Hi I'm trying to open a new file (or use an existing one) and  type text on it and get a program error . any idea why? or how to deal with it? 

Bought a new Windows computer.Installed Photoshop Elements 18 from Adobe web page.Onedrive took care of syncing the photos from the cloud.Restored catalog from full backup Organizer's Media view shows all photos correctly.Organizer's My Folders shows only folders to which I have imported since the restore. Show All Subfolders shows the expected subfolder tree. However:Almost none show the binocular icon for folders holding imported files. Those that do have been created and the media imported after the installationSelecting a folder gives the "No files from this folder have been imported into Elements Organizer. To add any files, right click on the folder and select "Import Media"All of the folders hold imported files:Import Media for a folder takes a long time and then says all files were skipped because they are already in the catalog.The folder still does not show the binocular icon.Selecting the folder still shows no content. Repairing the catalog does not help.Optimizing

i have a pencil drawing of my grandfather , but his eyes are dark and i want to add a point of white in it.how can i manage that.

I don't seem able to install. Still possible? How? Any advice much appreciated. Thank you.

I'm most familiar with Photoshop CS6 but Photoshop Elements does some things that are just plain fun, quick, and easy. I'm considering buying a license for the current PSE release. In the olden days before subscriptions, a person would buy Photoshop and Adobe would give us Camera Raw updates for (I think) 3 years. After 3-years, the Camera Raw updates would stop. At that time, the person could buy a new license for the current PS release or use the DNG Converter for any RAW files from newer cameras. Since PSE is non-subscription, I wonder if that 3-years of Camera Raw updates still holds. I've searched the forum but did not find an answer.

Hello all,In my previous version e.g. I could click on a photo and choose to open it with photoshop editor but in this version I do not have that option. Can anyone tell me how to make that happen instead of having to open the organizer then clicking on the photo editor and then open a photo I have saved on my desktop?  Thank youPeg

I have a copy of photoshop elements purchased in 2021. It was installed on a MacMini M1. I purchased a new MacMini M2, and copied over all the files. Photoshop will not work on the new MacMini. It tells me that sign in is required but when I sign in with the correct credentials it does not log in, and simply tells me to sign in again. There is nothing in the help for this situation. I used the chat, but Priyanshu terminated the chat after I gave him the serial number. Can anyone resolve this? 

Hallo,ich benutze PSE 2021.Wenn ich Fotos vom Ordner auf PSE kopieren will, fehlen oft einzelne Fotos, die aber auf dem Ordner auf der Festplatte sind.Ich habe 2 Screenshots als Anhang.Im Ordner ist z.B. das Foto IMG 20290804 135150 (Screenshot 2).Wen ich das Foto über Datei>Fotos laden>Aus Dateien und Ordnern , die aufgeklappten Fotos ansehe, fehlt dieses Foto (Screenshot 1).Wie kann ich das fehlende Foto auf PSE herunterladen (Öffnen)?Grußrewoje

I want to remove the background from a crossed-out circle. I removed the background from the outside of the circle but not the inside. This looks like the inside is transparent, but it is not. 

I have new PC with Windows 11 but PSE8 [CD bought version] will not work.  It installs but stops PC booting so have to clean install Windows again. Something to do with CD drivers [Roxio?] not installing I think. Shame as it worked perfectly on Win10.I don't edit photos it's just the orgainser I use for family photos. I am ok to upgrade [PSE8 is rather old!] but only if I am confident my 4 catalogs will import to the latest version with all the tags etc.Thanks in advance for any answers !

When I try to import photos and I try to change the location of the files, Elements crashes. I can close all other major applications and nothing seems to help. Any suggestons?

Hi,I have Photoshop Elements 2020 which freezes for about 6 Minutes at a time. It's always dune it.I now have a really good computer which did not change anything.Can't understand why Adove make such crap software. And one can't contact Adobe, it's like they're not even there!! I would love to get it replaced with one that WORKS!!Anyway I hope I can get some advice hereCheers 🙂 

Hallo zusammen, bin neu bei "Photoshop". Ein paar Fragen in Kürze. Vorab: ich habe einen qualitativ vernünftigen Windows 11 PC.1. (wie) kann ich mehr als 1.500 über die KI gesteuerte Autokorrektur laufen lassen, ohne jedes Bild einzeln selbst aufrufen zu müssen?2. wie verhindere ich diverse Abstürze bei der Verarbeitung einer solchen Bildermenge?3. Insgesamt läuft das Programm bei dieser Bildermenge unerwartet "ruckelig". Ist das normal für Photoshop?Danke für Euren Support!

Estoy teniendo problemas con el catálogo de Organizer 2022. Me resulta problemático (lento) añadir ubicaciones de fotos. La herramienta de reparación dice que no hay errores pero la de Optimizar genera errores constantes y no termina nunca. He probado a iniciar el Gestor de Catálogos pulsando primero Shift, detenido las utilidades de indexación y backup que corren siempre en mi computador y, aún así, el fallo de Optimización persiste. El Catálogo está compuesto por +/- 50.000 fotos y videos.Tambien tengo problemas con la sección de mapas. Se ha puesto en modo 3D, y no encuentro la manera de pasar a 2D

I just got a new 24" All In One HP Pavillian. My PE 2021 was downloaded using my product serial number. The screen hides the top tools like. File/save as and Place etc. How can I fix it?

Hello, I would like to purchase Photoshop Elements for my windows 10 ,  but I see that in USA it costs 69 $ https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html In Italy costs 101,26  €https://www.adobe.com/it/products/photoshop-elements.htmlI don't know why in Italy there's no discount at the moment , but I wonder, is it possible purchase from usa at 69$?And if I purchase the one in USA, I could have problems with setting Italian language ?Or I can install also italian language also from the USA version?I mean, if there's discount in USA, it should be this the time to purchase for me that I can afford at the moment...Do you know something about or I can contact email of Adobe to ask questions?Thank you in advance for the help

Hi, I'm using Photoshop Elements 2023 and at some point, I did something that resulted in a huge list of .xmp and .jpg files at the root level of my 5T backup drive.  I think I did click on the prompt to backup my catalog, but I don't know if these files got to this location.  I also can't tell if I can delete these files to recover space on my backup drive.  The files are all dated the same and the .jpg files are actual photos.Do I need to re-import these files to Organizer?  There are so many that I am desperate to find a solution before I start trying to match these files with ones in my photo storage.Any help would be most appreciated.Thanks in advance,Bob S.
