# LrC 15.1 / Camera Raw 18.1 / Win11 #Hello,I have been having a problem with LR Classic for quite some time. Preview images are not displayed automatically in the Library module. They only appear as previews when I click on them specifically; otherwise, the fields remain gray. Now I have a new, powerful computer, but the problem persists. All other tricks (such as deleting Previews.lrdata and root-pixels) have not helped. The preview only appears when you click on the corresponding image, and then it appears about 2 to 3 seconds after loading. Is there anything else I could try? Are there any known performance limits for image folders or image quantities? I would be very grateful for any suggestions.Dirk 

Hello   Since I update to LrC 15.x (from 14), I experience regularly lags and slowdowns in Development module, especially when changing images. It's not systematic, but it is frequent, when a click on a pucture in the film strip  at the bottom (or when I use the arrows on keyboard), the picture does not update (the former picture is always displayed but the next one is correctly selected in the film strip). It takes seconds (3 to 5!) each time to update the picture. And during this time, I cannot do anything, except ("fun" fact) select another picture in the film strip below the picture, I can do that many times, the film strip is always reacting, but the image displayed won't be updated.  And somtimes it's instantaneous, without any lags.    I did not change anything in my configuration (computer nor LrC), all my photos have previews, dynamic previews , and 1:1 previews automatically generated during importation (with exactly the same setting si

I wanted to import files on my Desktop into Lightroom Classic. This worked perfectly for my photo files. However, the PDF and Doc files in the Desktop folder disappeared. Any idea where they went or how to recover them? Thanks.

Echoing a suggestion I see often in this forum: the ability to zoom in on an image while cropping it IN LIGHTROOM would be a game-changer. I work with fairly large raw files in large batches, and I am unable to straighten or crop images as precisely as I want without opening 200-some files individually in Photoshop which is basically impossible.

I can not get photos to import from iphone to lightroom classic. They appear on the import window completely jumbled (not by date) and then when I finally go through and pick the images I want to import they do not import, nothing happens. 

I just opened a catalog with 11 folders in it. One of the folders (the one I need of course) has lost all edits. All crops, sliders, and curves set to defaults. All the images in the other folders have their edits intact. I think something got borked when LR updated the catalog for the last update, because things were fine before that. But it won't open a Time Machine backup without "upgrading" the catalog. So backups aren't helping me out here. I'm on Sonoma 14.8, LR 15.1 if any of that is relevant here.  

 Whenever I try to import photos from my sd card, this message always pops up. Does anyone know what this means and how do I fix it?

Hallo!Seit dem Update von LrC auf Version 15 habe ich ein Export Problem: Während in vorherigen Versionen der Export 2-3 Sekunden/Bild gedauert hat sind es jetzt ca. 20 Sekunden/Bild.Dabei werden fertig bearbeitere RAW's in jpg's mit HD-Auflösung exportiert und in den Katalog aufgenommen.Update auf 15.1 hat nichts gebracht. Ich habe Katalog und Daten auf einer externen Platte mit USB4 und 2TB, freier Speicher auf der Platte sind ca. 1TB. ADOBE LR classic has a serious bug resulting in errorous files that creates ghostwriting on your device. Especially files sent over with whatsapp (pictures taken by friends) or scanned pictures may cause this problem in the ADOBE LR picture libraries.   When you import pictures from others e.g. sent via Whatsapp, or scanned pictures made by a scanner, these may result in pictures without an 'original date and time' stored in the LR classic file library. Adobe LR classic itself cannot even handle these wrongly imported files because LR cannot make proper XMP files with these picture files which are imported with the by LR classic itself corrupted EXIF/IPTC data imported.   On top of that the fast previews processing will fail and 'ghost copies' will start to be produced on your laptop making the device being busy all the time and slowing it down tediously.   In short:  This bug results is a slow working LR classic app that acts like a dog trying to bite in its own ta

I was experimenting and created a new Collection. I dragged "ALL PHOTOS" (over 100k) to the collection and turned on SYNC with cloud.  It started to sync.  Seeing it wouild take forever I deleted the collection from the catalog..  There is no collection remaing YET sync continues.  I NEED it to STOP trying to sync.  I successfully use the feature quite often so I don't think it is a set up issue. Current MAC and Adobe products.

