Questions

I can't open the PPro CC project I saved yesterday.  Everything is there except the timeline is empty.  I know this has something to do with sequences, but over all the years I have worked with PPro, I still can't seem to figure them out!  The Auto-Save version that was saved shortly before I closed opens just fine, but I want to access my last save.  I know there is a simple fix to this.  Can someone tell me what it is?

Hi,First, I have searched the forums and only found threads that didn't have any real conclusions.I edit a lot of files, and for 95% of them I use the same export preset, as I'm sure many people do.  I very rarely use the Match Source preset, as I need to save bandwidth/file sizes.  Premiere Pro remembers my Format choice (H.264), but it doesn't remember my Preset.  I have to select it manually every time.  I haven't found any way to set a default.Can anyone help with this?  I'm quite surprised that a program as thoroughly developed and refined as PP doesn't have this implemented many years ago.Thanks!

new user to Premiere. i am a bit confused by the interface. I load in footage during the first page. But after on the left side it shows preview rolls of the footage i imported. Yet when i drag it to the timeline it is not playing when i press play. Is there a setting or something with graphics i can check? It does allow me to preview the timeline frame by frame.

Hello, this is my second or third time dealing with this problem with my footage whenever I try to put it in slow motion. I record in 60fps and my sequence is also at 60fps. Attempted to slap this video and try slowing it down on a 30fps sequence but came across the same problem. I have been filming sports and noticed that the football glitches whenever it is in the air. Hopefully someone could assist me with this. Thank you!

Trying to transcribe a sequence interview footage (clean audio) and the option to transcribe just isn't there in the text panel. Only option it gives is to generate a static transcript.

HiApologies if this has been asked and answered a ton of times. I am making what should be a straightforward video for my daughters 13th birthday. I want to merge loads of photos with music. The problem is the photos all have different resolutions and aspect ratios, taken on various Iphones, androids and regular camera over the years. I also want to mix in some videos taken on varous devices. I have imported all but on playback lots of the images are not displaying in full, only partial. Is there a suquence setting that will uniformly adapt all the various resolutions and ratios so they all display in full while I edit the timeline? or do I first need to convert all images and videos to the same res/ratio?If someone had an idiot proof guide to how I do this it would be much appreciated.thanks.

Every time I add a section of a clip to my timeline, PP seems to create and 'instance' of this in my source window. This means the menu for the window get's very cluttered. Can I stop this behavior?

Hello Adobe Community, I'm encountering an issue with Premiere Pro where my final video output is longer than the original timeline after exporting. Specifically, a video with a timeline duration of 00:39:21:18 ends up being 00:39:24:00 after export, despite setting the export frame rate to 29.97 fps. I've confirmed that both my sequence and export settings are consistent and set to 29.97 fps. This also applies to other footages and output of 23.98 & 59.97 Here are the details: Premiere Pro Version: Up to date (V. 24.2) Sequence Settings: 29.97 fps Export Settings: H.264, 29.97 fps Source Footage Frame Rate: 29.98 I've checked for frame rate consistency across my footage, sequence, and export settings. Additionally, I've verified that I'm using the latest version of Premiere Pro. Could this discrepancy in the video length be related to a setting I might have overlooked, or is it a known issue with a workaround? Any insights or advice on how to ensure the exported video

Audiotracks (belonging to video) are displayed wrongly. The audio itself is correct, only the wavetrack shows the waves wrong. When I zoom in far enough on the timeline, the wave becomes correct. When I zoom out, the wave becomes wrong again. I have already tried resetting cache, preferences and reinstalling the whole program.

 why i can not see my videos above the time line please help me 🥲🥹 

Am I having better performance, regarding interface using, or is just placebo? I have a Top PC, but interface performance is horrible, I mean... Not horrible but could be faster response   Mod note: Branched from the announcement thread. New title was added.

