When first opening a Premiere project from the Auto-Save Folder, then Save As... the save dialogue opens. The current original file shows as greyed out outside the Auto-Save folder as expected. However, clicking on the item to replace the file with the original name, the dialogue selects the file name, but also unexpectedly the Auto-Save folder. As such, the user is tricked to save the file into the Auto-Save folder, instead of replacing the selected file. Thanks.

Hi,   I had a problem, and I've found the solution, so I thought it might be a good idea to share it here. For some reason, sometimes it is not possbible to right-click in the timeline and select "clear all markers".   I discoverd this is because the settings "Sequence > selection follows playhead" has been enabled. This automatically selects a clip in the timeline and for some weird reason, it disables the option to clear all markers. Disable selection follows playhead and you are able to clear all markers.   ... now for some reason, the selection follows playhead option is sometimes re-enabled, I don't know how this happens. I don't have a short-cut assigned to it, that I accidently type ... .

I just sat down to try and catch-up on some backlog and I spent 40 minutes relearning how to do a simple text title.  This is RIDICULOUS!   I was just getting used the overly complicated "Essential Graphics" and now Adobe has managed to make it even more obtuse and difficult.   I do not have the time to constantly relearn simple tasks like titling and NO it is not an improvement in any way!   Mod note: Edited for content. Please do not disparage community members, including Adobe Employees.

I have 2 subtitle styles, red/white for main speaker, yellow/black for others.       When I select all the ALTERNATE speakers and select the YELLOW track style, it changes EVERY caption style on the sub.   The only way to change all the ALTERNATE SPEAKER captions to yellow is to select them all, and manually change fill (copy hex code, paste), manually change background (copy hex code, paste) and repeat for subsequent videos.   Surely there is an easier way? Even a singular copy paste?Reminder: Changing the track style once, change it for all captions.Edit: I tried using 2 tracks, one with red track style for main, one with yellow track style for alt speakers, however PPro only allows one to be visible. Toggling visibilty on one, turns it off for the other.

Sometimes an effect is drag & drop to layer in the time line, other times an adjustment layer is created & effect is drag & drop to that adjustment layer. How to decide whether an effect needs adjustemtnt layer or not?   

Hi,7 months ago we did a film using Premiere Pro and the font Yu gothic bold. Now we would like to do a short trailer and add some text to the font credits but Yu gothic seems no longer available.Is there a way to get the font back so that we dont have to do all text parts again?Thanks!Katrin

Hi, I got i7 14700 2.10 ghz Windows 11 Pro RTX 4060 laptop   I'm adding a video to the program. The audio plays, but instead of showing anything, the screen freezes and remains stuck on the visual from the previous screen. I cant watch the video (even tutorial videos) on Program section, it makes sound but nothing play. Here is the example below. Help me plz..

I want to use pen tool. Color of the background and path color of pen tool  is not contrdition enough. Is there any way to have pen tool path color option?  

Hello,I was shooting an interview situation and have now trouble with my second cam footage.A Sony a7s in combination with an Atomos Sumo was used to record it in 4k ProRess422HQ.When I load the footage into Premiere something strange happens: While the "Source" monitor shows the material as it was recorded and set up at the shoot (WB and exposure seems fine, also compared to the primary camera), the colors and exposure shown on the "Program" monitor is completely off! When i open the footage with VLC the material looks fine, but as soon as I render it through Media Encoder the colors and exposure way off again (Proxies even more)  I shot a similar Situation with the exact same set-up already half a year ago and even though the video data (codec, color space, bitrate, etc.) are the same, this time it doesn't work at all. Kindest regards,Mathias I'm working on Premiere Pro 14.5.0 (Build 51)Windows 10, Intel Xeon W-2125 4.0 GHz, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro P400

Hey everybody, Posted this in the Media Encoder-subforum as well, but no results.. This one is way more active, so I'll have a crack here.. I've been exporting video's in H.264 with NVENC Hardware Encoding for a couple years now, and it always has been working fine. But since today it suddenly doesn't work anymore. I've tried everything, I've updated my Nvidia-drivers to both the Game Ready and Studio Drivers, I've installed an earlier version of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder etc. etc. but nothing works. My hardware is:AMD Ryzen 9 5900XNvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super32GB DDR4 RAMSamsung 990 Pro SSD And my encoder settings are:H.2643840x2160p 25fpsProgressiveVBR 1-Pass (35 Mbps target with 45Mbps max) Look, It's never been an issue, and now when I wanna export a video with the exact same settings it suddenly doesn't work anymore, and I've also tried on other videos which I previously rendered. I'm doing a short video about an open-water swimmer who is blind. I could sure use some input to help me reduce suddenly loud waves at the shore during an interview I did. I should have known better, but a passing ferry created just enough waves to give me angst while editing this interview because my subject was, of course, at the shore, which was initially quiet. Bad subject placement, for sure.   I've been mucking around with Essential Sound, but I can't seem to find a result that I'm really satisifed with. Any suggestions are really welcomed. I am able to set the Look by providing a index number which reprensents the menu option from the dropdown app.project.activeSequence.videoTracks[0].clips[0].components[2].properties[32].setValue(5, true);   Is there a way to load a LUT as blob programatically and set it for the Look? Maybe somehow initiate the "Browse" option and programatically inject the the blob's path?   Checking this document about the Lumetri properties, on index 0 there is the Blob property, but I don't know what it is for? Premiere Pro 22.6.3MacOS Catalina (10.15.7) Working with captions. Same settings on back-to-back subtitles but the position is different. I've tried clicking difference zone positions thinking it might reset the issue, but it does not. Don't want to have to offset every one of these, obviously. Ideas?

