Hi, I have a Mac Mini M2 with 8GB RAM. I was editing 4K videos on it before. It has been hanging a lot for a few days and the PC is getting hot.

Hello beautiful community friends. Had a question that I can't seem to solve for the freakin LIFE of me.    I have a new 2022 Mac Studio M2 Max. I have freakin 96 GB of Ram. I'm not editing really high res footage or anything, just simple stuff from my Iphone 14Pro. I'm running the latest Mac iOS and version of Premiere.    I'm experiencing a frustrating lag in my source monitor whenever I insert a clip into my timeline then come back to my source. It usually takes like 6-10 seconds to play.    My source monitor is typically fine...no lag if I'm just scrolling through and playing footage. But if I insert a clip FROM that source monitor TO my timeline, it takes a while for my source to start playing again. It's almost like it's "loading" or something.   (Also note, I don't have any heavy graphics layers or anything complicated. Just regular boring iPhone clips. This is about working with mask paths. While using a pen tablet to draw paths frame by frame, I want to select and move individual vertices, but I often encounter unintended behaviors. Specifically, instead of simply clicking and dragging a vertex to move it, a new point is sometimes added, or the tool switches to rotation mode, making the process very difficult to control. After Effects makes it easier in this regard because it allows you to fix the number of vertices and toggle rotation, but the software runs slowly, making it difficult to progress through frames smoothly. I wish the clickable area for selecting vertices was a bit larger, though I understand it’s unlikely to be improved anytime soon. Also, when zooming in to work more precisely, the frequency of misclicks seems to increase even more. If anyone else has experienced similar issues, I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions for how to deal with them.

This is exactly my problem:  help with audio drift on .dv files on mac Long story short, the problem has changed somewhat.  It used to be audio drift, now it's audio at all.  I have long iMovie .dv files (2hrs each) and when I bring them into Premiere Pro, there's no audio.  For some reason, only 1 clip had a few seconds of audio at the beginning, then none after.  How do I get my .dv files (that play just fine in Quicktime) to have audio when on my timeline in PP?   This has happened on multiple computers over multiple years/versions of PP so it's not as simple as cleaning out the Media Cache (which I also did).  I'm also not a video nerd so please explain it like you would a child.  Any ideas?

I work as a local reporter at a TV station in Cheyenne Wyoming. I do on camera interviews every single day and have an external microphone attached to the video camera.I have never had this issue in the past but now every time I drag my interviews into the timeline of Premier Pro the audio and video are out of sync. The raw file is in sync on the desktop but as soon as I drag the file into premiere pro the audio and video are out of sync completely. Please help me find the solution to this problem. 

Whenever I use the "auto transcribe" function on a sequence  20 mins or longer, after about 2/3 of the way through the process my PC shuts down all of sudden. No warning, no freezing, no blue screen. Instant shut down as if there was a power cut. This occurs on version 23.1 and 23.2 with latest GPU drivers installed. Windows 104790KRTX309032GB Ram500GB SSD

Vídeo muda a cor na hora de exportar, alguma solução?

Hi,I've come across a frustrating glitch or issue where after leaving a timeline running after a short period of time, the video on my timeline would go into what looks like fast-forward mode without pressing the L button. I cannot find the solution to this issue. I've pressed the J button several times to reverse this but I am still having issues. Right now, I've resorted to closing the app and opening it again so the issue doesn't come up again. Is there a particular reason for this happening? Has anyone else encountered this problem? Could you please lend a hand? Thank you

I just updated to V25 and I was really looking forward to the fresh new timeline with rounded corners on clips, but its not there? Do I have to switch something on or is it missing?

Hi everyone Just trying to figure out what's going on here. I'm simply trying to record a voice over on my version (13) of Premiere Pro, and leep coming up with this error. I've tried fiddling around with the settings, and tried googling this error, but existing threads have pointed me to solutions that don't quite work on my version of Pr. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. 

As the Topic says. Using "special" character in the file name (footage), folder or project make Premiere Pro unusable, I've notice this since December. In spanish wer have this "´" I've been using my whole life in projects, file names and everything without a problem. Since I found and detect this problem (december) I've been avoiding, for the first time in my life, using this character wich is very common. What is does in Premiere is that the CPU usage goes to 100%, not only in the playback but also if the playhead is over the clip, or if you try to move the clip in the timeline, it doesn't matter the type, format or size of the footage, if you have this character in the name, folder or project the usage goes to 100%, so is imposible to work with. I'm working in a new project, and I have to use old footage that have this character, and it's been a pain.  I don't get it, I've been using Premiere Pro for almost 20 years and never had this problem. PC D

When I import any video / audio to Premiere a .pek file shows up next to the original file, this is very inconvenient for me because I have folders with only sound effects and videos and I don't want these files here. How can I change the location of these files to the project folder or anywhere else?

