Hi guys, I'm just looking for a slider/button/setting to adjust the opacity while using the crop tool in LR (classic). As it's too much time consuming to display every ready cropped image on a second monitor while working through thousands of images, I want to avoid it. Helpful would be only to stay on the main display and let the cropped out parts of the image more faded out.So now my short question if there is any tool or setting to reduce the visibility of the imageparts outside the crop frame (maybe darken them more etc...)? Am I overlooking s.th. or isn't there no way?Thanks for your suggestions and ideas.

Lightroom Classic 15.6 on Windows 11 (26H2) took 30–56 seconds to start, showed "Not responding" in the title bar during startup, and you could watch the window being rebuilt after minimizing and restoring it. Strangely, if I started Lightroom immediately after Windows booted, it was fast and stayed fast for the whole session.Cause: Avast's "Do Not Disturb Mode". It appears to monitor every program started after Avast's user interface has loaded, including every window Lightroom creates. A Lightroom started before Avast's interface loads is not affected, which explains the "fast right after boot" pattern.Fix: Avast > Menu > Settings > Do Not Disturb Mode > switch it off. Result: catalog open in 12–14 seconds instead of 30–56, also when started late, and no more slow redraws. I am unable to sync any videos from downloads to the computer to access them in Lightroom. This began after I tried to sync videos from my phone to the cloud so I could access them in LR. This all seems to unnecessarily complicated. Can you help please? I’m using Windows 11 with LR v13-3

Lightroom Classic 15.6 Syncing is hanging for me. I started by deleting all my existing cloud data so that everything would be fresh today and then tried to sync a bunch of collections. Some already have smart previews, some don't. There are about 2500 images. Most of the images have synced but now I am down to the last 150, syncing seems to stop or hang. It now does anything between 2 and 4 each time I start lightroom, but no more. I have to close and restart for sync to continue. Is there a fix for this? Is it a known issue?

I want to opem this as a bug but unlike posting a question when I am prompted to click continue to provide more details I get a blank page independent of what browser I am using. Here is my bug discrption. Can anyone help me create this as a bug? Using latest version of Lightroom Classic on Mac running macOS Tahoe Version 26.6.2. The profile browser (in grid mode) displays only a subset of the profiles that are part of the profile. If I expand the width of the browser I can get to a point where all profiles of a profile group are displayed but the view is messed up. Generally, it will show 3 thumbnails in a row with the last one only partially visible. If I chose this third thumbnail the row is then moved all the way to the righty so much that I can no longer see many of the profile names. I did a reset preferences of LR but the problem persists.

Computer: Mac Version TahaoeLightroom Classic Version:15.5.1 I have recently observed a significant number of synchronisation errors when attempting to share my images with Lightroom (cloud). Many of my images become stuck during the synchronisation process. I have already tried re-builidng sync data to no avail. Additionally, for images where I have utilised AI enhancements, I need to apply updates. However, when I press Command+Option+U to implement the updates, I receive an error message stating, "Failed to apply adjustments to the following photos. This is extremely frustrating, as I receive an incomplete copy of my catalogue when I am travelling and using Lightroom Cloud. Does anyone know what could be cuasing this or what i should look into as a likely suspect? Thanks in advance.

Adobe Lightroom 15.4.1 is crashing repeatedly during the culling process and causing my  pc computer to run terrible slow.  I had to remove it and roll back to a previous version of LRC

I’ve decided to move from Windows to a MacBook Pro. Hello, Can somebody help me with this. In the beginning, with several thousand photos, I entered keywords without commas, separating the keywords with spaces. In preferences - interface were set to "separate keywords with comma." Now, when exporting to platforms like SmugMug, these photos appear with a bunch of keywords that aren't separated from one another. Is there a way to fix this for multiple photos at once? I tried changing in preference - interface to "separate keywords with space," but that didn't work for existing photos; for new ones, it separates the keywords with commas. I tried adding new keywords to multiple photos, but it separated the newly added ones with a comma, whereas the previous keywords were not.Many thanks, Robert

I think this would be an enormous help for people who work with stock photo agencies. From what I read, most photographers already use this feature, but through third-party software. I should add that, unfortunately, I also use external software to caption my editorial photos. Why should I, when it would be no problem for you to integrate it?

Hi, I am using Lightroom to stamp my photos. I am a event photographer and since now I 've been using other software to stamp my pics but I want to turn in lightroom. The problem I have is that it does not support (as far as I have searched and found) multiple watermarks. I need one watermark for my logo and one for the event organiser I photoshoot. So we have two png images. What I did for the first time is I exported the images with my logo and then load them again and export them with the event organiser's logo. I don't really like the proccess. How can I export in just one time both logos?cheers..!

