Hi, I'm trying to create an action in Photoshop. For this, I need to select the layer below the currently selected layer. The shortcut for this is Option + [. My problem is that my MacBook keyboard doesn't have a [ key. I can type [ by pressing Option + 9, but that means I can't use the Option + [ shortcut in Photoshop, because that would require pressing Option + Option + 9, which isn't possible. I've tried changing the Photoshop shortcut from Option + [ to something else, but I can't find where to do this. Since I'm creating an action, I also can't manually click the desired layer, because that would record the layer name into the action, which makes it unusable in other files. Does anyone know how to change the Option + [ shortcut in Photoshop so I can proceed with creating my action? Thank you!"

Windows 11 laptop, always using the latest version of Photoshop.Almost all of my Photoshop work involves birds.  For the workflow, I create high-quality (12) jpgs and open them in the Windows “Photos” App before deciding on the final version.  I'm very obsessive about the final product.  As an example, a few weeks ago, while in Photoshop, I selected the subject, decreased brightness by 45 and exported a high-quality (12) jpg.  I then reverted the change, decreased by 46 and exported another jpg.  I repeated this in increments of 1, all the way up to 70.  I named the files intuitively and went with the -63 version. I’ve done similar things with additional saturation applied to the subject only, as well as additional contrast applied to the inverse of the subject and to the sky. There has to be a way to save time by automating this that will not involve spending as much time tweaking the automation script as I would have spent by saving down t

Hello one and all,Ok here goes. I have 4 different versions of Photoshop on my pc. See image attached.I have tried many time to uninstall one by one, keeping the latest version being 23.4.1, however, none of these previous versions disappear/uninstall. So I went to my WinDoctor, he said, it's an Adobe thing, I went to my AdobeDoctor, he said, it's a Microsoft thing, and so on and around and around we all went. I got dizzy, sat down and reliased, the pros know nuthin. So here we are ... back to the community we're we all began.May I have an answer from someone on how to fix/uninstall/make disapear Photoshop old versions pleeeeease? 

I have been using the AI image generator in Photoshop. I'm new to AI, but I have been using Photoshop for 25+ years. I am having difficulty generating an image where parts of what I have described is truncated. The images are gorgeous, but I can't use them if part of the subject is cut off.  I have shown an image below where the paws of the cat I described is cut off. Is there a trick to use in your prompts to keep the image from being truncated? 26.6.1 Photoshop release Thank you.   

Photoshop 25.9.1, Windows 10.  After an update, my color pallette is now in a beige/sepia tone.  What should be white now shows as a mid-range cream beige.  When I go by the color code of ffffff I still get the beige look.  The other colors seem unaffected. I can't find a way to recalibrate the palette.  Thank you.

I tried all solutions on from the learn more button. There is enough spce but still getting that warnoing of not meeting requirements. .

Hallo zusammen, ich nutze die neuste Version von Photoshop (26.8.1) auf einem Mac Mini M4.OS: macOS 15.6 Ich nutze einen Loupedeck live mit Photoshop. Ich habe über die Loupdeck Software das PlugIn installiert - es wird mir sowohl in der Loupedeck Software als auch in der Creative Cloud als "installiert" angezeigt. Wenn ich aber Photoshop starte, wird das PlugIn nicht geladen und somit verbindet sich mein Loupedeck nicht mit Photoshop.Auch ist im Menü "Plugins" alles ausgegraut. Zusätzlich würde ich gerne auch noch weitere Plugins nutzen: Configurator Reloaded, Action Tool etc...Keines wird geladen. Ich habe Photoshop bereits deinstalliert und neu installiert (mehrfach). Leider ohne Erfolg. Was mir aufgefallen ist:Wenn ich Photoshop neu installiert habe und es das erste Mal starte, kann ich auf das Menü "Plugins" zugreifen.Sobald ich aber der erste Plugin installiert habe, nicht mehr. Kann mir jemand helfen? 

With the new update this feature stop working on my computer. Is there anyone with the same issue?

Is there a known accurate reference image file or files I can use to calibrate my monitor that anyone knows about? I just need to ballpark black, white, and color, and I can do it by eye.

