know what to do. In my lightroom map in my computer I only have -12 and -13 mars. How can I find -14?  

Since updating to 14.1.1 a few days ago, my catalogue is not backing up. I also notice that the programme is slow to close.  Windows 11. desktop. 

Mir ist gerade ein extremes Problem aufgefallen.   Ich gehe auf einen Oberordner mit vielen Unterordnern in denen Bilder vorhanden sind, um diesen aus dem Katalog zu entfernen. Es geht mir bei dem Fall darum die Ordner mit Bildern in einem anderen Katalog zu haben und in diesem Katalog nicht.   Also gehe ich auf den Ordner und dann auf entfernen.   Jetzt müsste Lightroom den Oberordner inklusive aller Unterordner und Bilder aus dem Katalog entfernen. Ich bekam aber eine Fehlermeldung, dass bestimmte Ordner nicht in den Papierkorb verschoben werden können. Nur aus diesem Grund fiel mir auf, dass die Ordner nicht nur aus dem Katalog entfernt werden sondern auch in den Papierkorb verschoben werden. Ich habe NICHT auf die Bilder geklickt und bin dort auf entfernen gegangen.   Das problem bestekht in jedem Katalog. It is my understanding that there are 2 types of chromatic aberration: lateral (transverse)longitudinal (axial) I have read that the LrC Remove Chromatic Aberration option can remove lateral, but not longitudinal. Sometimes if you switch to the Manual tab and carefully by trial and error adjust the Defringe color sliders you can remove some of the longitudinal, but I have found that it often works poorly and will also change similar non-chromatic aberration colors in the photo to monochrome also. Sometimes in photos I get purple fringing, especially things that are against a bright background (sky, etc.).Recently I noticed in the masking tool that there is a Defringe control in the Detail section. I tried it on some purple fringe and it seems to do a good job most of the time. Sometimes the purple fringe is in various places so you must use the brush to mask multiple areas before using Defringe. I try to remove a person from a picture with ai. LRC adds a new person instead. What am I doing wrong.

Lightoom Classic 14.1.1 on Mac Os 15.1.1 Sequoia fails to back up on exit , and none of the answers here work! I have tried everything (not a permissions problem!) This is the second time this has happened and the only way I was able to fix it last time was to create a new catalog and ire-import 75K images. Very annoying! Not a good solution. Backups are very important as too many times i've had to rely on them when a catalog becomes corrupt, which happens far too often. Is there any solution short of exporting/importing and/or creating a whole new catalog? Capture One is becoming more and more appealing.

I'm looking for advice on how to print mirror images from the print module of Lightroom CC. We are making iron-on graphics for T shirts from images with text must be printed as mirror images.

I have been using LR for about 20 years. Yesterday I was looking for an updated version and found LR Claasic 14.xxx. Downloaded and installed that version. Started LR and it tells me that I need to convert my catalog to the new version. Did that. LR opens and tells me that I need to purchase LR Classic. This was not my intention and Adobe doesn't mention this during the upgrade process. I am opposed to "renting" software. So I reinstalled version 6. Now when I open LR it tells me that I cannot open my catalog because it's a newer version. So it looks like Adobe is holding my files hostage unless I send them money. There's a term for that. Anyone have a solution?

Me pregunto si hay alguna forma de aplicar la reduccion de ruido con inteligencia artificial a varias imagenes a la vez, pues mi equipo no tiene suficientes recursos y tarda alrededor de 5 minutos al realizar este proceso por imagen, cuando tengo que reducir el ruido a varias imagenes es tedioso ir una por una a aplicar esta reduccion de manera individual, al sincronizar los ajustes y/o crear un ajuste prestablecido la opcion de reduccion de ruido con inteligencia artificial no esta disponible, agradezco si alguien tiene una solucion, muchisimas gracias. 

My M2 Pro Mac is running Ventura 13.7.2.  I did not update to Sonoma and have not yet updated to Sequoia.  Looking at the new features in Sonoma and Sequoia I have not seen anything I care about, but if LrC and Topaz run faster on them than Ventura then that would be a good reason to update my MacOS. I have heard conflicting things about the use of the Apple Neural Engine in LrC, for example.  Some have said LrC uses it and some say it doesn't.  I have also heard conflicting statements saying the Neural Engine is faster in Sonoma and faster yet in Sequoia and other statements saying it has gotten slower and is actually faster in Ventura.  Some have said that Sequoia also uses a lot more memory. I am not against updating to Sequoia, but since there are no new features I have seen so far that I care about then I am in no hurry.  But if there are performance improvements for LrC and Topaz then I would then have a good reason to u

Lightroom Classic 11.3 on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. "Use Graphics Processor" is Off in LRC Preferences.  Soon after I updated from LRC 11 to 11.2, suddenly the LRC app window appears on the wrong display when I start it and I can not move or resize its window. The app's title bar (with the red/yellow/green gummies) is hidden under the Mac menu bar, even when I go to System Preferences and enable "Automatically hide and show the menu bar". LRC is not in full screen mode, as it is not in its own desktop Space and the Window menu says "Enter full screen", not "Exit full screen".  I can enter and exit full screen mode, but it doesn't fix the problem. I also can't click and drag the sides or corners of the LRC app window to resize it. The mouse pointer changes to the normal double-sided arrow, but the window doesn't change. Using Spaces, either the function key or Ctrl-up arrow, I can see the title bar on the LRC window and I can then drag the app window onto a differ

Please can someone help me sort out a catalog issue I have?I have come back to using Lightroom after a number of years, my catalog is arranged by years and all files are stored on a dedicated hard drive, backed up to a NAS, labelled "Lightroom".All files are stored in Lightroom (D:)\users\Lightroom\PicturesMy files are somehow split into two file structures in the folders pane but both structures point to the same file location on 😧 (See screenshot)I have in the past tried to correct this and got into a terible mess so would appreciiate any help to enable me to get this all into one list as my OCD is going into overdrive! Thanks   

I have reverted back to V14.1.0 and rebooted and all is now as it was so I will just wait to a new release/fix but I wanted to report it. Since the update V14.1.1 I noticed there were Masking Lag from wither Keyboard or my Loupedeck+ for editing.I have come across this issue previously, and it was when the new AI features were added, such as the Lens Blur feature and the same thing happened.Several reboots and a Loupedeck update. Still the same 'input' lag.   TroubleshootingI have optimised the catalogue.Ram is not an issue or CPU as they typically run about 15% RAM, 20% CPU. LR Classic 14.1.1. hängt sich beim JPG-Export im Batchmodus auf. Einzelexport funktioniert problemlos. Speziell bei Fotos mit mehreren Masken scheint das Problem aufzutreten. Gibt es Abhilfe? (Ja, ich habe ausreichend Speicher und Rechenpower)...
