Hi! I'm working on a music video right now, and wondered how I would remove the mark in and mark out setting on the sequence? It's not causing any huge problems, but it's just not necessary for the project I'm working on, and it's more of just a nuisance than anything else. Thanks in advance! 

Good day, About a month ago I went in to use the write-on effect and couldn't find it. After some search I found a YouTube video where the guy showed how to add these missing effects (Obsolete Files) and included a link to download them. This was strange but I was glad to have found it. However, I found that everytime since, when I start a new project I have to reinstall these effects. Now today, I have tried and tried and it will not allow me to add them. I even updated to Pr 25 and still no luck. Does anyone know how to add them in a way that they stay? I tried going through Program Files and I was not sure where to add them so I didn't want to mess it up. Using Windows (unfortunetly)Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900X CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHzInstalled RAM: 64 GBWindows: 11 ProVersion: 23H2Pr version: 25.0.0 (Build 61) - this has been happening since last version of 24 Thanks in advance!

I've just updated to the latest Premiere and am struggling to find the option to assign a particular style to text after saving style presets. This used to be in the settings part of Essential Graphics. Apparently most of those effects have moved to the normal Effects Controls which was long overdue, but I can't see this anywhere.

Hello everyone, I havent posted here before, but I have been banging my head against the wall. I have a desktop PC that I use to edit videos on premiere. The footage is 4k, 10 bit 4:2:0, and shot on a sony a7siii. I had a pc built that should be able to handle that footage so that I dont have to create proxies (I have to edit a lot for work), but almost without fail after using premiere for about 30 minutes the program gets really choppy. The issue is that when I drag the playhead around the image takes a few seconds to load, and when I click things they only appear a few seconds after. Sometimes it freezes on a frame completely and I have to restart the program. When it's really bad its nearly impossible to get anything done.Would love any help on this as I've been through a bunch of posts on here and on reddit but nothing is helping. I dont experience this in any other use scenarios, but I don't do many other demanding tasks on my PC, the most was when I was playing baldur's gate 3 a

I had several problems after updating my MacBook Pro M1 Max to Sequoia 15.0, with Premiere crashing every 2 minutes - and sometimes on startup when there was some Chromatic Aberration/Turbulent Displace at my playhead. I tought the pain was over after the new 2025 Update but it's even worse. I can't deliver a project I'm working on cause I can't open the project. It's embarassing.  Is it a CPU problem? does anyone else have the same problem? I was thinking about upgrading - even though i have a maxed out M1 Max - but I want to wait till M4 comes out.

Is there a down side to running the Warp effect on a clip, exporting it, then using the stablized version to edit the clip?  I just hate working on a jittering clip!

So I have footage from an event that I filmed, on my computer the files are named lets say 0001, 0002 and so on. Now here is my issue, when I import the clips into Premiere Pro, all clips show on my timeline in name. However when playing the footage in Premiere Pro, 0001 and 0002 will playback as exactly the same clip when its not. The footage looks differnt in file explorer than in Premiere Pro for lets say 0002. So to be clear, in file explorer 0002 is its own clip and 0001 is a differnt clip, but on my timeline its the same clip. Why is this happening.  Note I clear my cache every week, and cleared it before I started on this project.

hello, I have updated to the premiere pro 2025 version, but the mogrts that worked smoothly in earlier versions are currently having problems, adding photos cannot be done. In the projects left over from previous versions, the ones in the timeline field are working, but when I want to make a new addition, the addition cannot be made.

Hello,   Whoever reads this, I hope it finds you well...   I'm working in Premiere Pro 2018 and I'm trying to move my captions further down so that they are in the black bar on the bottom.   I don't want them over any video above the black bar.     I heard there might be a safe box or something - Sorry, I'm sure that's probably the wrong term for it - and, if that's true...   Is there a way to adjust the safe box so I can actually move my captions lower?   It seems I just need to be able to increase my y value higher  but I can seem to raise it, either with my mouse or by typing in values.   Perhaps, this is tied to the safe area limitations? I think the highest I was able to get the Y value was 14 - Sorry, I know the screenshot says 8.     I know I can do this with titling and, if I have to, I will do that..but I wanted the viewer to have the option to turn the captions off. Hi there,I have recently been creating some motion graphics templates on After Effects to use in Premiere Pro but I am having trouble expanding the text box that is created when you select "Source Text" as a modifier.As you can see even though there is only test text in there, I can't actually see the end of the text box which makes it very frustrating when trying to type out long paragraphs. Ich habe eine Sequenz in deutsch transkribiert. Wenn ich nun ein Transkript für textbasierte Bearbeitung generieren möchte, wechselt die Sprache plötzlich auf Englisch. Bei einer 30minütigen Sequenz dauert dies nur zwei Sekunden, das englische Tarnskript muss also im Hintergrund schon vorliegen. Neu transkribieren hilft nicht. Bei anderen Sequenzen im selben Projekt, die ich ebenfalls in deutsch transkribiert habe, taucht dieer Fehler nicht auf.

