I have a PDF that was given to me to make some minor text edits.  I don't have the original doc.I open the PDF in Acrobat DC, then choose Edit PDF.  The text in the document is inside various boxes, as you expect.  I have the Show Bounding Boxes option checked.  But there is this one bit of text that I cannot select.  It doesn't have a bounding box around it, so I can't do anything with this text.  Is this a bug in Acrobat?  Is there any way to fix this?  I tried exporting to Word, but formatting gets so messed up, it isn't a good option.  I would be happy to put a box with some text over the text I can't edit, but you cannot set a background color in a bounding box, at least not that I can find.

I'm trying to locate the update files for Acrobat Pro 9.x but am having a bit of trouble trying to find them. I was curious if anyone happened to have a copy of the update files for Acrobat Pro 9.x or knew where to obtain them. I tried accessing the FTP server in hopes to obtain the files but I cannot seem to get it to work.ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/

Hello, Having relied on adobe systems for many years without major problems however since adobe has clearly leaned into ai i've been experienceing problems accessing important functionality. I know this is a result of ai because last year i was targeted by goverment and whom i believe were big business affiliated hackers. i know this sounds crazy. a bunch of ai was used against me on my devices so i know how these ai systems work.  i was developing a face swapping website when i was investigated.  big business is working to agitate many of us and they are working to divide us too. i work in the wonderful world of adult entertainment. last year i had some end of the goverment investigating my business since then adobe has been systemically working to agitate and regulaly deny me access to core functionality such as request signature. All similar platforms are becoming driven by corrupted ai. the big business machine is extremely manipulative. imagine how you could try to dimni

Hello Adobe Community, I am helping one of my users with overlapping text. We are downloading this from salesforce in chrome. It looks fine there and even doing a print to pdf keeps the text normal. The issue occurs when we open it in Adobe Acrobat Pro. The text seems to have jumped to the top and overlap each other. See jumbledText.jpg image for reference. I tried turning on the download pdfs option in chrome, repairing acrobat, and when that didn't help uninstalling and reinstalling the app. There are no new updates to be found. Our workaround right now is to upload them to the web and they come out fine. But I need to get them back up and running with the desktop app. It isn't every pdf, some still work oddly enough but these same pdfs work fine on my desktop adobe acrobat. Any ideas on how to fix it?

I had several page control/navigation tools disappear from my toolbar, which I keep on top and open. Partially directed by another post, I opened the "Comment" tool and found the missing tools at the bottom of the display. There is what looks like a horizontal ruler with 5 dots in it, this "moves page control into toolbar." That moved them all into the toolbar as I previously had. There is the same ruler to move them out of the toolbar, I must have accidently hit that at some point.  On another note, I wish they had never changed the UI and other features from Acrobate Pro 8 (might not be correct name). I could keep far more drawing tool icons (oval, text box, line, etc.) within the toolbar. Now I had to create a Custom Tool. This means a click and scroll to find things that used to be right on top! Hi, i want to use the AI Assistant and i need to enter GET STARTED or sign in first. but there is an error 12015 "Are you connected to the internet?". why is it happened since i was connected to my personal hotspot and has full bar line. How to solve it since i need to use Ai Assistant. 

I am trying to edit a PDF document using Acrobat DC (mac OS).   The PDF contains calibri font and I would like to use the same font, but it is showing as not available when I try to edit the document. I have activated calibri fonts using Adobe fonts but still no luck.   Any advice appreciated, thanks. 

