I’m running Adobe Acrobat Pro – Continuous Release Version 2025.001.20844 (Enterprise) and running into a consistent accessibility issue with tables. Even with the Tags panel showing the TH tags correclty, the Table Editor view does reflect this update. In other words:The Tags panel shows the correct structure (<Table> → <TR> → <TH>).But the left-hand Table Editor overlay still labels the cells as 2 large “TH” instead of the 9 or so "TH" it should be displayedHeader cells are not visually recognized in the table structure map.The structure map will not refresh. I have tried:Retagging the documentEditing TH/TD types directly in Table Cell PropertiesUsing the Reading Order toolClosing/reopening AcrobatRe-exporting from WordDrawing new tables in World I tried to delete the entire <Table> tag and force Acrobat to recreate the table via Reading Order → Table but I was getting errors and failure messages when trying to d o this. There was an update today that I am assuming caused this error. I have started recieving "an internal error occured" and I cannot open any existing PDF's on my computer. I have uninstalled & reinstalled Adobe pro multiple times and then I did the same with Creatiev Cloud including using their remover tool. I checked the security tools as recommended in multiple articles and they are all set to full control. I now cannot even open the program as an admin. It was previously only opening to blank pages (no tools or info available) but now it just won't open. I need customer service assistance or some tech help as I use this all day for my job.  TIA

Hi,I have a Validate button on a form that has an IF statement that says, if the required fields have nothing in them, show a message that says to complete the required fields, and it also highlights them using the "showRequired" function.If the required fields are already filled in, then it shows a message that says all required fields have been filled in.The showRequired function is being called at the end of the IF statement, which makes the fields get highlighted whether they have all been filled in, or not.I was just wondering if it is possible to put the showRequired function into the First Half of my IF statement, so that it would highlight them if they have NOT been filled in.And, then, the code after the "ELSE" would just show the message that everything has been filled in, and it would not highlight the fields.I have tried to do this, but I keep getting syntax errors and I have tried just about every way of re-doing it.  Not having any luck.I even tried turning the IF St

Adobe Acrobat is always creating a folder called "Documents" (in english) after installing or updating it.The problem is that i´m from Spain, and my computer is using spanish language , so if i go to my folders i have "Documentos" folder and "Documents" created by adobe during the install or update process.The same folder with different languages. Acrobat installation shouldn´t create the "documents" folder.Thanks

When Creating a PDF from a Web Page using the Enhanced engine, the resulting PDF is untagged, and thus inaccessible.When using the Classic engine it results in a Tagged PDF, but Alt-text for images does not convert.

JavaScript scripts run even when fields are locked (read-only).Have I missed something, or is Acrobat becoming unusable? In the attachment, both fields are read-only, try it...    

Hi gurus, I came across the situation where I want to select multiple value from list box and display those selected values to Text field.For eg: Lets say we have 2 fields. one is  list box. another is Text field. My  List box contains RedBlueGreenYellowBlackIf user selects Red, Blue and Yellow. Then I want to display these 3 values on the Text field simultaneously.Now, I have seen the code where  var v = this.getField("ListBox1"); but the issue is I dont have this functionality(this.getField) in my adobe livecycle designer.Attached ss of not having functionality. so can you pls provide js or any solution through which I can resolve this.   

I have been using Acrobat for something like 20 years now, and it's the worse it's ever been.  I can barely use it for two minutes before it completely hangs up. The application is not responding to anything, no matter what I do, and I have to shut it down via the Task Manager. I tried a fresh install, the cleaner tool, and everything else I can think of. Nothing works. I'm just about to give up on the tool I've used for my work for a long period of time and that I have stood up for for many years and defended it as the "Industry Standard". I think I know my way around it, and if I can't get it to do the most basic tasks (like open a PDF for more than 2 minutes), how can you expect anyone else to be able to?   Adobe, you've managed to make me hate your applications. I'm just about to uninstall it for good, or at least until you get your act together. Acrobat Pro cannot convert this page: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-can-you-limit-the-number-of-selections-in-a-list-box/td-p/15387208   It lags for about two minutes before displaying this message, and creating a PDF that looks like nothing and is incomplete (attached). Is this really normal?   The problem is the same on Mac and Windows. Acrobat Pro version 2025.001.20531  

I'm trying create form for screen hire, but limiting the quantity of screens that can be hired to 2.We have 43" screens, 55" screens and 65" screens, so 3 options.I have all ready setup checkboxes for each screen size and sourced a javascript the only allows for up to 2 screen sizes to be selected with the remaining screen size checkbox the become read only. For the quantity of each screen I will be using radio buttons, where you can select either 1 or 2.So the script I need help with is as follows:If the client selects only a 43" screen, they can select either the "1" or "2" radio button related to 43" screen.If the client selects a 43" screen and the 55" screen, they can only select  the "1"  radio button related to 43" and 55" screens and can not select "1" or "2" for the remaining 65" screen ( i'm now think it may help have additional radio button for each screen type set as default set as "0")I will need this to work for any combition of up to 2 screens.If it helps

HiWhenever I click on a bookmark, such as a chapter heading or section heading, the font size defaults to a size much smaller than the actual document font size. I tried changing it (per some instructions I saw on the web) in Preferences > Page Display > Default Layout and Zoom and then deselecting the checked boxes in Accessibility > Override Page Display but that doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance 🙂

We have users on our network with issues regarding Acrobat Pro. Whenever they try and redact on a PDF document, the first two pages will usually be clean or correctly redacted, but once the users redact on more than two, they see multiple redactions from other pages or earlier pages. It has been a know issue that we have not been able to resolve yet. -Users are on a active subscription-Not sure if the program being 32-bit matters-No other known issues within the document editor known-All users who redact have this problem, not just one user.   

