Idea 2 of 4, for the captioning and transcription features in Premiere. Idea: Word-by-word captioning. the ability to generate captions based on number of words not just number of characters. This feature would allowe users to create single-word captions, and demonsrate a popular fast-paced captioning style, often seen on TikTok. Mod note: Title changed slightly.
I need help! Any video I export to X looks terrible. I look at other videos on X and they look ok. What am I doing wrong? What should I set my export settings to for optimal quality on X?
Hi all, Is there currently a way to programatically import our own transcripts (either as SRTs or JSON) into Premiere for use in the text editing feature? The Premiere transcription process is great, but we'd like to use our own transcription data. If not, will this be available on the roadmap anytime soon?
How can I access the alignment tools for captions? In v25.0, the Properties panel only shows audio and pan options when selecting captions. I need to center-align captions across a 25-minute timeline but cannot find text alignment tools or the "Align and Transform" section. Resetting the workspace didn’t resolve the issue.
I understand that after some version (I think 24.4) the scroll behavior has changed. This disrupted my workflow where I need to do manual tracking while scrubbing through the timeline. I need help figuring out a new efficient way to manually track things (move my mask around) all while navigating through frames. To explain my needs better: I use a gaussian blur effect + mask to anonymize some heads. I'd use the automatic tracking for it, however, I've found that this not only loses track of the head easily, especially when there is a lot of movement and angle changes, but also doesn't really track the way I want it to track. (My requirement is to cover the entire head not just the face at all times) For this reason, I've had to manually track at times when there is a lot of movement. The way I used to do it was: 1. mouse over mask on program monitor2. scroll thru frames using mouse scroll3. adjust mask accordingly4. repeat. I understand that sc
Everything always worked ok until Premiere decided to randomly start glitching any clip I import. The clips are completely fine normally, but in Premiere the playback is terrible and all the renders end up broken. Here's a bunch of things that I already tried to do, with no succesfull result: -reinstalling graphics card drivers -fully clearing media cache and resetting all preferences -reinstalling premiere pro -installing and older version of premiere pro -Setting premiere to work in Hardware optimization mode or whatever that's called I really need this for work so If someone could help me with this It would be amazing. Also, here's a video of me going trough the glitchy timeline: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1I7-eINX64
Browser & Device type: Mac Book Pro M1 Max, Adobe Premiere is updated, media cache has been cleared.Issue: When I go to edit a caption in the text window, there is about a 30 sec. delay/lag when I'm done editing for it to allow me to continue working. This started recently, a few weeks ago. I've never had this issue previously. This has been happening on multiple files. I wanted to ensure it wasn't just the one I was working on initially. Steps to reproduce:Ran a transcript.Ran for captions.Edit a caption and when I go to continue playing the video or edit the next caption, there is a 30-sec delay. Expected result: There is no delay, I can click anywhere to continue working and it works within a second.Actual result: 30-second delay to access any other part of premiere. It's messing with my workflow and my patience, so any suggestions would be helpful.
Hello, I just discovered something and would like to learn more about it. The thing is, let's say I added a rec709 conversion LUT to all log recorded clips and would like to make some grading. Most of the time, I'm using and adjustment layer and makings changes on it to make sure all timeline is graded because the other way is very time-consuming. But the problem is, grading looks very different when I add it onto an adjustment layer than on the clip itself. Am I missing something here, or is it just a bug? Thanks!
About half an hour after restarting my computer, videos begin to flicker and play at double speed. The audio becomes choppy, as if the computer is skipping frames. For example, a 6-second clip plays in about 3 seconds. This happens with all types of files, codex, frame rates or resolutions, in the source window as well as the program monitor. All my drivers are up to date.I'm using Premiere Pro 25, but the same issue occurred in versions from the past six months. Closing and reopening the software doesn't help. Only restarting the computer temporarily fixes it, but even then, the problem returns after about 30-60 minutes.OS is windows 11 proI have 64GB RAMI have 12th Gen intel(R) Core(TM)i7-12700K, 3600Mhz,12 cores, 20 logical processorsI have an Nvidia G Force GTX 1070 as well as an Intel UHD Graphics 770( a small GPU inside the processor).I have a dell U2415 screen with 59.95Hz refresh rate.motherboard is: Gygabyte B660M DS3H DDR4the hard disks are:WDC WD40EZRZ-00GXCB0 and ADATA SX8200
Good afternoon. I have never used any video editing software but have a question about whether what I want to achieve is possible. Please bear with me since I am a complete novice and will use terms to describe what I want to achieve that may not align with industry-understood language. This is what I want to do: Put as simply as I posssibly can, I want to shoot a video of a road I'm travelling down but then replace modern elements in that video with elements from a different period. My camera is facing forwards , following the road. I know I can shoot the video of me going down this road, of course. It's the rest... Once I have shot my video I then want to remove unwanted things in that video such as (modern) street lighting, road signs and telegraph poles. I appreciate that a video is made up of thousands of frames and that removing elements that continuously change in size as the camera approaches them might simply be just impossible. If it's pssible to remo
So I've tried all the recommendations from Adobe site(Software exporting, lower quality, disabling decoding, etc), but my program keeps crashing. I tried Media Encoder and it's also crashing. I don't know what to do. I'll add the link to the crash report https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hT0K__RhRH0ogq1PsAuAQwWZQ2erfdQB/view?usp=sharing
Good Day I use Paste insert as a shortcut often, and suddenly it does not work. I select a clip in the source panel, it has in or out points selected, or usually it will just 'Paste Insert" the full clip, but it is all greyed out if I go to the EDIT drop down menu... please help. I have attached a screen shot.
