I'm making a book but when I go to the book module I get a '!' on the left corner of my photo's and this means that the photo can't be found or is offline.I've made books in the past and this never happened. I don't know what I'm doing wrong right now.Herlinde
Please help. All of a sudden my exported photos look very different once exported. Somehow they are MUCH warmer. I notice this too when I view the same photo and toggle between the Libary and Develop modules the photo looks different ( warmer ). Even if i toggle between full screen (F) view and Develop Module the same happens. I am editing in sRGB and exporting in sRGB format. It's driving me crazy & I must have a setting incorrect somewhere. I think the problem only happened recently when I updated Lightroom. I've never had this happen previously. Thanks & regards, Steve
When I right-click on a folder in the folder panel and I select "Create folder inside <FolderName>", the Folder panel immediately collapses up and then I need to expand it and scroll back down and find the folder I just created. This can get tedious because I have a very big folder tree. Is there a way to stop this happening?
In the past few months I have noticed that Lightroom Classic no longer creates .xmp files automatically even after develop changes have been made. I have "automatically write changes into .xmp” selected within the catalog settings. In order to create the .xmp files, I have to manually create them using “save metadata”.Yes, I know that the edits are stored within the catalog but, should I move folders in windows explorer rather (My workflow requires that I do) than move within lightroom, I lose the edits. I’m not looking for a workaround or to change my process, just trying to figure out how to have Lightroom automatically create .xmp files containing my edits as it has in the past.Currently I am on the latest version, 14.0.1 but, this issue was present on the recent version as well.Photo files in question are .cr3Any ideas? Adobe's AI Denoise was astoundingly good. It required some experimentation to find the right amount to apply. But I've literally saved photos shot at ISO 51200 with it. Even at 1%, it would dim the bright color pixels and give massive improvement. So, when I was seeing moderately high ISO numbers in a senior photo shoot when the clouds came over, I shot anyway and expexted to use AI Denoise to get them into a really good state. But unfortunately I had installed an update and didn't notice that this was (effectively from my perspective) broken. I find the "Raw Details" part of AI Denoise in this latest version, really wrecks the photo before Denoise is even applied. Meaning, "Raw Details" alone wrecks the photo. And AI Denoise forces this to be on and does not fix the damage.I may have postponed an update or two before this, so am not sure how far I need to roll back to get to a version that does not have this significant change to AI Denoise. I understand that it may have always been doi
Hi everyone! I'm facing a challenge with managing date metadata in my photos, and I would really appreciate your help. Context: I started by looking into whether Google Photos could automatically change the capture date in the metadata so I could download the photos and maintain the order in other galleries, like Samsung's. Unfortunately, I found that it can't do this automatically; it only allows me to manually adjust the "creation date" on their platform, not the IPTC or XMP metadata fields where the "capture date" is stored in the photo file. Now, I’m looking for a way to automate this process. Ideally, I want software that can read the date from the file name and place it in the "capture date" metadata field of each image. Does anyone have experience or advice on how to achieve this? Maybe there’s a tool or script that makes it easy. I'm asking here because perhaps Adobe has already provided a tool for this in their suite, or even Premiere might be able to help.
I have my LRC catalog and all images stored on my SanDisk SSD, so nothing after import is kept on my MacBook Pro, well, sort of? So after taking images, I connect my external SSD to my Mac, I connect my card reader, insert my SD card and of course import all images. Now, where I get confused is that once each week LRC asks me if I want to back up my catalog. I select yes and it puts a folder onto the desktop of my Mac. I now have 36 folders on my desktop. So the questions I have are: How many of these folders should I actually keep over time, should they be kept somewhere else besides on my desktop and if so should it be on my external SSD along with my catalog and how to set that up? I have also been advised to make another physical backup of my external SSD drive onto another external SSD. What is the correct way of doing this? Just for more info, I also have used Backblaze from day 1. Thank you for any help with all t
Seit ca. 2 Monaten wird mein System komplett lahm gelegt, wenn ich Lightroom starte. Habe schon alles versucht, Updates gemacht, Finger wund gegooglet, ja sogar Windows neu augesetzt, alles kein Erfolg. Vielleicht kann ja hier jemand helfen. Im Anhang die Systeminfos. Schon mal vielen Dank und viele Grüße
Ok, so I am using MacOS 15.0.1 with the latest LRC 14.0.1 I seem to be back to a faulty print module, where the page set up on shows "Any Printer", and doesn't show the printers installed on the mac. This is very much like the problems in early summer of 2024. Is anyone else having the same issues? CheersSteve

I see there is on file Lightroom Catlog-v13-3 Previews.Irdata is 120GB. This is consuming my space. I have two question.Since I seelcted catlog backup folder on external disk, do I cleanup/delete earlier catlog file from my IMac disk? How can I reduce size of file Lightroom Catlog-v13-3 Previews.Irdata? Hi Smart People I need help. Lightroom is crippling slow to load the images and I have done everything I can find / think of to speed it up. In no particular order. I am running the very latest release, 14.0.1. I am up to date and running the latest from Apple on Sequoia 15.01.1 I have 72 GB of memory I have the AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB Graphics Card. I have a 4 TB external hard drive connected through the Lightening Port and I have 1.4 TB free on that. I disabled all of my plugins. I have optimized my Catalog I only have a 19,000 images in my catalog I have adjusted the Performance to use the Grapics Processor and have a 45 GB cache. I downsized my preview to below the resolution of my Mac. I ran system checks on the hard drive and external hard drive and all showed up as great. Anything else you can recommend?
