Hello, I'm using LR for years, not a single issue until I decided to buy a new desktop-PC, but...My PC is freezing (only button reset works) or LrC crashing during any of these: image edits, navigating trough images, importing images, applying Lens Blur.... Fresh clean Win11 Pro install with license, genunine from Microsoft website, with all updates and drivers done. Fresh clean and latest Nvidia Studio drivers. Fresh and latest Lightroom Classic, licensed and installed from Adobe, with new catalog and fresh images imported. I want to mention that I tried without success these:- images, catalog and LrC on Sata SSD (1 TB);- images, catalog and LrC on M.2 SSD (1 TB);- different screen resolutions: 4k, UHD, HD, etc;- different Nvidia driver versions, both Studio or Gaming: at least 5 version, during December until present;- I did stress tests for RAM, SSD, CPU and GPU with hd santinel, aida64 extreme and fur mark; All PC components works fine, no issues; Do you have an
If I want to add contrast to my image using the tone curve without changing the overall exposure, where should my pivot point be? I'm guessing 128, 128? I did some testing, and it looks like the Contrast slider in the Basic panel has a midpoint of around 119, 119, which is the midpoint for the LAB color space. So which one should it be?
When you click the "Print Settings" button, you get a dialog box (strangely titled "Print" instead of "Print Settings").You can change a variety of settings here, and the bottom of the box, your choices are to "Cancel" or "Save". I assume if you click cancel, none of the changes you made take affect. And if you click "Save," I assume it's saving any changes you've made. But where are these changes being saved? It isn't saving to the Preset specified at the top of the box, below the Printer selection. I tested this: With the default preset selected, I changed the Layout > Pages per Sheet from one page to two.In the "Presets" pop up, I selected "Save current settings as a preset," and named it "Two pages per sheet."With the "Two pages per sheet." preset selected, I changed Layout > Pages per Sheet from two pages to four.I clicked the "Save" button. When I reopened the print settings dialog and selected the "Two pages per sheet." preset, it was stil
I was editing photos in Lightroom Classic 11.0. The image files were not in my catalog--when I imported the images into my catalog I did not move the files. I selected 8 images (.NEF) and then right-clicked Edit > Edit in Adobe Photoshop 2022. Lightroom hung at that point. I retried that two more times. I closed and re-opened Photoshop and tried once more to edit the images, but again Photoshop did not open. I rebooted my computer. Then, when I tried to edit one image, Lightroom said the image was missing. I checked the contents of the folder that contained the images and indeed that file was missing along with four or five other files, some of which I had never attempted to edit in Photoshop. The .xmp files remained on the hard drive. The .NEF files are not in my recycle bin. I tried searching my hard drive but the missing files are not there. I tried using EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to find them on my hard dr
can anyone help me understand why this is happening? my photos will suddenly turn into this weird grainy mess if i try to click on the next photo or go back to one i was previously working on. im using lightroom classic and this seems to happen at random, not any one particular photo triggers this.
Since the recent catalog update to 13.3 I noticed wierd things happening to my catalog files.Initially 277 GB my Smart Previews file is gone. I sury did not delete it.Initially 343 GB my Standard Preview file is down to 16,7 GB!Here is the same problem https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/upgrading-catalog-with-13-3-loses-previews/m-p/14659320The suggestion there is to build a new catalog. My problem is that LR just wont do it. Its stuck at 75 from 500K files. This is how it looks like. Nothing regarding storage or my macmini m1 was changed except the Lightroom Update. The most basic things do not work anymore and I lost hours of computing time because of this!
I don’t know if this is a bug or a partially-implemented feature, but I have noticed that the Effect Level setting of Nikon Picture Controls is not reflected in Lightroom Classic’s RAW processing defaults. Other Picture Control settings *are* reflected in RAW processing defaults. Just upgraded my laptop to a 2023 M3 Macbook Pro. Migrated over from my 2017 Macbook Pro and running into pinwheel issues far too often when working in Lightroom that I wasn't with my older machine. I've optimized the catalog and updated Lightroom to current version which is currently 13.4. Anyone have any ideas about how I can fix these pinwheel issues when editing? Doesn't always happen but when it does can last up to 10 seconds. Really slowing down the editing process. Any advice would be much appreciated!
I used to love the old black and white punch filter on Lightroom 6 or earlier, and it doesn't seem to hit the same in Lightroom Classic. But now I can't access Lightroom 6 either to try and re-create it. Can someone attach the old Lightroom 6 punch filter so that I can import it into Lightroom Classic?
