Now every time I try to open the program I get the error message "An error has been detected with a required application library or file and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."  It does not work even if I reinstall the program. So what happens? How to deal with it? (My system is Win 10)

The License Agreement keeps keeps opening on each use -- even after I accept. I am a single user on one PC.

Hi Acrobat friends:   Has Adobe Acrobat ever had the ability to natively spell-check content, or has it always been limited to comments and fields, without third party assistance?   I found this online but only in one location and no confirmation elsewhere so am skeptical:   The software has a built-in spell check functionality. Hi, I use Adobe Acrobat on Windows and want to navigate back to the location of my last edit. Alt/Ctrl + left/right arrow keys only bring me to the next or previous page. Does anyone know a shortcut that would take me back to the spot where I made my last change?

I have made a Dynamic Stamp and the background is black, and I can barely see the lettering.  When I send the PDF document to another user, she sees a light blue background and can read the lettering.  There has to be a simple way for me to change the background so that I can see the same thing, but I have yet to find it.Attached is a PDF of the screen shot showing the black background. A lot of boardgame publishers provide PDFs of their instruction manuals.  These are rarely a standard page size, and often a standard size won't fit in the box. The white boarders of a full-size, printed manual can be cut off, but then it either needs stapled in the top corner (like a report) or stapled on an edge.  Both of those are ugly options. Printing them as a booklet could be a solution.  Booklets of full, letter size documents come out really nice. Unfortunately, Acrobat centers each of the smaller-than-letter pages inside a white boarder instead of connecting the printed areas in the center of the paper and bordering just the outsides. Thus, the booklet doesn't print in a way to make a nice booklet.  Even if I cut down the outer edges, there is a weird-looking white "spine" (i.e. the red box in the image). How can I "mush" the pages together so that when printed, it will make a nice booklet?  So it prints like this:Thanks!

We have very long filenames so the description column would be pretty handy to let people know which doc is which considering they all start with job number and client name and look the same when truncated in the "Name" column How do I edit the Description column, I tried entering text in all of the meta data fields I could find, none of them showed up in the portfolio document list In the picture below I would like the Description column to read as:CONTRACTBID SUBMISSIONSPECIFICATIONADDENDUM #1ADDENDUM #2  

HiI am recognizing text in a scanned document. The text is fine, however Acrobat is spending time and introducing wrong text when tries to recognize text on some diagrams and figures in the scanned document. Can those figures be marked to be skipped by OCR?Thanks

First let me say that I have read many posts on this topic and watched YouTue videos and none of them seem to work for the latest version of Acrobat DC.  I created a document with some text highlighted  in September 2015 using Acrobat DC and now in November of 2015, I cannot remove the highlighting no matter what I do.  Sometimes I will see the "Delete Highlighting" option when I right click after selecting the text, but even when I select that option, it will not remove the highlighting.Any ideas??? (I am definitely out of them!)Thanks in advance for any assistance!!

I recently installed Acrobat on my Windows 11 machine and I hate the new view / layout. I want to see the document outline on the left, page display controls on top, and in general I want to have things look the way they used to. I tried searching around for an answer on how to revert Acrobat to the old view. I found some solutions - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-do-i-go-back-to-the-old-acrobat/td-p/14032104 , but it seems those old answers don't work anymore in the new version of Acrobat, there is no "Disable new Acrobat" option under "View" anymore... So how do I make things work the way they used to?

The ability to drag and drop files to combine no longer works for some users.  When files are dragged into the dialog box, files are opened and then the option to combine all open files pops up.  You can also add files by clicking the "add file" button.  This is not as efficient as the drag and drop option.  Does anyone know what's going on?

I'm looking for some help with the formatting of text within a text field in a form. I'd like to set the tracking — also sometimes known as letterspacing, i.e. the space between each letter in a given string of text — of the text that the user enters. Unfortunately my searches for text tracking return results relating to track changes, so I'm unable to find what I'm looking for. I'd like a solution which genuinely formats the tracking value of the text, not a workaraound like adding a space character between each character entered into the form. If it is possible to do using Javascript, I do not mind whether it is a Custom format script or a Custom keystoke script. If it is not possible to implement using Javascript, I'd be interested in knowing whether it is possible to set the tracking value in another way. As far as I can see, there is no way of changing the tracking within the standard formatting options. Thanks for reading!

