Questions

I'm using version 25.12.1 and after the recommendations of another community member, the program still randomly resets itself.  It will either a.) reset the workspace, plugings, actions or b.) will reset the hotkeys.It's a random thing and happens at least once or twice a month.Any suggestions - I've uninstalled and reinstalled.  I've made sure that it's being run in Administrator mode.  I'm signed in to the Creative Cloud when I run it.  

Why Phosotop blocked me from using Generative AI and Generative Upscaling, I have 4000 credits left and every time I am receiving this message:

HI All, I've just updated photoshop to include the new Generative function (AI) and seem to have los the "remove background" option bar that used to appear below a picture. Anyone know how to get it back or how [cursing removed] do you do remove background now?   Cheers Nick

I’m having insane Photoshop issuesI’m running Windows 11 on a Dell 8660 precision, I have 128 GB of RAM using   Photoshop 27.4Never really had any problems with this machine But I’m having massive problems with PhotoshopTool, jumping, lately when I’m using a tool and I switched to another tool using the keyboard it jumps back. It’s a joke. I’ll go from Zoom to pen tool and as soon as I put the cursor over and start to work, it jumps back to Zoom or really any tool if I direct select the tool, it still happens but not as bad as when I use my keyboard. Now before anyone blames my keyboard, I have no issues with my keyboard at all except tool selection and Photoshop, this has been happening for a while, but with this latest version of Photoshop, it’s happening constantly. When using the pen tool to stroke a path, it always converts to the wrong brush. (1080 custom brush)I'm trying to use a solid round brush, but it always converts back to the 1080 brush.

Photoshop CS6When you hold down the mouse button to select a tool, it no longer shows the names of the tools except the very top one.For instance:  If I select the Brush Tool, but hold down the mouse button, it shows the icon for the Pencil, but it does not show the name, “Pencil”.I don’t know all the names of the tools so this is a hindrance. Please advise.  I did not see this issue duplicated hence the bug report.

When attempting to open a PDF in Photoshop, files are not parsed properly. For example, a US letter size PDF shows a width of 13 pixels and a height of 1 pixel. Even when resized, the file opens as a blank document that does not any known aspect ratio (eg. bounding box, media, etc.) This happens with multiple PDF files.  I'm curious if this bug is specific to Windows on ARM? Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.3.1 20260130.r.4 dc82f6c  arm64 (final, Release)Operating System: Windows 11 64-bitVersion: 11 or greater 10.0.26200.7623 

Strangely, when I would like to resize a photo in PS (as I’ve done numerous times) and therefore choose cmd-opt-I the frame, the _window_ containing the photo, resizes, and jumps to the upper right corner of my display. However, if I choose from the dialog the same command, not from keyboard, everything goes fine. I even visited the PS command section in Preferences, and cmd-opt-I was still there. Anyone met this strange behavior?

I’m thinking of upgrading my Mac, but not sure it’s totally necessary in order to run Photoshop and Bridge 2026 efficiently. My current Mac is a 2017 (Sequoia 15.7.4 operating system) with 64 GB 2666 MHz DDR4 of memory and a 3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W processor. And the hard drive is 2TB (175gb still available). How much improvement will I see in the speed / efficiency of running Photoshop (and Bridge) by updating my system? Thank you.

Hi There, probably using incorrect search terms so sorry if this is easy. I have 3D rendered 32bit HDR exr files I'd like to tone map in Photoshop. Currently I'm...Opening the 32bit EXR in PhotoshopConverting to 16bit via Exposure & Gamma (Local Adaptation looks weid as a starting point)Then converting to a smart objectAdding the Camera Raw effectAdjusting then exporting images to various formats QuestionsIs there a way of doing this while keeping the 32bit image editable?And is there a way of tweaking the 32bit while seeing the 16bit output? I don't have experience with 32bit images so keen to hear how others do this. Cheers, Ben

I am using a B390 GPU computer with system version Win11, PS version 2023, and camera raw version 18.2. PS can recognize my B390 GPU normally, but the camera cannot recognize it and prompts no GPU. Due to an error, graphics acceleration has been disabled and the graphics processor has encountered an unrecoverable error. Due to a runtime error, GPU acceleration has been disabled in the remaining sessions. May I ask how to solve this?