Hello everybody, I tried to bring my photo to look like the edit AI did. but something is missing, his I find still more appealing.Let alone that he changed the photo a bit, I am at the moment just wanting to match it's edit. Can anyone tell me what I am missing? AI edit is the first image and then mine AIMine

I am trying to import images from another computer into my main system cataloque, something I have done many times before.  I first exported a cataloque from the other system to an external drive.  However I am unable to import this as the 'import from another cataloque' function simply starts the beachball spinning for a minute or so before it stops and the normal cursor reappears.  My main system cataloque does not appear to be corrupted.  Any help is very much appreciated.

Can´t open Lightroom Classic 15.1 in a Windows 11 computer.Already tryied Uninstall and Install again.Laso tryied older versions.It opens in bacground.

I'm trying to use the Topaz AI plug-in and after researching I've failed to find an answer that works for me. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, deleting the .plist files, turning off antivirus/firewall, and giving it full disc access (this last one stumps me because it doesn't show up in the list to even allow this). I'm stuck and have about 100 images from a wedding that really, really need the sharpening and RAW denoise features of Topaz. I literally don't know what else to do. I've troubleshot to the best of my abilities.. Any other help would be great .... 

LRC app keeps crashing when trying to import images from SD card. I have tried moving images to my NAS and it still crashes whenever I try to import.

I have always shot RAW to my CF card and JPG to my SD card. When I am tethering with LRC, in the past I have just switched the playback options depending on whether I wanted the tethering to be RAW or JPG. However, that is now not working.  I was trying to set up Smart Shooter 5 to work with my LRC but I have reversed that as it has messed everything up in my LRC. I know this is a casualty of that but don't know how to fix it.

Hi, I am trying to delete a blank lightroom Classic catalog from my computer but it will not let me move it to the trash can. I do not see that anthing is "locked".  I located the catalog using the catalog settings and then "show" the location on my computer. I did shutdown LrC before trying to delete the unwanted blank catalog, but no luck. I am not really sure what to do and can't find anyting i the forum or YouTube discussing this. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. 

Upon FIRST checking for complaints about the Tahoe update,I installed the update. First use of LrC and every image is grey,except the last one I looked at. It is pretty fuzzy tho at about 1/16 resolution. I ought to have saved the catalog, but I have one from two days ago, soa bit of trouble but not too bad.  (NB: the attachment is a PNG file and ought to render, but I see an error.)

I bought a new laptop, installed Lightroom Classic and used it to edit about 200 pictures while traveling on vacation two weeks ago.  I returned home, and when I started it up, I see all my edited pictures but any time I click on a picture it says "An unknown error occured"  and my entire editing panel is grayed out.I have resynched my folders, uninstalled and reinstalled the application, optimized my catalog and nothing changes.   This is only an issue for the pictures I edited while on vacation.  It is working fine for new pictures I've imported since then.   Help!!!

Helicon had a recent update so I initially thought it was the source of the issue, however, the saved images on my computer look normal. The photos on lightroom are showing up with a green tint overlay. The problem is resolved by hitting the reset button in develop mode but of course this isnt ideal in the long scheme of things. What could be causing this? 

If you don't get an automated report, then you ought to.   I restarted LRc and am about to try it again. === time passes === Nope. It fails again. Please provide a link so I can upload the .NEF, .XMP and ACR (?!) files, along with a snapshot of the export settings. It is possible that it is confused because there is only one file selected and nevertheless it is trying to export 2 files.   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

Ich wollte, dass ich meine Bilder aufm PC aus LrC mit Lr auf meinem iPad "synchroonisieren". Glaub Katalog nennt sich das. Das hat dann auch irgendwie funktioniert. Ich hatte dann die Bilder aufm iPad. Habe aufm PC ein Bild bearbeitet, die Änderung hats auch aufm iPad übernommen. Habe dann aufm iPad etwas geändert, am PC hat das dann aber etwas zu lange gedauert (ich war ungeduldig), habe LrC geschlossen und wieder neu gestartet und seit dem bleibt LrC beim starten bei "Voreinstellungen werden geladen..." hängen. Wenn ich dann links-klicke stürtzt LrC ab.Habe es schon mehrmals neu installiert, auch alte Versionen versucht. Bringt alles nichts. Brauche dringen hilfe.
