Hi everyone,I’m hoping to get some guidance on a captioning workflow question in Premiere Pro. I want to make sure I’m doing things in a clean, scalable, “best practice” way, especially now that I’m working with a larger volume of footage and dual-language subtitles. My Setup & WorkflowI have a large “Dailies” timeline that contains every clip from a shoot in strict chronological order. This is where I do all my caption creation/adjustments.My workflow looks like this:1. Double-click a clip → open in Source Monitor2. Use Window → Text → Transcribe3. Before Première Pro 25.5.0 (build 13, Windows 11, Nvidia 5090), when one would grab and move an audio transition handle*, it used to also select the audio-transition itself.If you for example moved the in-point of the transition, and then directly hit delete, it would delete/clear the audio transition. Since I updated Première Pro, moving the transition in-point does not select the transition anymore. I am so used to grabbing the handle and pressing delete (since otherwise, you have to zoom in to select the transition itself). Was this change of behaviour intentional?*

Hey there, quick question which anoys me since ever. How do I choose which of two clips is the reference clip and which clip will be moved when synchronising two clips with the build in synchronize tool in premiere pro? Thanks for your help! Leo

The AI object selection tool doesn't replace the regular roto tool, why remove it? There is currently no method to mask out section fo the footage in a soft way.  How do you create a power window or remove a corner of footage.  

Hi,   I have the very latest drivers from Intel Oct 22 '25, 32.0.101.8247 and an 12gb intel ARC B580  with 32gb DDR5 intel i7-12700k Just insanely laggy jittery playack of imported files... Been a while since I have been in this software, kinda expected better...   MArk.

I want to press the Analyze button and continue working. But the video analysis doesn't work the first time, I have to press it again. It's inconvenient. Don't ask about the configuration; this problem occurs on different PCs. All updates are installed, even on the monitor.

The two buttons at the bottom of my timeline are now reversed?  If I spred them apart the timeline zooms in.  If I move them closer together the timeline expands.  I imagine I accidentally clicked on some options but not sure.

Whilst filming, I was given an audio file of an interviewee from my DoP, and I started pulling selects onto a timeline just to make sure we had the right soundbites. I’ve now got a synced video file (same length, same content), and I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way in Premiere to replace the audio-only clips with this new video/audio file so the video appears on the timeline without manually re-cutting everything.When I try right-click then replace footage, the clip updates to show the audio/video icon in the project panel, but only the audio shows up in the timeline.. no video appears. Is there a way to get the video portion onto the timeline from those already-edited audio clips? Any help/advice greatly appreciated! 

Did I miss 'Render In to Out' being removed a while ago or has this just happened? Either way any idea why it's gone and has anyone got a workaround to help render small sections when needed for smooth playback?I've tried 'Render Selection' but it just seems to play through without actually rendering, so I must be missing something there? Cheers!

Hi all, I'm using a MacBook Pro, 14 inch, 2021; Apple M1 Pro, 16 GB, Sonoma 14.5 Since the latest update, Premiere Pro (24.5.0 build 57) has been changing the audio levels in the timeline. I'm recording MP4 on a Canon XA-75. The levels are correct as recorded, peaking at about -6dB.  Earlier today, when I was editing, the audio levels were normal in the timeline, and it all sounded find. Halfway through the edit, the audio levels of all the segments in the timeline had shot up to zero, basically all red and completely distorted. This has happened a couple of other times in the past two weeks. I also have tried to set the correct levels in one segment, copying them, then pasting the attributes in the rest of them to save time. That did not work. I also tried setting the audio gain to -6dB on all the segments by right-clicking and going to audio gain in the pull-down menu. Hi,When I uploaded my Nikon MOV files (Video Codec Type: MP4/MOV H.264 4:2:0  (Full Range)) into Premiere Pro 2019 they don't play video. I got audio only, and frozen video.On my very old laptop and Kdenlive editing software this was working smoothly without problem. Do I need to buy any codec or do anything else to be able such files in Premiere Pro?[1] I took small part of a .MOV clip (about 5 seconds), exported it into .mp4 file (took about 4 minutes!) - and such file works. Why is not playing in Premiere Pro and why takes so long time for just 5 seconds?[2] Files .MOV play very well in any video player in the system, only not in PP.

After creating a multicam sequence out of several nested sequences (by selecting them in the project window and right clicking and using the Create Multi Camera Source Sequence Dialogue), I now can't undo changes made within the individual nests. The changes I make, i.e. disabling a clip, do not show up in the History panel. See video attached -- changes applied to a clip that isn't in the nested sequence appear in the History panel, but when I make changes to the nested sequence that's used in the multicam sequence, they do not appear, and Ctrl + Z to undo does not work.This issue has been discussed here with someone commenting that they're still experiencing the issue as of one week ago. So it's been an issue that people have faced since at least 2019 but it's my first time encountering it. I've reset my preferences, uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere. I don't know what else to do to get this working properly.Premiere Version: 24.5, I'm on Windows 11

Such a funny bug. Adobe Premiere Pro 2022 doesn't show the location path option at all when I am trying to export anything. Not sure where the issue is.   And of course when I click export, I get the following error which is obvious.  Anyone has a solve to this?

Latest Premiere pro 25.5 transcriptions are broken

When rendering video from drone footage (Codec: MPEG-H Part2/HEVC (H.265) (hvc1)) I get the error "Failed to install the following item: C:\users\publicx\documents\AdobeInstalledCodecsTier2\4.3\mc_enc_hevc.dll". "Close your other applications, make sure you have write access to this location and that there is enough free space on your hard drive. Alternatively, try deleting the folder C:\users\publicx\documents\AdobeInstalledCodecsTier2 and restarting the application." When I then click OK, I get the following message: "This file requires the HEVC codec, which is included with a Creative Cloud membership. To upgrade to a paid membership, go to   I've checked everything, and I have write access to the locations. There's also more than enough disk space. In fact, last weekend there were no problems with these files in the same version of Adobe Premiere (25.5) and Adobe Media Encoder (25.6). I also have a Creative Cloud membership. It's a subscription every year. 

i dont think i ever once needed adobe to tell me that if i delete all the keyframes it will delete all the key frames... its really annoying everytime i want to clear the keyframes it warns me i am about to do exactly as i had planned to do. is there a way to disable this? 

Hi everyone, I’m developing a CEP extension for Premiere Pro 2022. The workflow of the extension is roughly as follows: I prepare several .prproj files (each containing sequences with certain effects) and store them in a presets directory. My CEP panel allows users to freely import any of these preset .prproj files, and the extension will insert the chosen sequence into the current project as an adjustment-layer. I’m using the importSequences() API. TikTok users like to use Alight Motion App; oscillate effect (w/ graph and keyframed) plus exposure (/w grap keyframed) and sync it to background music. I'm trying to import footage that was shot on the Alexa 35 Xtreme in Arri's new ARRICORE codec but I get the Error Message: Unsupported format or damaged file. Is there something I'm missing? According to Arri's webside I should be able to edit ARRICORE footage without any transcoding. I'm able to work with this footage in both Davinci Resolve and in Arri's Reference Tool.  I'm using the latest version of Premiere [25.5.0] on M1 Pro - Macbook Pro with latest MacOS installed [26.0.1] How can I work with ARRICORE footage in Premiere without any transcoding?