What year premiere pro supports capture? I downloaded the 2023 version it has the capture option but doesn't support my hardware. Using I movie I can capture my tapes so I know my hardware is good but it downgrades the quality.  

When I saw this on the list of FAQ's, I wondered if Adobe had changed it's policy of just offering the current and previous version of the app.    It seems that there is no obvious rhyme or reason as some apps have a few other versions available.   It's possible I missed a post about this change... But on this page https://tinyurl.com/m3z99jk3 (I've used tinyurl cause the address is way to long) Adobe says "We provide installers for our current apps and the previous major version of each." So just a heads up if you're looking for an older version. worth checking the creative cloud desktop app as the page suggests.    I know I've answered peoples queries here looking for earlier versions with imperfect information...          

Hi All, I publish content to MANY different playlists within my youtube channel and I prefer to render/publish directly from PP/AME for the convenience, which allows me to send videos directly into a target playlist within my account.  However, this list only displays the 50 most recent playlists (what it appears to be at least). But I have some older playlists that I still add content to weekly. Does anyone have any tricks to force older playlists back into that list? Or purge some playlists from the list? I produce content seasonally for customers, and once that season is over I will never need to publish into those playlists anymore, so removing them from the dropdown would be fine with me.

Hello,My masking tool is not working. Once I draw the shape nothing turns black not the background or the shape. This happens when I use the circle and sqaure to mask as well.

Recently purchased a new Macbook and I found a unique issue I didn't have before.When I put my panel items into a stacked group, my scroll wheel will not work properly. It will start to scroll for the smallest bit, but then stop entirely.When unstacked, it works fine and I can scroll perfectly fine. I can hover over the scroll wheel and it will work, however, this has never happened to me prior. And it is so narrow, it impedes my workflow. I would like to get back to using it how I always have before. I have attached a screen recording to show the issue properly. Obviously, when nothing is happening, I am in fact attempting to scroll with my mouse wheel. Using:Premiere Version 25.2.0macOS Sequoia - Ver. 15.3.1

If I have a bin set up in icon view, everytime I switch to a different workspace and return to the editing workspace, the bin reverts to List view. Previous versions didn't do that. Is there something in preferences  I'm missing.

Hi all! I'm a School Librarian and I want to create a video of a book reading. I would like the pre-made pictures on an illustrated page to have some movement, i.e. eyes rolling, a character 'walking' on a page, sun rising, etc.I am using Premiere to create my videos, but I'm not sure what I can use to animate. Is it Adobe Animate? Adobe Photoshop? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!Marie

Hello all - I have been encountering a problem with PP both 25 and the previous version. I am using a Dell XPS laptop (Intel i9, NVIDIA GEForce RTX 4060, 32 GB RAM) with Cirrus Logic sound driver.  And yes, every single driver - and Windows - is completely up to date. On every other non-Adobe application, the sound driver works perfectly. However, when I launch PP, within 2 minutes of any use, the sound driver gets disabled.  If I close PP though, within 2-5 minutes of exit, the sound driver mysteriously re-appears perfectly. I had Dell check out the laptop and they are saying that there's no problem with the laptop hardware or software settings. They think the problem is the Adobe PP software. Anyone have any thoughts?

Bonjour, j'ai des problèmes avec mes enregistrements OBS (sûrement dus à la durée du rush) par rapport à l'audio.J'essaie donc de régler le problème en raccordant le son à l'image sur Premiere Pro mais lorsque j'essaie de décaler l'audio avec ma souris, je suis obliger de décaler d'au minimum 25 centièmes, ce qui fait que l'audio est forcément en avance ou en retard, mais impossible de le synchroniser avec l'image.Si ce problème est réglable, faites moi savoir comment s'il vous plait.Par ailleurs, si vous savez comment régler le problème de base (provenant bien d'OBS et pas du logiciel de montage), je suis également preneur, même si nous ne sommes pas sur un forum dédié à OBS.Merci d'avance,Bonne journée.