With the ceo of adobe stepping down now is a good time for adobe to make some changes.  As many artist have started to lose trust in Adobe (And their jobs), Adobe should focus on being an “Artist” first company over an ai first one.  As someone who draws and paints in animation and enterinment spaced having worked for Disney, Warner Bros, many other studios, I can say many artist feel adobe has lost touch with tools industry professionals need, and that adobe doesnt care about people who draw/paint/design outside of photography (yes I know photoshop was made for photography but times have changed).  I mean adobe canceled Adobe Animate, Adobe fresco hasnt had any real updates in years (Even Kyle T Webster left) not keeping up with industry standards, and photoshop hasnt had many artist focus updates in decades. Most studios feel they dont need artist anymore because AI can do the same work so why not make branding and tools to empower artist Adobe. Hello, Im creating product detail pages and trying to save it by Save for Web.  I know that Height limit is 8192 px,so I used slice tool and the longest dimension is 860*7321px  However, I still cannot save with 100% image size and it automatically downsize the image.27.32% and the weight becomesw 235px, which is too small for the image size I want.   how can I fix this problem?

I’m trying to export artboards to files but a Save for Web error message keeps popping up saying that it can’t complete the operation because there are no user slices.  I wasn’t trying to save for web, just trying to avoid renaming all my artboards after the fact. This is also the first time I’ve seen this message so I’m a little confused.  

I’m trying to recreate a sidewalk that was cropped on the bottom of a manhattan building. I get this error when I bring the crop down and choose generative expand. I’ve restarted both photoshop and my computer. I’m on the latest version of Photoshop and my Macbook is the highest Macbook pro from 2024.

Since updating to 27.4 yesterday I’ve had two random Program Errors, one relating to Smart Objects (in a document with no Smart Objects) and one about the color sampler.The problem is there’s no way to dismiss the dialog. There are two buttons: “OK” and “Learn how to fix” and neither of them do anything. I had to force quit both times to get back to work.Smart Object error was on a 2020 (Intel) Mac Pro and the color sampler error was on a 2022 Mac Studio. I didn’t get a screenshot of the first one because I assumed it was a freak occurrence. 

I Am using an iMac running OS 26.3.1 with PS 27.4When I want to see how my RGB colors have changed after an edit.  I was told to go the the Info Panel and hover over an area with the eyedropper and I will see for example R: 125/135 to show the before value and the after value.  However I only see the current value see attached.  MY QUESTION IS; How do I get my window to show R: xxx/yyy, G: xxx/yyyy and B: xxx/yyyAttached my current Info panel configuration and the way I want it to lookTop is mine and the bottom is what I wantThank you in advance for your help Michael

I'm fighting Gradient Layers in artboards for a long time now. I've posted in other's people discussions here, but PS devs don't seem to understand. Clearly they don't use their own software. - If you have multiple artboards and delete one, other gradient layers get messed up;- When your expot artboard using "Automate > Artboards to files...", gradients get messed up;- If you check "Align with layer" in the Gradient settings, and then move it using the new Gradient tool, it unchecks that setting;- When you duplicate a Artboard, gradient layer change scale and lose their "Align with layer" check;- When you create a Gradient Layer, the layer mask should be the size of the arboard, AND NOT the full canvas (this is the most ridiculous one, since the gradient only appears in the artboard that is in, why would you need a mask bigger then the artboard itself?) I recorded videos showing all the wrong behaviours that I fight with every day. I use these features everyday, and l

The print preview shows my document correctly but always print it blank, holding space to reset printer metadata reveals either a blank  page or my document way out of scale. i’ve tried resetting photoshop preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver, restarting the print spool service, etc. Everything i could find online regarding a fix i have tried and has failed to work.  I’m using the latest microsoft surface pro with windows 11 and the latest version of photoshop, that i got and set up less than a week ago.

I have reached a breaking point with Adobe software. It is now using so much memory any time that any time I launch an application I can barely get any work done at all. The apps are slow, they lag, they stop responding. I can’t have more than one Adobe app open at a time.Even now, with InDesign sitting idle it is using 2.09 GB. And Photoshop with a file open that is 181 mb is using over 30 GB!!This started when I upgraded to Tahoe. The memory problems and slow downs were unbelieveble so I switched back to Sequoia. That seemed to ersolve the problem for a short while but it is now worse than it has ever been.Please let me know what kind f info you need from me to help with this issue. I’m posting some screen shots that might or might not be helpful--I’m just guessing because I don’t know.Please help!

Hi, Many years ago I purchased the Adobe PhotoShop CS6 extended version.I have the oryginal CD, product numer and the product key.How do I install it on the laptop without the CD reader?Customer servie informed me that my version is not supported any more. I understand I will not receive any updated to the program but I would like to install it in the version I paid for.Thanks,Agata