Hello, I upgraded Lightroom Classic desktop for Windows to 13.4 and can't find Soft Proofing box? It should be in the left bottom corner in Develop mode but it seems to be missing. It is not mentioned in the latest relese notes. Any ideas what happend? Thanks
Since the 13.3 update and up to the current, Loupedeck is no longer working proper. The SDK apparently changed, and now the buttons and wheels on my 300 USD controller don't do what they are supposed to.. E.g. SHADOWS now controls FILL LIGHT HIGHLIGHTS now controls RECOVERY WHITES now controls BRIGHTNESS LUM RED controls the SCROLL BAR CONTROL DIAL toggles CROP ON It becomes unworkable... Issue: When you choose to export 32 bit HDR files, the generated file does not always contain HDR information.Lightroom Classic Version Number: 13.4OS Version Number: Windows 10Steps to reproduce:1. Merge several exposures to one HDR .dng file in Lightroom Classic2. Do not develop the HDR file. In particular, do not activate the HDR option in development mode.3. Export the HDR file as 32 bit HDR TIFF file (other file types not tested, but probably same result) - see screenshotExpected result: The generated file contains the HDR information as in the original .dng file, as chosen in the export dialog.Actual result: The generated file just contains SDR information - to prove this, re-import it to Lightroom Classic, then check it visually, and with the histogram in HDR mode.I use HDR TIFF files for stitching of HDR panoramics in an external tool. Then I do the tone mapping and development to create the final SDR image.

Hello, I have made some modifications to some Lightroom files but the old version appears and not the modified one.If I right-click "show in explorer" the modified file appears but it does not read well in Lightroom where the old version of the file appears.version de lightroom 13.3.1 Camera Raw 16.3.1 Thanks
When I import an image into lrC and apply a preset the image gets slightly distorted. It looks like the edges are slightly "pushed back". I recently changed to a canon r8 and now i'm shooting in canon raw 3 (cr3) instead of cr2. Never had this issue before. The presets were created when I still shot in cr2. Maybe someone could help me. I'm currently on V 13.3.1. on windows.
My Lightroom Classic (11.5) does not show the edit pins for my gradient tools. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?
I updated to LR v13.4 this morning, and it has become incredibly slow. I'm on a MacBook Air M2, and it makes no difference whether graphics accelerations are turned on or off. Does anyone else experience problems?
I moved some photos around and want to relink them to a collection. (I store my images on an external hard drive, and as needs have changed, have had to upgrade to larger hard drives and moved my images there.) Typically I never have a problem relinking an image. But I am getting the error message that is the subject line of this posting. What is this due to and how can it be corrected? Thanks.
I am using the latest version LRC 13.4 and Camera Raw 16.4 on a Windows 11 based laptop, with an external monitor. In Develop mode, I have set up the external monitor as Secondary Display. I could change the contents of Loupe Info on the primary display, or update the Loupe Info 1/2 Overlay. However, I found nowhere to apply changes to Loupe Info on the Secondary Display. Can tell me how to toggle on/off, and apply/change the contents of the Loupe Info on Secondary Display ?
We bought a new Win11 Pro PC in December with dedicated Nvme drives for the OS (1TB) and LRc (2TB), 8TB ssd's for raw image file storage, high-end GPU, 64 GB of fast RAM and fast Intel processor (see attached speccy). Running LRc release 13.2.Our primary LRc catalog is ~500k images but LRc behaves similarly bad with smaller catalogs (~20k images). It intermittently (most of the time) bogs down and sometimes blue screens. The lags (which can last from 15 seconds to 2 minutes) occur both in Library and Develop modules at seemingly random times. It is nearly always slow in retrieving new previews. This PC is dedicated to LRc and has very little other software on it, other than DXO and Topaz. Using Win Defender anti-virus only, but behaves same when disconnect from internet and turn off wifi and blue tooth. Nothing is pegged when I monitor via Task Manager or Performance Monitor tools. We have tried deleting and rebuilding all previews. I've checked drives health and temperatures - all
I had to revert back to my Lightroom 5 but the latest version I have is 5.2. I need 5.7 for it to be compatible with my D810. Can someone help me?
Is there a way I can extract a list from LrC or from my lightroom.adobe.com showing the names of each my shared collections (created in LrC) together with their public urls - for all my shared collections. Has anyone found a way to do this? I am using MacOS for my LrC work but this is a generic OS question.
Updated to 13.4 on a windows 11 PC, now I can not import ANY files including CR2, CR#, Tiff, JPEG, in the import module. [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
I'm using a 2016 Macbook Pro with LR 5.71 and since LR5 I have had the same problem with darks, blacks and shadows, showing as blue in the develop module. I use a Canon and shoot in RAW, so I'm trying to edit DNG files. How can I fix this? other threads say goto preferences and performance then turn off the GPU but my screen does not have a performance tab. What should I try nextDNG of the moon?
