Since upgrading to LR 15 and now 15.1, the develop module is very slow. Switching pictures or applying settings can freeze the interface for many seconds, and my CPU remains pinned for a long time after switching images. I've tried many of the suggestions that I found in other similar posts regarding prior versions of LR Classic, but nothing is really helping now. No matter what settings I use for Graphics Acceleration (and even though it says it's fully accelerated), it's using mostly CPU and almost no GPU. Has anyone else encountered this in 15.1 and found any resolution? Here's my System Info as reported by Lightroom: Lightroom Classic version: 15.1 [ 202512101606-1bb801a8 ]License: Creative CloudLanguage setting: enOperating system: Windows 10 - Business EditionVersion: 10.0.19045Application architecture: x64System architecture: x64Logical processor count: 8Processor speed: 4.2GHzSqLite Version: 3.36.0Adobe GSDK Version: 1.4.0.171 CPU Utilisation
Happy New Year everyone. So i dont know if super resolution is working properly as i click on the box, the progress bar appears and completes but the pixel count and file seem to remain unaltered . I understood [ a bit like de-noise used to do] a separate DNG file was created but that isn't happening. Advice needed please.
After importing images into a new catalog, they are not showing up visibly. I have to shut LR down, then reopen in order to see the images I just imported. This has never happened before. I use Lightroom Classic on MacOS Tahoe 26.1. It only began after I updated the latest version of Lightroom Classic 15.0.1 The images are all there, but it's not very productive to have to shut down, then restart the program. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Any solutions?
Running Lightroom Classic on Windows 11. I have not had any issues previously with this setup previously. The issue only appears to happen on images taken earlier than 2025. I have been running the same hardware, cameras etc for the last couple of years. I'm not sure if this is related to a recent Lightroom update. I haven't tried to edit any photos from earlier than 2025 for a number of months. When trying to open files in the Develop module, when hovering the mouse over the 3 dots above each thumbnail it shows "Loading". Clicking on the image does not open the file into the module. My files are all saved as Original + Smart Preview. I assume it is the Smart Preview that I can "open" in the Library module. If I right click on the image and "Go to file in library", the file is in the expected folder. If I "Show in Explorer", the file and associated XMP are in the expected location. I can then open the
My MS Surface Pro won't import MP4 files taken with a Sony A6600. What's worse, any folder containing MP4 files will prevent ALL photos from importing. If I pick a folder without any MP4 files - all good. But any folder containing an MP4 file locks up the entire folder. However, on my Dell XPS 9500 - Everything works - all MP4s import as expected - no issues. The surface runs an ARM processor, which Adobe says isn't supported yet, but it notes that the Intel versions should work. Is there any way to filter the import so it will not try and import MP4s - I will have to separate videos into a separate folder in the meantime. I want to create a 16" wide by 20" high print. I have done this successfully in the print module and used print to file . Everything looks ok but the picture looks paler/less vibrant. So I went to the usual export process in the library module. . The aspect ratio is set at 4x5 but lightroom will not export at 16"x20" . It will keep 16" but then changes the other dimension to 12.5" . When exported if I try changing it to 20" high the horizontal dimension moves to 25". I'm not sure what's going on . How can I export correctly at 16@ x 20" ?
I have the lastest LR classic 15.1 and whenever the PC awake from screen timeout, the LR and the whole system would freeze, causes PC automatically restart with the message of TDR error or DPC watchdog violation. If I stops the GPU acceleration options in Preference>>Performance than everything is fine.
I have some 850 images to import to LRC 14.0.1, and many among them are heavily underexposed. (no fault of the photographer as they are of a speaker and their slides in a room with house lights dimmed). I would like to apply the "Auto" radio button as in "Develop", but when calling the Apply During Import dropdown, I get a huge range of choices that does NOT include the simple "Auto" which is offered in "Develop". Can anyone out there please suggest a fix for a relative novice? (Clearly we will not be keeping all 850)Anthony
I have spent that last few days trying to view full sized photos stored in the Lightroom cloud vs just Smart Previews as I have exceeded my 20GB limit. I'm just a photography enthusiast so really don't need more than this. There doesn't appear to be any way to do this. I can view the Smart Previews, but trying to see the Non-Smart Previews seems impossible. I have contacted Adobe Support directly about this and have case ADB-43196329-Y5W0 open. Two support people tried to assist. The first seemed to have dropped the chat when it became too difficult and the other did a remote support screen share session which I ended as they weren't addressing the question but started to look in various folders and looked like they were just guessing at an answer. The question seems fairly straight forward. How do I filter for non-Smart Preview photos in the Adobe cloud so that I can delete them? It would seem this filter has been removed to drive customers to higher tier cloud pl
I have been unable to import any photos to lightroom classic and would like to know if anyone has resolved a similar problem? I can get all the way through the import box, click 'import' and then it looks like my files are importing but the screen just displays 'importing...' for hours without actually bringing any photos into lightroom classic. I have both my MacBook Pro and Lightroom Classic updated to the latest software and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom. All of my permissions for lightroom classic are set to full drive access for my machine and hard drives. I'm a bit lost as to what to do next and have followed all the troubleshooting advice and conversed with pros currently working in lightroom classic without any progress. I would really appriciate any help resolving this issue. The software is succesfully importing large JPEG files without any issues but gets stuck importing RAW files.
