I'm not a fan of when people right click on a clip on the timeline and choose "gain" to decrease volume of a clip because it makes the waveform height go down and look smaller. thats what I love about changing the volume in the effects control tab, it doesnt reduce the size of the waveforms...... until now..... This seems like a bug and makes it a lot more difficult to see definitive waveform patterns when the waveform lengths get smaller when i reduce the volume. Please fix this. have been using APE 2026 for a while with no issues. I now cannot put a clip on to edit with the video and audio linked. I’ve used the ‘unlink’ in the past and it is nothing connected to that as the menu will not give me the option to ‘link’. Any ideas on how to fix this would be great as it is doing my head in trying to exactly match the cut on video and again on audio. Only thing that works as one is the ripple delete - even if I try to move a clip manually, I have to move video and then go back to move audio as they will not link up in any way! PLEASE HELP

I have a multicam 90 minute long converstation with 2 people. Each person has their own audio file. I would love to clean things up with text editing but I'm only seeing the transcript for the audio on the first audio channel; A1. Seems like a simple fix but couldn't find anything when searching.  Is there a solution?  I am using version 25.5.  

I have a master sequence with multiple nested sequences inside and I want to cut out all the “um” “uh” “you know”. However, the text-based editing mode is greyed out. I’m guessing it’s because of the use of nested sequences? What should I do? 

Greetings.   I hava a timeline that contains both 608 and 708 caption tracks.  The issue I'm having is that both the 608 and 708 cc streams are not embedding in the output file when I export via Media Encoder - Just the 708 stream is being encoded.  The file format being rendered to is MXF XDCAM 422 1080i.  If, however, I do a direct render from Premiere, both streams are embedded as they should be.  Both methods of exporting are using the exact same render preset. I'm working on a windows 10 system.  I have not had this issue previously.

I’m really distraught as I have had this same problem with the last two videos where exporting is either ridiculously slow (predicts something like 31 hours; I do schoolwork on this laptop, and it isn’t feasible for me to not use Chrome for so long), and hangs over and over. The last video I exported hung no matter what I tried, and it wasn’t until rendered it, turned the video into a Quicktime ProRes 422 LT, reimported back into Premiere, and exported as H.264 did it work. I’ve been using Premiere since 25.0 in August, and I didn’t run into this issue back then. It became progressively worse the longer I used Premiere, so I’m not sure if it’s a usage thing or. An issue I’ve run into on my last and current export is the encoding part never starting and getting stuck at 0%. Sometimes it starts and get stuck at a random percent (it was also random, which meant it wasn’t a corruption on any of the clips specifically). I am using Captioneer in Premiere Pro. When I go to package the file and then I open the packaged project, I get greeted with “The project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements.”How do I fix this? Thanks

Hi all, I am experiencing a glitch with Premiere Pro where any form of dragging does not work. For example, dragging any ‘effect control’ value will treat it as a click and opens the text box, dragging to extend a clip or move a layer simply won’t work, and even dragging to scrub the playhead does not work. It’s a super frustrating glitch that I first noticed in January, but today it’s playing up more-so than usual. This is an intermittent glitch; dragging does & can work, but only half of the time.This issue occurs when using either the trackpad or external mouse, so it can’t be a hardware issue.I have reinstalled Premiere Pro numerous times in an attempt to fix the issue, but the glitch still continues. I’ve attached a screen recording to show exactly what I’m experiencing.I am running Premiere Pro Version 26.0.1 (Build 3) on a MacBook Pro (Nov 2024), 48GB memory, running Tahoe 26.3.I’d appreciate any help and support on this!

So you cannot just post a question here easily any more you have to job through hoops just to post a question. Adobe how do you live with yourself. Insanely poor experience. I have the latest version of Premiere and the Morph transition not only never starts the analyzing it never finishes either. When you do a search you get posts from 8 to 10 years ago with no ability to filter based on date! How does this get past your QA???? you are a software company how do you not understand how insane this is. I am not trouble shooting software from 10 years ago, nobody is.  

How can I break out one stereo track in my timeline into two discrete mono tracks? I know how to do it on a clip, I modify the audio channels. But I have a sequence where there are two audio channels on one timeline track, and I want to break them out into two separate mono tracks so that I can edit them independently, but I have searched all over the web for years for this one and cannot find the solution. Can someone please help?  The sequence is too long modify all the source audio clips and re-cut them in.    

Hi guys, super frustrating.  I am trying to drag and drop a motion graphic into my timeline, but every time I try it says that it is not compatible with my version of premiere and to update to the latest version.  My Premiere and AE are both up to date.This happens with every graphic I try to pull over from the adobe stock essential graphics tab. Screenshots attached.

I’m encountering an issue where every time I open a project in Premiere Pro, it displays the message “Relinking Media.” This problem persists regardless of whether I change the project’s path or name. I’ve tried closing the project and reopening it directly, but the issue persists. Occasionally, I need to re-open the project to make corrections for a client, and I have to wait for the “Media loading” notification to clear before I can export the rushes without encountering the same issue. I believe this is not a deliberate action by the PR team, and I would appreciate any explanation or solution to this problem.

Hello,I've been having a problem with the Frame.io extension since today. It simply doesn't work anymore, and it's impossible to connect to the service via Premiere or After Effect.An error message appears asking you to reload the extension and restart it.Despite this, it doesn't work.Am I the only one?Thanks in advance for your help

So basically I have a film I'm editing (a big production).  I have each part of the film in a 20 min sequence. It crashed at one point I opened that section up via auto save. I dragged that project into the Production. It repopulated all the footage in that one project. After using it for a bit i noticed it’s very slow and occasionally i will get a warning of low memory which will sometimes crash.I thought if i repopulated the production with footage from the previous project it will match frame back to the old location but it doesn’t. Before i re cut that whole section in a new sequence is there anything else i can do. Additionally I had a huge problem with my project on dropbox the project started to disappear. I moved it off dropbox. But now that section is always asking for a mask? I would like to shoot a 4k video, zoom in to make it full HD but then use auto reframe (or other means) on premier pro to follow the object. Auto reframe appears to work well when going from 16:9 to other aspect ratios but not when keeping the same ratio and zooming in. Is this even possible?

I’m trying to make an effect of a sound wave. There’s a guy in the center of the screen and when he yells, there are air-distorting waves coming out of his mouth at a high frequency. Something like this:To create this effect I’m using a combination of animated stroked circles (graphics layer) of a black color and a compound blur targeted on this graphics layer. The problem I need to fix is make the strokes feathered. I tried the compound blur settings (there’s a feather), 2 rounded crops on a black solid (one - inverted, both feathered, blur to blur the stroke. Nothing makes the circles have soft edges. Any ideas? Maybe a different technique?No AE. NO AE.

Hey all! I'm experiencing a really weird quirk in Premiere that I think might be a bug? Looking to see if others can confirm it as a bug, or show me a fix. For 4 years, I've used a keybind system in Premiere that incorporates custom mapping for the thumb-side buttons of my mouse. I currently use a Logitech Mx Master 4, but this has worked across various mice and mapping softwares. Using the "Logi Options+" software, I have ( = ) bound to the front thumb-side button, and ( - ) bound to the back thumb-side button (shown in an attached image). I use these to zoom in ( = ), and out ( - ).  I also use modifier keys with these buttons for different commands.