As I type out numbers using  =, +, x or -, the numbers will flip to the wrong side of the equation. Similar problems occur when I use dollar signs. Please let me know if anyone has potential solutions. Attached screen recorded gif with my key strokes displayed on screeen.

There has been an old post about it that I cannot reactivate, so I will start a new one.Using a Premiere Multicam sequence has been recommended in the past to sync audio and video by premiere. I have lots of footage from two different cameras and I need to sync them by waveform. However I cannot see an option to mark the clips as "camera 1" and "camera 2" before syncing. So multicam sometimes stacks up six videos on top of each other although they were shot by the same camera. How can I fix that?another option:I tried to put them all in a timeline first - video for every camera on a single track, but when I right click "syncronize" is greyed out. any other option? I not set the "camera label" in the metadata fields for all of my clips. So I labeled them like "1" and "2" for my cameras, still it stacks up 8 clips on top of each other.

I have a Fujifilm XT4 camera, and when I record Hi speed videos, it gets saved as 1080p, 24fps video in camera. I was able to perfectly play that video in the timeline till recently, and i do not know what exactly happened, but now when that clip comes in the timeline, the video preview is just not there. But i could easily scrub through 4K 24fps, 400Mbps videos without any issues. I even tried creating a proxy, but have no effect I am editing in an Asus Laptop, with RTX 3060, i7 12700H, 24GB RAM.  Can anyone tell me what the issue is. As i mentioned earlier, I had no issue earlier.

Hello ! Like to share problems with the new update and hopefully find a solution. I have a Mac M1 Max, Ventura Version 13.4, CPU with 10 cores and GPU with 24 cores - 32GB RAM - 1000GB SSD. I use external ssd like samsung 5TO etc. So I have a good computer and relative fast hard drives. Yesterday I opened a project I started in the 2024 version, and Adobe asked if I wanted to open it in the new version since it had updated itself. I approved and since my project been bugging sooo much and I need to render after every little changement. I tried working again in the 2024 version but I didn't see that much difference.... What should I do ?? Or is somebody else having these problems ? For now it's impossible to advance on my projects in a normal working pace...

OK, gang, here’s the skinny: this project is a long form doc and for various reasons I’m not going to get into here, it needed to be upgraded from one huge Premiere project to Productions. It involved a lot of reorganizing of footage into MEDIA ONLY projects and SEQUENCE ONLY projects. At first there were a lot of duplicate clips, but as they were discovered we brought them into the MEDIA ONLY projects and consolidated them. So far so good.Now, sometimes when importing sequence from project to another within the Production, the sequence brings what appears to be an empty media folder with it. If I try to delete it I get a warning saying that it contains media attached to a sequence.Normally, I would bring that folder into the appropriate MEDIA ONLY project and consolidate the clips, but since I can’t see what the media is, I can’t consolidate it into the correct bin.So, I have to figure out how to reveal these “invisible” clips so I know where to drag them in, to then consolidate the d

Hi there, I have been searching around the internet to find a solution for a file/premiere pro error. Sorry if I don't use the right terminology, I am not very tech-savvy. Here is the issue I am facing. Every time I enter the audio workspace (premiere pro 25), I am no longer able to find the Audio-match button and the audio presets are gone. I can only do a limited amount of audio things. I looked it up and they said to delete my user preferences through documents>Adobe>Premiere pro>25.0>Profile-'user'>Settings [windows version]. The problem is I cannot find these files. I go to documents>Adobe> and all I find is Adobe Media Encoder. When I go to create a new project on Premiere Pro, this is the path it defaults to but I am not able to save there and get prompted with this error. Is there anyway to get the selected clip in a timeline using ExtendScript? And also get that clips in/out point (and other metadata).If not, any plans to implement it? I'm currently looking to do a "Publish" tool in Premiere for a vfx pipeline and I need to be able to "do stuff" on the selected clip./Simon