Let me get this straight. LR Classic 14.0 and 14.01 are causing a boatload of problems, and there are many recommendations to not upgrade, but syncing has stopped unless I do? Really? Damned if I do, damned if I don't?
Is it possible to update my Imac from Montery 12.7.6 to Mac Os Ventura 13.6. Otherwise it is not possible to use the newest version of Adobe Lightroom Calssic. Please give me a reaction.
I recently imported a batch of images that I shot in a dark club and the original import images that I looked at last night did not have this massive amount of noise in the blue areas. The noise just showed up today and I'm scratching my head as to why. I have deleted the imported images and re-imported twice.I have checked the original RAW files and they seem fine.I have uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom Classic on my Mac. My guess is that there is a setting somewhere I have missed that is causing this? Attaching screenshot of Lightroom look as well as a .png version of the original image. Attaching a scr
As of latest update to LR Classic (Windows 11, also up to date), I find that ratings and color labels are not updating on the thumbnail in grid view when changed. Photo info in bar at bottom of grid shows the rating and color label correctly. Rating and lables are displayed correctly after exiting and restarting LR. See attached image which shows a selected photo with this issue. [moved from 'bugs' to 'discussions' according to the community rules - Mod.]
Hi Even with opacity set to 100% clone or heal does not fully cover the area. Is someone else seeing this as well? I did all the usual stuff like resetting the preferences, having the latest GPU driver installed. Turning GPU support on/off does not make any difference. LrC 14.0.1 on Win 10.
After the utter shambles when Lightroom wouldn't tether with most Nikons, tethering came back... then it went again .... then it came back ... and now it's gone again. After almost any CC, LR or MacOS upgrade, tethering with Nikon D850 doesn't work on M1 chip laptop. Works fine on older iMac with intel chips. Nikon D850, Mac M1 Air, latest Sonoma, latest CC and LR updates. Yes, I'm running in Rosetta emulation mode, yes, I've given CC/LR full disc access, yes, I've tried the removing the memory card trick (which never worked), yes, the computer can see the camera, yes, I'm extremely fed up with Adobe.
Tracklog auto-tagging may be broken in recent releases. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Select photosSwitch to Map moduleLoad a tracklogApply timezone adjustments if necessaryChoose Auto-Tag EXPECTED BEHAVIOR Photos should be placed on the track appropriately. ACTUAL BEHAVIOR Lightroom reports "No matching photos" VERSIONS Lightroom Classic 13.3.1, 13.4 on OS X 14.5, MacBook Pro M3. SCREENSHOT The following screenshot shows a time-offset tracklog that should find matching photos, but does not.The time ranges for the selected photos and the tracklog overlap, but Lightroom still reports "No matching photos". OTHER Tracklog was generated with iOS app Geotag Photos 2, with both camera (Sony DSC-RX100M5A) and device (iPhone 12) set to UK timezone. Running Lightroom on a computer in US Eastern (-5 hours). Auto-tagging has worked previously with similar tracklogs/timezone offsets.
I was trying to purge my Camera Raw Cache settings, but accidentally clicked on the button to purge my Video Cache Settings. I immediately pressed "cancel" so it would stop purging the video cache, but now the screen has been stuck on the same page all night. I'm nervous to restart my computer with Lightroom still running in the back, but I don't know any other solution to get off of this page. Is it safe for me to restart my computer while Lightroom Classic is still open? It also won't quit when I press the "quit" button on the app, so I don't know what else to do in order to get off the frozen screen.

Whenever I import raw files into Lightroom, all of them are saved under my OneDrive, clogging up my C drive space. Is it possible to change the path for these raw files to get saved to a hard drive? I cannot find any way to change it. Thank you!
I'm still dealing with an unexpected crash when working with DNG files from the DJI mini3. I have new WIN11 Current versions of Lightroom. In the event of a fall, the entire system will freeze and restart. If I process RAW from my Canon, no problem occurs. Has anyone solved a similar problem? I had the entire computer checked, the technician said it was perfectly fine. [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
After I upgraded LRC to 14.0.1 I and when I ceate a new mask for local editing, there are already settings in the mask: Exposure -1,02, Blacks 10, Colortemp 14, Clarity 25 and Dehaze 20.That is quite annoying because I have to reset them everytime before I can start working on my local edits.Anbody else have this issue?Have some edit-parameters "got stuck" anywhere? I have restartet my PC several times since I first discovered. this.
It seems that sometimes address lookup / reverse geocoding doesn't work reliably or cannot work because I had no internet connection when I imported photos. In these cases, no location information is looked up and it also seems this doesn't happen again later. Is there any way to trigger this process again manually?