Para finalizar os arquivos para impressão eu preciso separa as cores Pantone nos canais de Spot Color do Photoshop. Não estou conseguindo inserir a biblioteca de cores Pantone nas amostras da biblioteca de cores padrão do Photoshop, pois só estando nesta biblioteca é que ele consegue ler e adicionar cores no canal de Spot. Alguém sabe como faço pra adicionar as cores Pantone Connect nessa biblioteca padrão do Photoshop 2025 para Windows?

Hi,Really by pure curiosity if any one know why ? In Windows Explorer  the setting is [always ] for view is large icons for any pictures folders.  I had to put it in details view and I saw that only the .PSD file are view [indicated] as TYPE : Adobe Photoshop Image 25, not as .PSD file, like any other photoshop save file: like:.psb save file = TYPE : PSB FILE.tif save file = TYPE : TIFF FILE.jpg save file = TYPE : JPG Thanks 

Hello everyone,I want to create a script that resets the view rotation to 0. I tried using ActiveDocument.rotateCanvas() but it only adds the given amount to the current rotation.maybe there's a way to call "reset view" directly, or to read the canvas rotation angle then use that value in ActiveDocument.rotateCanvas() to cancel out the rotation?

Why is it that all of my Photoshop project files, which have been saved as .PSD, are showing as "Adobe Photoshop Image.26" as the filetype listed in the file properties? If I recall correctly, it didn't used to be like this, instead just showing .PSD as the filetype.Has this been a recent change to how the types are listed, or am I experiencing an issue of some sort that I should look into? This is impacting both new and existing projects.Again, they show this as the filetype: "Adobe Photoshop Image.26 (psd)"Any help would be appreciated!

I'm always working on multiple files, in the past when I opened files, let's say 1 to 10, the default file that it opena was the last one, in this case number 10, when finished and closed Photoshop went to next file, in this case number 9, then 8 an so. Since last year this is not happening and I can't find a solution, it randomly goes from number 10 then to 3, then 7 etc, etc.. It is quite annoying as the only fix I found is to click every single file tab in PS in order, so when I finish it goes to the next in order. But when you are working on 20-30 files at a time it becomes quite time consuming.

Hello, about the problem. I need to digitise 50x50cm carpet tiles to be able to lay (or tile) them together in a 3D program for room planning. To do this, they must be absolutely uniform in brightness. So not darker or lighter at the top or bottom left or right. You can't achieve this by scanning or photographing. Now I have thought about dividing the image into several grids and assigning the same brightness values and ideally colour values to each grid element. but i have not found a way to transfer an absolute brightness value or curve.   attached is a scanned and stitched carpet tile. It looks good at first.but if you tile several of them together, the picture is very uneven.   or do you have an idea? Thx reinhard    

Just updated Photoshop to 26.6.0If I copy and past a text layer, then edit the text. While it displays the correct font in the top drop down, it's not using that font. It's using 'Myriad Pro'. I have to type a few letters, highlight them, change it to the correct font, then I can continue editing in the intended font.I would expect it to work the same as editing an existing text layer.

I'm trying to make a script to increment Opacity and Flow. For the past year, or so, trying to stroke a path with the pen tool using the spot healing brush option just gives an error stating: "Could not use the *HEALING BRUSH* because the area to clone has not been defined..." I'm using the Spot Healing Brush, so I don't need to define an area. If I click, I get the default "no need to click, cuz it's the spot healing brush" error. Can this issue be fixed, please? Thank you. 

My eraser tool will not allow me to click and drag and consecutively erase a line. I'll click to erase what I want and it'll erase where my tool is placed, but when I hold and try to drag it, it will not erase. I have to keep clicking on my mouse in tiny incriments to erase anything...

Just bought a new Macbook Pro. Photoshop 25 will not open files from Dropbox. JPG gives this message: "because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete)." ARW files give this message:"Could not import the clipboard because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file" What's ging here? In the 2nd case, I did use the Open command. Tere's nothing in the clipboard as far as I know. 

I have been using the Contextual Task Bar for weeks and it was working. Today I get the following message: "The server is not responding. Please check internet..." My internet is working. Is this my computer or an Adobe problem? 

I have an AI file that has a glow and highlight built but uses different blending modes (screen, colour dodge, etc) and when I bring those elements over as a placed SO, none of those blending modes stick. How to keep blending modes?????