I’m trying to convert a scanned statement into Excel using Adobe Acrobat Pro, but the numbers are not being detected correctly. In many cases, multiple numbers are being merged into a single cell. I’ve already tried using the Scan & OCR feature followed by exporting to Excel, but the issue persists.Interestingly, Able2Extract is able to recognize the tables accurately and convert them into Excel with much better formatting.Is there a way to achieve similar results using Adobe Acrobat Pro? Are there any advanced settings or tricks that could help improve table recognition and preserve the correct cell structure?Thank you!

Greetings.  I have an Adobe cloud subscription and understand when I download acrobat, it should install the version called for. I am thinking I should have the full version that used to have other names. When I double click on a pdf in file manager which has an acrobat icon so is the default,, it opens but the interface is different and it starts doing an AI analysis of the document. Sometimes could be helpful but by default, I just want it to open so I can print immediately. Or another one to ask, get the toolbar and full interface back. Is there a setting that allows this to happen?  Thanks,BJBBJB1

I have a PDF I exported from inDesign that is 2.4MB before I add the videos to it. After adding the videos in Acrobat (because I can't figure out how to in inDesign), and then compressing the PDF, it's 52.4MB. I need it to be 7MB. How can I do this, either in Acrobat or inDesign?

In an Acrobat form, I want the text to be a max of 10pt, but reduce to make it fit if necessary. Is this possible? 

Hello, we have ECC Smartcards to sign documents with qualified electronic signatures following the EU eIDAS Standard. Therefore the Smartcards were issued from Telesec PKS. The Smartcards are working, we have signed several files with other software. When loading the required PKCS#11 modules we are able to see the certificate from the smartcard in Acrobat DC. But when we try to sign a file using this certificate we get the error that we are using an unsupported algorithm.    Does anyone know why we cannot sign documents with the smartcard? Following this page https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/DigSigDC/standards.html we should be able to use ECDSA elliptic curve P256 with digest algorithm SHA256 which i guess means SHA256 ECDSA. Many thanks in advanceMax

Hallo, Für eine A4-Broschüre möchte die Druckerei ein PDF für die komplette Rückseite, bestehend aus U4 im Format A4, Rückenschild im Format 3 mm x 297 mm und U1 im Format A4, insgesamt also 423 x 297 mm. Die 3 dafür erforderlichen EInzel-PDFs habe ich. Wenn ich mit einem simplen Zusammenfügen beginne, wird automatisch für das Gesamtdokument das Format A4 gewählt und das schmale Rückenteil als eigene Seite mit 3 mm Breite und A4-Höhe dargetsellt, und die beiden anderen Seiten werden auch als Einzelseiten dargestellt. Wie kann ich ein leeres PDF-Dokument erstellen, in das ich die 3 Dokumente hereinziehe, um den Durckinhalt des äußeren Umschlags darzustellen? Oder welche Methode kann ich sonst anwenden, um diese 3 Inhalte in verschiedenen Formaten nebeneinander in ein PDF mit neuem Gesamtformat zu bringen? Freue mich auf jede Antwort, die Online-Hilfe hatte jedenfalls keine.

HiI have just bought Adobe Pro because i need to edit text on a PDF. However, whenever I open any PDF, the PDF page suddenly turns black with a white box in the middle, and i can't do anyhting. I have paid 25 dollars for access to PDF editor pro, can someone explain to me what is going on? how can I solve this problem?(image attached)

Hello, (I don't speak English, Google translation) At my company, I had the old version of Adobe Acrobat Pro (I think 2019), and they updated it to Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2024.003.20112 64-bit. The problem is that in the old version, when splitting the document, it allowed me to select the "same folder" option with the "bookmark names" option. Now, in the new version, I can't do that. The "same folder" option is there, but when I select it, it blocks the "bookmark names" option. Therefore, the task of splitting PDFs becomes much longer and tedious. Selecting the folder manually takes time due to the excessive number of folders and PDF files to split. Does anyone know of a way to revert this change and be able to select the same folder and keep the "bookmark names" option?