On my Mac (27.01) on Friday 10/7/2026, Lightroom Classic updated to version 15.6.  Prior to the update, my folders looked like this in the Library module:After the update, they looked like this:Now only images from the last import are accessible (import was completed several days before the update).  All other folders show the number of images, but will not display any image thumbnails or previews.  How can I solve this?  For additional info, this is a screenprint of the actual folder structure on disk: 

Is Adobe AI Denoise fully optimized for GoPro MISSION 1 PRO 50 MP GPR RAW files?I've been comparing 12 MP and 50 MP RAW files from the new GoPro MISSION 1 PRO.Without AI Denoise, the 50 MP RAW files look very good and preserve more detail and color than the 12 MP files.However, after applying Enhance > Denoise, the 50 MP files frequently develop visible artifacts, while the 12 MP RAW files remain clean and natural.Other users have reported similar behavior.Is this a known limitation of the current AI Denoise model with these new GPR files, or could this indicate a bug?Are there any plans to optimize AI Denoise for GoPro MISSION 1 PRO 50 MP RAW files in a future Camera Raw update?

So I don’t use lightroom for anything that graphics intensive. It’s main purpose as far as I am concerned is to embed keywords into the files. But When I tried exporting an image, it turned my desktop black. I am sure this is probably indicative of a much bigger problem because who cares about lack of wallpaper on a desktop. Anyway, I googled that it was probably something to do with incompatibility with drivers or not having the latest version of lightroom. [BTW, I turned off auto updates because the updates always ruin everything and make everything unusable with all this AI bloatware… but I digress]. I am not sure what is causing the problem you see below. It only happens when I am tethered to LRC and scanning film negatives. I am using a Canon EOS R5 and the 100mm R macro lens. I have been using the same setup for three years and until a couple of months ago I never had an issue. Thankfully I was away for the summer and hoped that by purchasing a new Tether Tools cable while away the problem would disappear on my return… it didn’t. I removed the lens, cleaned the lens & camera connections, used a different battery, removed the memory card, tried another lens and no change.  The camera software is up to date.The flashing symbols only appear in tether mode and not while shooting nor does it leave an imprint on the negative scan or image. I could ignore it, but I am almost sure there must be an explanation for it. The camera has never been used for anything other than scanning and has never been outside so it can’t be overuse.edit: I have a Mac Studio desktop and MAC OS Tahoe 26.

I have used Lightroom Classic for nearly 20 years and have a large catalog (about 70,000 images).  As you would expect, I’ve also spent countless hours organizing the photos, editing and assigning keywords.A few months ago, I suddenly began to experience a new problem.  Suddenly, the “Exif and IPTC” fields on the right side of my screen were all blank (no keywords visible, no location info, no copyright info, etc.).  The small “spinning wheel” could be seen but it never stopped spinning.I searched these forums extensively and also many other sites.  There were recommendations that included resetting preferences, deleting the metadata helper file, and more.  Ultimately, nothing has fixed the problem.I note that deleting the metadata helper.db file does help for a short period.  In order words, if I delete it and then start Lightroom Classic, the IPTC and EXIF data reappears, however, after anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, it disappears again and the spinning wheel returns.In addition, eve

I have just spent over two hours trying to view & edit some pictures in LrC but keep getting the message "Lightroom not responding" & have to close it down & try again. About 30+ times so far. First I couldn't even get it to show the folder I wanted then next time I got as far as viewing the folder but was unable to select a picture before it stopped responding, next I got the piocture but couldn't move in to Develop etc, etc.This is not the first time this has happened, which is why I haven't edited anything  since before Christmas as it is so annoying. I use a Mac M5 Max with mac OS Tahoe 26.6 - lighroom cc keeps crashing within about 5-10 seconds of launching the application. What should i do? I have granted full disk access and tried disabling the graphics processor already.

So continuing the saga of importing from a cfExpress type b Card raw files from my z9. It takes about 9 hours to import roughly 4k files. I am using a reader and very fast cards for read and write speeds. Some of the events I shoot leave me with more than 10k images to import so just moving into a folder on my harddrive and then imporing is not practical as I end of with files with the same name spread over multiple cards...LR renames the file when writing to prevent this from overwriting existing images.  This slowness has persisted for several years now as I h ave been reading about this issue for quite a while. Adobe you can do better..please fix this.