I watched tutorials on how to recover but I didnt have autosave on and when I try to import it into a new project it says the same thing is there any way to fix this? Please I need help super bad right now!

Any time I add footage, audio or try to make any cuts or moves to the timeline Premiere crashes. I tried updating to the newest version and while it fixes the issue with Premiere it causes After Effects to no longer allow me to open or create new projects (I posted about this bug in the After Effects community). I need to use both pieces of software for work, and having to uninstall and reinstall Premiere/roll back versions in order to get After Effects to work is a maddening and time consuming endeavor. I am running Windows 11. Here is the Event Log. 

We recently moved from Premiere Pro 2018 to 2020. When saving an aif in 2018, the permissions would be -rw-rw-r--, however in 2020 they are saved as -rw-r--r-- Nothing else has changed on the Mac and we can still save with correct permission using 2018.-rw-rw-r-- 1 user1 shared_group 5887744 Jun 30 13:09 file_from_CC2018.aif -rw-r--r-- 1 user1 shared_group 5781212 Jun 30 13:10 file_from_CC2020.aif iMacPro running High Sierra and saving to an NFSv3 share

I'm using Premiere to compare captures from VHS tapes. A friend with a whole heap of capture equipment and software, has generated 40 captures of the opening spiel from a professional VHS tape (we assumed it would be a good place to start our investigation), using different capture techniques, so that we can judge which is the method that gives the best results when we capture our own tapes.   The captures have been layered and aligned so that I can immediately compare any two by turning the layer visibility on and off.  Two such captures are Video 9 and Video 11 .   But something came up straight away that I can't explain. I have uploaded 6 screen shots taken from Premiere.  See attachments.   Video 9a, of rolling credits, shows horizontal lines through the letters, whereas Video 11a does not. I am having such a frustrating time exporting videos.   I work for a local lifestyle social media platform that makes daily vertical videos about the community. I dont exactly know when it started, been half a year i'd say, but on 80% of my exports, ive been getting 1 or 2 black frames in the final product. HOWEVER, on the export, only the VIDEO has the black frames, and not the captions. So for that frame, the captions are still visible. And on each export the black frames may appear in completely different spots.   My temporary solution is having a co-worker export projects for me, thinking that it is something with my machine. BUT, recently they were let go, and i had to shift to his station. To my surprise, my exports STILL have the black frames. Then i thought maybe i adjusted my export settings differently from my co-workers, but it turns out they are EXACTLY the same settings. I have a problem with colorization in Premiere. Lately, when I export any video on my Mac M4 Pro, the colorization changes to a more desaturated, or flatter, tone. I have installed previous versions of Premiere, but the problem persists. The program's color settings are fine, but the export continues to be incorrect. I am uncertain of what else to do.

Several people have posted about this problem, but for years nothing seems to have been done, so I'm adding it as a bug. 4K Multi-Cam clips appear zoomed in when working in a HD sequence. 4K>HD is a common workflow, not an edge case, and therefore this should be fixed. Resizing hundreds of multi-cam clips isn't a solution.     

When exporting a sequence in xml Premiere Pro and importing it into Davinci and vice versa the Audio lines are extremely bugged. For example 1, 2, 3 (Mono)is duplicated into mono clips by Davinci and Premiere Pro too and thus should turn into 1L, 1R, 2L, 2R, 3L, 3R (Stereo)but instead turns into1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 I have tried to fix it using Premiere Pro and Davinci resolve on different PCs.In addition to that Ive tried all possible export methods and validated the xml file on the internet but nonetheless some versions could not be imported into Davinci Resolve, no matter if I exluded clips, removed all attributes, turned stereo into Mono and vice verca, used a clip without any edits. Sometimes when importing there was an error: "DOM parser error . I recently updated to the latest version of Premiere, and I’m getting this error:  It no longer recognizes the subtiles tracks:It worked perfectly in the previous version. Any suggestions or guidance on how to fix it?

I just bought the Macbook Pro M3 Max 36GB RAM and was expecting lightening fast editing. I have had nothing but issues. The preview keeps freezing on one frame for like 5 minutes then it will play. I'm unable to scrub or play and it won't synchronize. I'm working off of a samsung t7 and have changed the cables, it's working fine.  I have updated to 24.1, reverted back to 23.5, 23.6, back up to 24.1, deleted preferences, made sure the little preview box was on in my media browser, and all of the other basic fixes. NOTHING HAS WORKED!!  Could it be the laptop?! Should I return it?!