My video has two scrolling texts back to back. I need them to scroll at different rates, thus the two scrolling texts. The first text set runs all the way to the top at the end before the second one starts, so I end up with a black screen for a couple of seconds. Is there a way to avoid this?
On premiere pro, in a clip I added both the horizontal transformation and lumetri coloring, but by activating these, when I go to modify the speed in slow motion in the clip with ''optical flow'', the slow motion does not appear fluid, but at a few fps. In fact, usually you just need to render the clip and everything works, but not with the effects.By removing the 2 effects, the slow motion goes smoothly without problems. Now, is there any setting to fix or I just can't do it? Thanks in advance.
Hello, first day I'm using premiere pro.just imported an animated gif and placed in timeline, duplicated many times to continue looping during the video clip.however when the gif ends there is a little pause before to restart playing. I just tried with two different video editors (davinci and final cut) and no issues.i'm on mac m2 and premiere pro 24any idea please?
In the latest Premier 2025 version, the selection tool is no longer able to reposition photos or videos on the screen. Is there a solution to this without having to do it in the effects panel?
I'm working with a wave file in Premier Pro and deleting the noise in between the pauses of the speaker. For some reason I can't remove the bad clicks in a pause even though I cut and delete the clip as I've always done. As I listen through the empty space the sound still exists there, as is it's fading on it's own into the speakers clip. I tried lowering the volume to nothing, still there. I cut it on both side and deleted it, still there. I isolated and used all the noise reduction, dehumer, denoise, with volume turned off. NOTHING. I rrestarted multiple times. nada. What am I missing here? How can I not get rid of this in the pause. It seems to be a new issue.
Usually when the video is playing in the timeline, I can reposition the playhead without needing to pause the video with spacebar. However, it seems if I zoom in or out witt alt + scroll while the video is playing, I am no longer able to move the playhead without pausing. I've attached a video below showing the issue.
As the title says, I am dropping frames on all footage in Premiere Pro 2020. I put an unedited, no effects, no graphics clip into the sequence timeline, hit the space bar and get a very choppy playback. It consistently drops frames. It has been an issue for a few months now, but wasn't an issue before that. I am running Premiere Pro on an Eluktroniks RP-17.Ryzen 7 4800HNvidia RTX 2060 Mobile (110 Watt variant)16 GB of 3200 Ram1TB Intel M.2 I have created proxies and gone to Pro Res for editing and I have the same issue. I have searched high and low across Google for answers to no avail. I still have the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm a novice Premiere Pro user who usually imports and exports single clips, so today when I am trying to assemble a file from multiple clips, I tried to include transitions. I tried to drag and drop transitions from the video effects panel onto my timeline, but I get a small icon overlaid by a circle with a diagonal line, indicating that the action can't be done. I've looked at the Adobe support page and this should be a no-brainer, but I can't figure out this simple thing. I have tried rendering the file, but this didn't solve the problem. I am able to apply Lumetri color adjustments to the clips as usual. What gives? What simple thing am I missing?Running OS 10.14.2 on an iMac.
Man, Productions is nice, but boy is it full of maddening issues. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I'm trying to move a sequence from one project to my Sequences project. Both are under the Production's auspices. The sequences have different names. When I drag Sequence B into the Sequences project it deletes Sequence A from that project. It's like Sequence B is Single White Female-ing Sequence A. I need both sequences! Why does the presence of one eliminate the other, and how can I fix this?

What is this little grey area underneath the ruler in my timeline? How do I get rid of it? it has these two blue bars at the beginning and end of my timeline where I can adjust the in and out point of my timeline...I don't want it there lol.To clarify there's a yellow line below the area I'm referring to
Has anybody experienced this very bizarre problem with Premiere Pro CC 2015.0.2? (I'm using Mac OS X 10.10.5.)Several times per day while working with Premiere Pro, the "linked selection" option randomly stops working. The only solution that I have found for this is to completely quit & relaunch Premiere Pro... but then the problem comes back a little while later. The problem is this: Even though the "Linked Selection" option is selected for my timeline, if I click on a video clip, the linked audio clip DOES NOT automatically select with it! If I click on an audio clip, the linked video clip DOES NOT automatically select with it! Even if I hold down the option key, the video & audio clips will not select together. This happens for ALL THE CLIPS IN THE ENTIRE SEQUENCE! I am forced to quit & relaunch Premiere Pro, and then the problem is fixed... for a little while. Please see the 2 screenshots below. The 1st screenshot shows WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN when I select either a linked vide