Hello all, I am trying to transcribe a wav. clip into premiere pro.  I've done it hundreds of times for may videos with no problems what so ever.   But now the file is being recognized, but isn't popping up when I transcribe it.  It is only transcribing the video clip which has very little audio. I've retranscribe it multiple times and it's still just showing a transcript from the video file.  I've also unistalled and reinstalled premiere so please don't reccommned that. Thank you

Hello everyone! Hoping someone can help me with the following... I'm doing some basic editing in Premier Pro, but when playing the video, parts seem corrupt, almost like a colour leak. This is happening on all/ most of the videos I am editing from this day. When playing the raw videos on another application, like QuickTime, they are showing as fine with no issues. I've cleared my Cache, turned off High Quality Playback, and lowered the playback resolution to no avail. Any help will be much appreciated! 🙌

I hate it when adobe updates every year. I always lose key fundemantal editing features that they remove for no reason.

Hello, my friends.Sumpin' ain't right. The spinning wheel is in town.I have 48 GB allotted for Creative Cloud in my M1 MacBook Pro using external SSD drives, and I usually have only Premiere Pro open. I frequently clear my media caches.I close Lumetri Scopes and Lumetri Color when they're not in use. My program monitor plays at 1/4 resolution.I often will turn on/off Global FX---and this one thing DOES seem to help. But every few minutes I STILL feel some lag. I am (currently) using a mix of 4k footage from an iPhone and other .mov and .mp4 files. What could I possibly be missing? I've tried moving all elements to a new sequence---sometimes, MAYBE, I think, this helps a bit. But overall...something, somewhere, is lagging---and has felt this way for, I dunno, months---not just with Premiere Pro 2025. Suddenly I'm missing the "Luma Curve" effect in my Video Effects panel. Anyone else having this problem? The effect is still active on shots I've previously edited and in my timeline, but it's missing in the panel. How can I either get it back, or how can I find the original "Luma Curve" effect file on a mac?

Hello, I have noticed that the difference matte is gone on Premiere Pro. What happened to it, and Is there a replacement effect? Thanks!

Hi, I'm using latest version of Premier, while editing, I tried importing clips however my clips are distorted, tried playing it on vlc and it works perfectly fine, but on premiere pro, clips are graphically messed up. Hope someone could help if I should enable something on my settings or disable. thank you

I'm editing in Premiere 2024 and have a UHD 23.976 sequence that I'm exporting. Sequence timecode start is at 00:00:00:00 and ends at 01:01:36:07. I've got closed captioning files that play in sync with the image in Premiere, with final caption ending at 01:01:33:23. But when I export SRT files as sidecar files and open them up to check them in TextEdit, they have the final caption ending at 01:01:37,652, which is a) different and b)exceeds my video file length. And if I import the SRT file back into Premiere it identifies it in the project window as having a duration of 01:01:37:19 and being a 30.00 fps file. Am I missing something obvious? Why is this all so out of whack? 

Having big problems with version 25.0.Open a project to work in it, the project opens fine, but then after 1- 2 minutes Premiere Pro will crash. Sometimes I manage to make a change in the project - other times I don't even change anything, PP will just crash. The project was originally created in version 24.x The project is large - a 1hr+ interview with several morph cuts. (The morph cuts were mostly ok in the old version btw, just needed a bit of tweaking.) I can no longer access 24.x as while trying to fix this issue myself reinstalled all my adobe creative cloud apps and tried repairing the creative cloud desktop app. (Adobe removes access to older versions if you do this.) I'd like to try any of the following1 - find out how to get back the previous version of premiere proor2 - ?? suggestions??  Version of the app: 25.0Platform and OS version: Windows 11 Pro, 23H2, 64 bit Basic steps to reproduce the problem: Open a project and try to get som

Olá gente, atualizei os apps ontem e agora eu usar o premiere, só dá tilt.Ele não permite que eu abra a aba EFEITOS.É só clicar nela que o app fecha. já reinstalei 3 vezes, limpei as preferencias anteriores, reiniciei o mac e nada. preciso editar um vídeo e estou sofrendo com isso. Alguma ajuda?

Many years ago when I first got my Mac, I bought Premiere. I used it for a while but then I found Final Cut X, and liked it so much that I got a bit carried away and deleted Premiere. Silly move, really.   Well, the other day I was searching my Mac for old files and I found the serial number that I had for Premiere, saved as an rtf.   So, I thought I might as well go back and get Premiere again, since I already owned it, and add it to my NLEs. Unfortunately, I found that it's no longer available, having been replaced by Premiere Pro.   Now, I don't want Premiere enough to buy a whole new version, I just want my old one to use occasionally when I need some of its features. But I've read elsewhere here that you can't get Premiere ever again, even if you've already bought and paid for it..   Is this in fact the case? Is there any way to get that previous purchased program back?    Thanks.