I have created a number of custom print templates for specific projects, most of which were set up for my Canon Pro-1000 printer. When that printer died, I replaced with a Pro-1100. Somewhere along the way I deleted the Pro-1000 printer from my system (Windows 11). Now, none of the custom Print Templates or Saved Prints are working. They have all reverted to 8-1/2 x 11 pages (most were A3+), the cells are crushed together randomly, and the printer is set to a generic Brother printer attached to my system rather than the Pro-1100 that is also attached. Setting the printer to the Pro-1100 and changing the paper size doesn't solve the problem or restore the correct Template settings. I cannot reinstall the Pro-1000 as it is no longer available, and even if I could it doesn't seem like that would restore my print templates to what they were. I may be able to dig up an old Lightroom catalog backup that has the working Templates, but restoring that wo
Lightroom Classic V15.1 Windows 11 Pro System Info file attached Lightroom is very slow in many operations. I have seen other posts with the same complaint, but not the specific situation I am seeing. Any change to a photo flag (e.g., X, U, P) or a photo rating takes 5-7 seconds to complete. It takes approximately the same amount of time whether the command affects one photo or a dozen. But changing a Title or Keywords seems to take place without undue delay. Advancing to another photo seems close to normal in Grid or Loupe view. However going from Grid View to Loupe view or the Develop Module takes multiple seconds. From Develop back to Grid is slow, but from Loupe to Grid seems normal. Also, just opening a menu from the menu bar takes 2-5 seconds. I have rebooted my computer, and tried this in 3 different catalogs with the same results. The slowness of these operations makes LrC unusable.
I have Lightroom Classic running on a Windows 10 PC. Whenever I would close Lightroom, I would back up the catalog. Yesterday I got an error doing this and closed the software. When this has happened in the past, I was able to open a catalog I had backed up a few days earlier. I can no longer do this. When I try to open any catalog, I get a response that it needs to be repaired. The repair process never stops (literally for hours), and I am forced to shut down the app. I have tried all remedies that I can find online; I have no unusual file extensions that can be deleted, and I have suffiecient disk space and all necessary permissions. My primary backup location is my C: drive. but I cannot open any catalogs saved on other drives. My LRC is now unusable. Can anyone help? Paul Lebras

I just purchased a new computer and installed LR Classic but switching from one photo to the next in the develop module is incredibly slow. I've optimized the catalog; Purged the cache and set the cach settings to a 100GB Maxium Size; from the NVIDIA App I optimized for Adobe Lightroom Classic; I've enabled Smart Previews; LR Catalog resides on the SSD; but it is so slow going from one photo to the next. I feel like I have wasted nearly $2K on this new computer: HP OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop AMD Ryzen 7 8700F 2024 32GB DDR5 Memory NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 WINDFORCE OC SFF 12G Graphics Card, 12GB 192-bit GDDR7, PCIe 5.0 Any suggestions? Many thanks for your assistance.
Hi! Sometimes if I print directly from Lightroom I get the Filter error. I have a canon pro-10s but if I use its native app it always works. And from the canon assistance they told me that it's an Adobe problem in fact only from lightroom sometimes it gives me problems. How can I solve it? I have the updated operating system of both the mac and the printer Thanks a lot
The second last update I can't backup catalog saying I don't have enough storage which is strange moments before there was enough then update not enough, makes no sense. It looks like you are just throwing something out there. Then the last update now I can't open Lrc it is useless now. I would wonder Adobe if you have a saboteur(s) because I in the last six months or so have more and more issues. What is really going on? I am a end user not a computer wisard as I am sure there is many like me. If we have to start messing about to keep LrC working that is on you Adobe it's your program. 1- 15.1.0.5 2- Winows 11 3- Try to open last update, update prior when trying to backup catalog it won't. 4- I exspect it to open and beable to backup

I recently upgraded from my old iMac desktop to a new McMini and in the process did not look where I had kept my LR6 catalog before I tranferred my data to my new system. Now I am not able to even open the old LR6 on my old desktop or my new desktop. How do I find out where I stored it and will it come back once I upgrade probably to LRClassic subscription and the new Photshop Elements 3year upgrade? I try to open LR but al it does is flash and I am not able to find my files (may have stored them on my external hard drive, but all I can find there is LR5 files, and not LR6 which is the latest version I had.) Any helpful tips would be great!
I am using an Intel Core i7 IdeaPad - 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13620H (2.40 GHz) , with Intel (R) UHD Graphics card 128MB, 16G Ram 5200 MTs, Windows 11 (Home), installed Feb 25. I've just updated the graphics. Everything possible is updated on my device. I've gone in to use the "get rid of distractions - people", feature, in my Lightroom Classic on my laptop. I had tried before and through further mucking around was advised to download AMD drivers. Except, I have an Intel platform. I don't know how about going about changing everything or indeed, if that is a possibility. Then I contacted Adobe and they advised updating the driver, which I have just done. Still fails to recognise, let alone get rid of the distracting people in my photo. I do not know how to proceed. There is no before and after to show as the programme does not even pick up the people in the photo, let alone get rid of them. Does anyone using Windows 11 (Home) have any suggestio
Hi! I would be grateful, if someone knows this problem and could offer a solution:I recetnly opened LrC which I have not been using for approx. 3 months. I wanted to add a folder and import new photos. The app would do: nothing. It does'nt crash but it just stays idle. No9 progress bar of any operations is shown.I tried to optimize the catalog: this would take forever (over night (!)) and would not finish. Canceling the optimization would also result that it would not stop this. It seems to hang up. I have to force LrC to stop vie Task manager. Then I tried to delete all previews: same thing, nothing happens. The catalog size is approx. 800 MB large. 3 Months ago, I could edit and manage my photos flawlessly with LRC. But after a few months of not using, it just would not work anymore.LrC catalog and all fotos are on fast external SSDs with plenty of free space.Things I have done to improve performance:I have updated LrC and all other Adobe products to their lates versionI ch
Recently, when I try to edit an image from LR in PS, it can take up to 15 minutes from the time I open LR before I'm able to have the file open in PS. This is a regular occurence. What's happening and why is it taking so long to get going? Any suggestions? Mac OS 12.7.6 LR Classic 13.5.1 PS 25.12.2