Ich habe vor vielen Jahren eine Einzel-Schüler-Lizenz von Adobe Acrobat XI Pro erworben und diese damals aktiviert. In den vergangenen Jahren wurde und derzeit wird diese Version auf EINEM PC dauerhaft genutzt und auf einem weiteren, mittlerweile defekten PC installiert. Aus diesem Grund war es mir nicht möglich, die Lizenznummer auf diesem zu deaktivieren, was es mir im Moment leider nicht möglich macht, die Acrobat XI Pro Version, die für mich und meine Zwecke auch ohne Support ausreichend ist, auf meinem neuen PC zu aktivieren. Um aber die lebenslange Lizenz weiterhin auf zwei Rechnern nutzen zu können, würde ich - falls ein Adobe-Mitarbeiter diesen Beitrag liest - eine Ersatz-Lizenznummer für erforderlich halten. Möglicherweise gibt es aber auch eine andere Möglichkeit, wie ich Acrobat XI Pro auf einem zweiten Rechner nutzen kann? Ein Abo kommt wegen der beschränkten Nutzung nicht infrage. Hi all, Just wondering if there was in Adobe Sign if there was a way to stop Adobe from automatically creating these yellow boxes? This is a PDF with where each of the yellow boxes is an a editable fill in field. I did not create this document.

I can't close Acrobat or shut down computer! I have a paid Adobe sunscription.Why is this happening and what is th solve? 

   At my office, on my PC's acrobat when I select "Edit" acrobat will show me all the existing dialogue that I can edit within its own generated text boxes however when I select the "Add Text" function all of those boxes disappear allowing me to freely create my text anywhere on the document. I am trying to locate the setting(s)/Preference(s) that allows my PC's acrobat to have that functionality so I may replicate the settings on a coworkers computer as when I go through the same setup as above the text boxes do not disappear.

I would like to show a text field if the words "accrued dividends" are typed into another text field.  To complicate things, the words "accrued divedends" could be typed into one of 33 different text fields.  The 33 text fields are named B1, B2, B3...B33.  Thanks.

Prior to the latest update, my form fields would auto resize the text.I have had these same forms for years.Now all the fields default to scrolling & when I print the forms the text in the fields is cut off.How do I change this back to auto size?Also, cannot find how to change just the one field manually. If anyone from Adobe is reading these posts, this default change is unacceptable & changing font sizes should be made much simpler

I recently installed my Acrobat X Pro copy on my new Windows PC. After several times of using it, a window started popping up upon each use, saying that the serial number is invalid for Acrobat Pro (and a count-down for buying the product within 30 days). That never happened to me in prior installations (as I've had several computers changed since I orinally bought this product). I'm sure I have the right serial number.

I have three checkboxes - CB1, CB2 and CB3.  If both CB1 and CB2 are checked, I would like CB3 to be checked.  CB3 would remain unchecked if either CB1 or CB2 were unchecked, or if both CB1 and CB2 were unchecked.  Thanks.

I wanted to find a font that I only have found as an image.It is characterized by (if possible) one "limb" in the character is given half length,and that the round elements are made more "square-ish". To make it simpler I supplied two characters only "s" and "2".Adobe returned a great number of fonts, none with "limbs" like my sample. Can you recognize the font?Kind regards / Ake

Hello, I had purchased a long time ago the Adobe Professional Suite which included Adobe Professional 7.0, Creative Suite, etc. The only one I am really interested is the Adobe Professional 7.0. For some reason, Adobe told me that I had a license for Professional 8, but that was ten years ago and they no longer support it, have the download link, and I could upgrade for a monthly fee! I have my serial #, Acct. #, coupon code. Does anyone have a download link that I can use to re-download it on my new desktop pc? If not, is there a free program on-line or downlaodable that can create and edit pdfs?Thank You Kindly.Steve

Hi all, I have had an issue recently where some PDF files we download appear blank when opening them in Adobe Acrobat. However, any comments made to the document are visible. In my attempts to troubleshoot,  I noticed that the text and images applied to the PDF still exist, but appear blank for some reason. When clicking on a text box, highlighting it all and changing the font colour, I was then able to move my cursor across the entire page and all of the data would show as normal. It is also important to note that the PDF looks fine in preview, and when opening it in a web browser (Chrome). It also looks fine in Bluebeam, which is another PDF software we use at our company. I have attached some screenshots showing the expected appearance of the file (with some information blanked out obviously) along with what that information looks like in Adobe when it is first opened. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as we don't have the time to highlight things and

Need help removing these lines around the text.  I paid a resume writer a few years ago and now I want add some content, but these lines showed up and I can't figure out how to remove them.