When I try to delete pages in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC I recieve an error message 'One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted'.No other pages or files are open. I have deleted and resinstalled adobe. I have changed every setting that other discussions have talked about. Nothing fixes this. I need to be able to delete multiple pages and often, its a vital part of my job. My boss moved me to a completely new computer and the problem is still there. It is only for my adobe. All we can think of is its my adobe account/login that has the glitch. If we cannot resolve this my boss is going to move us to another PDF application. (We have 30 employees)

This is an issue I am encountering on multiple computers with several different PDF files.  When performing the recognize text function, or optical character recognition, Adobe Acrobat recognizes text on an entire PDF of a textbook and then freezes on the last page.  Windows does not report the program as "not responding" and Acrobat does not report an error either.  However, it does become very difficult to switch to the Acrobat window.  Also, CPU usage does not spike to 100% (I checked individual threads as well, no individual thread is being utilized near 100% when this is happening).The program simply sits on what appears to be the last step of the text recognition until I give up on it and end the task in task manager.The whole process typically takes about 20 minutes.  20 minutes of text recognition, then sitting on last page for an indefinite amount of time.With numerous files I have attempted to remedy the problem by printing to PDF, saving it, and repe

Hi, for a few days now, when I click on "Modify" or "Add a stamp", the left column of the menu opens but is totally empty, impossible to select anything. Anyone has an idea of what's wrong and how to fix it? New issue. This happens on two different Windows 11 computers running the latest version of Acrobat.Open a PDF created from a scanned document.If using the old interface, tight-click the document and select "Edit a PDF"Select "Edit using Photoshop" (or its equivalent in the new interface). Acrobat displays an error message: "Adobe Acrobat cannot start the image editing application you’ve specified. Verify the image editing application location on the Content Editing panel in Preferences." The path in Preferences is correct. The image DOES automatically open in Photoshop, but changes to the image from Photoshop are not loaded into Acrobat. This same behavior happens if I try to edit the image in Paint.

I am currently working on exporting an InDesign document to an accessible PDF and am encountering significant difficulty with the references that contain multi-line hyperlinks.I am aware of the known issue that often requires re-creating these multi-line links directly in Adobe Acrobat. However, even after successfully re-creating the links in Acrobat, the <Link OBJR> tag frequently goes missing. The behavior seems inconsistent: sometimes the OBJR is created, and sometimes it is not. Even when I manage to successfully recreate the link with the correct OBJR tag, it occasionally disappears again.I have also tried isolating the references, recreating the links within a separate document, and then importing them back into the main file, but this process causes the OBJR tags to vanish once more.Could you please provide insight into why this might be happening? After the recent update, I can no longer edit my form field properties. I click on it , Abobe thinks a bit and then crashes. No error reports come up. It is EXTREMELY frustrating to say the least. I have tried all the methods you have put in forums: security etc but nada nothing works.  Is this a glitch in the new roll out?  Because it worked fine before:  seriously thinking a not paying subscription price anymore and finding another product.

I've got a 73-page document with a lot of internal links (ToC, etc.). When I run the accessibility checker, one of the links shows as not being tagged. However, once I fix that link (by using Find --> Unmarked Annotations), on running the check again, all 158 links show as not being tagged. However, when using the Find--> Unmarked Annotations function, nothing comes up. When checking the Content panel, the links show there but come up as not found in the tags panel. I therefore cannot add new object tags to any of these supposed unmarked annotations. I've tried deleting the existing object tags (they all have one except for the original link that shows as an error; sometimes Acrobat lets me delete these and sometimes it won't), deleting the link tags (it will let me delete the whole link tag if I can't delete the object tag) and creating new ones, and changing all the link tags to paragraphs and back again. Nothing has worked. I still can't get the find function to identify the l

I am preparing a document with references at the back which contain URL hyperlinks and when I export the PDF and run the acessibilty report they are all failing the tagged annotations. Because they layout has the web addresses falling onto lines I believe the urls is getting truncated, I supsect this may be the culpret but I don't know how to  join the links back together.  Any idea on how I can fix this? Running Adobe version 2025.001.20476 for Mac on iMac OS Sonoma 14.7.4 with Brother DCPL-2550DW Printer/Scanner File > Create > PDF from ScannerCustom Scan window opens; select Scanner; check optimize image; create new pdf; check recognize text (OCR)Click Scan buttonNew window opens - nothing appears - see attached photo - program doesn't respond - have to force quit to exit program.Printer drivers and utilities are up to date.Uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled Adobe. Uninstalled, have not reinstalled Adobe Reader and InDesign. Scanning issue persists. I am using an icon as a button. But when I export to PDF, there is this invisible box around my actual icon button, so it looks like the space above it is clickable too. If I try resizing it in the Properties, it distorts my icon button. How can I resolve this? 

Several users have reported that the Adobe Acrobat application closes automatically within 4–5 seconds of launching. We've found that manually clearing Adobe-related cached credentials from the Windows Credential Manager resolves the issue temporarily. However, this problem keeps recurring. Has anyone encountered this behavior before or found a permanent fix for it? Any insights or recommended solutions would be greatly appreciated
