Hi. Since the last Windows 10 update, when I try to print a PDF with Adobe 8 from either Word or PowerPoint, it prints a Notepad file instead with the error message below. When I print a Word document with Ariel font, it works fine, but not with Calibri, and almost all my files use Calibri. Please anyone help with a solution to this problem. I do a weekly job on Sunday afternoon formatting a newsletter in Word. The document contains links, so if I save it from Print, the links are lost. I was using Save As... until recently I realized that it was damaging some of the links, so that they went to the wrong bookmark or nowhere at all.Someone at Adobe I chatted with said I should use the Ribbon menu for creating PDFs, instead of Save As. That worked for a few weeks, but now it's giving me errors."Adobe PDF conversion could not be completed due to a service error. Please try again."It always says it's saving to the cloud, and I wonder if the cloud storage filled up. But I don't know where it is. I really want it to save to my hard drive, not the cloud, but there doesn't seem to be any way to change that.I need this done TODAY and Adobe support is closed. I hope someone can help.

When I print a PDF saved document is always prints on both sides of the paper.     How do I turn this off. 

I've been creating fillable forms for my work. I've created guided actions with JavaScript to set a specific font and font size for all fields. When I select the guided action and 'start' I get the following security warning: "This operation required Acrobat to have write access to the filesystem. Do you want to allow this operation?" Should I allow this? Are there any security risks if I allow the operation and distribute the forms to my colleagues and the public? Cheers 🙂

Hi Adobe Community,I'm working on a custom CUPS printer backend for macOS and have encountered an issue specifically when printing from Adobe Acrobat.In the Acrobat print dialog, there's a checkbox labeled “Print in grayscale (black and white)”. When a user checks this box and prints, I don't see any standard CUPS job option (like ColorModel, color, or cupsColorMode) passed to the backend. However, when users instead go into Printer > Printer Features > Color Mode and select "Grayscale", that option does correctly appear as ColorModel=Gray in the job options.This makes it difficult to accurately capture the user’s color intent when the grayscale checkbox is used.I'm trying to understand:Does this checkbox actually send any distinguishable job option to the backend?Or does it flatten the PDF to grayscale before sending, making it impossible to detect via job options?Has anyone found a reliable method to infer if this checkbox was used — maybe through PDF content inspection, intern

Please help. I'm currently reviewing for a board exam, and was using my Acrobat Premium to do drawings and highlights on PDF files, but they tend to go missing. It's very inconvenient. 

I've read through the posts that I can find but they all say that its a browser issue.  I'm in adobe acrobat and keep getting this error message EVERYTIME I save a pdf as a pfd/a.  The files open ok but this error message is annoying as I do this 50 times a day....Can anyone please help?  Running Win10 Pro.  I'd really like to get this fixed!

Hello...  I want to put a portfolio document up into Google Docs, and I'd like to make one of the images be able to change to show a variant of it when a prospective employer's cursor is over it. Is there a way to do this, preferable without spending money since I am, as they say, between jobs? I construct my doc in Pages, and then export it to a PDF, which is then uploaded to Google Docs.  Thank you much! Keith

I'm trying to have space to enter information into two text fields ("First" and "Last") which then merges those into one field ("FullName") on a PDF document. I can get the information to load in when I first enter it, but then when I go back to try and change the original boxes the "FullName" box won't update. Here is the JavaScript I've been using:event.value = this.getField("First").value + " " + this.getField("Last").value; Any help is appreciated!

I have created a pdf form with fillable fields. I have emailed it out as an attachment to other users. They fill it out and email it back to me. I can see their answers on my computer screen. When I print the form out, the fields are all blank. How do I make them print? I did a test and sent the form to myself using Adobe Sign and that did print. I really don't want to have to send these forms out that way as sending it as an attachment is much easier. Is there a way to make the forms print showing the answers in the fillable fields?

The Edit tab of Adobe Acrobat does not fuction. I have tried reinstalling, but this does not work. How can I solve this? Thank you! 

Using latest version of Acrobat DC (2021.007.20091).When I navigate from page to page in a multi-page PDF, the page flickers between the previous and current pages several times very quickly before stabilising and showing the correct content. Once cached this behaviour stops.At first I thought it might be a graphics card issue, but having done a hardware test Apple says there is no problem.Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm using new subscription copy Acrobat Pro DC - 2017 release. Here is my issue with images that I have inserted into a document.  I have an image that I convert to PDF.  It fills the page.  I then insert two or three images over the top of that one.  In most cases when I am in the edit function, as I hover my mouse over the image I can select, move, drag resize etc.  Then I move to the 'comments" dialog and add a few text boxes, arrows etc.  Then I decide to go back and re-size or move the smaller overlaid images.  I select edit text and images.  I see message "performing page recognition"...converting scanned image".    Here is where it acts sporadically. Sometimes it allows me to select and move the image normally ( hover my mouse over the image and I see the icon that it is an image.) But other times it behaves as though the overlaid image has "melded" to the large image it was inserted over.  Nothing I can do seems to let

Hello everyone,  I just purchased acrobat pro DC  2020  from a webiste other than Adobe and I was wondering how to add the left side pane tools to my interface. I would also apprecite it if someone could tell me their proper names so I can at least try to find them. Thanks!

I have seen several cases around concerning this same or similar issue, is there a fix that works? Every time a PDF file is opened, we get this pop up its very annoying and slows down daily tasks. We have tried going to Preferences>General>Show me messages from/to Adobe and uncheck "Show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat” Each time this is disabled its turned back on again!  We have checked and uncheck compatibility mode under Properties of the application shortcut with no luck.There are no new updates pending for the user’s machine, they are running version Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) 25.001.20474

Printing to Adobe PDF is not working. When I try to print a form in Acrobat to Adobe PDF printer, Acrobat freezes ("not responding") for 10 seconds and then the printing progress will show that it went through. However, it doesn't actually save the PDF anywhere. This is happening from Chrome browser too. I've been using Microsoft Print to PDF (in Acrobat) and Print to PDF (in Chrome) as workarounds, but I prefer Adobe PDF. I have the updated version of Acrobat DC 25.001.20474. Repairing the installation didn't identify or fix the issue. 

I've created a form and it has some font issues. I've made other forms that behave properly with the same font. I've been exploring options for what might be wrong, and I think it could be that some of the forms fonts are not showing as embedded. I used the default of Minion Pro. Is there a way to change these non-embedded fonts to embedded? 

I have a pdf document that is 330 MB. I open it in Acrobat pro, replace a page with only text in it (not images), and close the document. Acrobat asks me to save before closing. I chose "Save" and when it finishes, the document file size is reduced to 40 MB!!The same thing has happened before and I cannot figure out what causes that.These are pdf files I have to send for printing, and I cannot reduce the file size so much!Any ideas??Thanks!

the printing press is giving me this error, how can I take care of it through acrobat? 

I can watch the application attempt to start in Task Manager, and then it dumps out with no visual evidence to the user that anything has happened. She can sign in on another computer and the application with run as the first time startup but, thereafter, the program will not open again. I can long onto the very same computer after her and the program start and runs normally. Whatever this issue, it's contained in the user profile. i am trying to use adobe acrobat pro (latest version) to create one pdf. But the pdf needs to be as small as possible. so i am trying to get the font which takes least amount of space when used. which font usage is suggested ? (i am currently using courier new)
