I have a field that i want to show a value only if the dropdown list is a certain value. For all of the other then the person must manually type in. For example, if my drowndown list value is "Monday" then i want the field to display a 1 but if the dropwdown list displays a "Friday" then the field should let the person manually type the number.

I have a table to calculate a result but cannot seem to get the java script right.  In Line F of the form, the Estimated Minimum Mod is calculated referencing the calculation in Line E. For example:  the table incorporates a range of numbers - if line E is $320,000, which is between $300,00-$400,00, then line F is .60 or if Line E is $90,000, which is less than $100,000 Then Line F is .75.  Line E is the result of Line C, the Current Annual Premium (which is entered by the user), divided by Line D Current Experience Modification (which is also entered by the user). The resulting number in Line F is used to calculate the number in Line G, which is E times F.   The calculations should flow, but I cannot get the script right for Line F to produce any number. I would greatly appreciate some help with the script for line F.  Thank you. 

I have been reviewing over so many options and ideas that have solved several answers... but I cannot for the life of me, find what it is I am trying to do.  I have been back and forth with several options, but just cannot get it to work. Scenario:This is a form for customers to fill out when they may be online and have interest.  Instead of calling in, they can fill out this quick form and get an idea what the cost may be. One line option is similar to this one.How many oranges would you like to have? ______Users are to just type a number into a textfield placed where the underline is.  If they type "4", then it should start an action and fill out the "demo" invoice.  This textfield would be called, "txtNumOrng".  Format would be a number. Once this number is typed in, down within the same adobe pdf, we have a "demo" invoice with columns showing "Description", "Qty", "UnitPrice" and "TotalPrice" that should be filled in.  In this scenario:D

Good afternoon, I have to fill in and sign several documents to submit in a call and when I open it, it tells me that the added information cannot be saved and it does not allow me to sign the documents. It only happens with these 3 documents, the rest if I can fill them in and sign them. I would be grateful if someone could help me (attached screenshot).

I'm running Acrobat Pro, version 2025.001.20432 on Macbook Air M3, Sequoia 15.3.2.  I was sent a PDF from a co-worker created using the same system/software specs.  When opening the PDF from my email program:1. I am not able to see the content contained on the pages.2. If I save the attached PDF to my desktop, the thumbnail displays the content I should be able to see. 3. If I open the PDF and sent it to my printer, the page prints as it should. 4. If I open the attachment on my iPhone 15 using Acrobat, it displays as it should.  How can I fix the problem of the content not displaying when I open the PDF on my Mac?Thank you

Hi,We want to create a PDF form of sorts (PDF, not online) and have a bunch of questions with either checkboxes, or radio buttons, or other ways for people to fill out the form. We do want to have it so that people HAVE to fill out certain fields / enter data / select options / etc. before they can save the form and send it back to us. How do we do this?Thanks. 

Hi,I'm using Adobe Pro DC.  My PDF documents must be saved so the bookmarks are displayed when it's opened.  Can the document properties by set to default to these settings so I don't have to set them each time?  =>  file properties | initial view | navigation tab (bookmark/panel&page) | page layout (single page continuous) | magnification (fit width) | open to page 1Thank you.

Despite reading the instructions and trying to set up a digital signature, I have only been able to draw and set up a digital signature but every time I place the signature on a document, the date and time stamp do not show. How can I get the date and time stamp to show on the document. Thanks

Hi,I've used the "Send for signature" tool in PDF.Whenever I start typing an email adress, a drop-down list appears everytime with past email adress used previously.Is it possible to clear this list (email history) and how do you proceed?The reason behind this is to make sure I don't use an email adress which had a typo in it... Since it is a long email adress, I can't see which email is the good one since the typo is at the end.Thank you in advance!P.S.: I work on a Mac (Apple). 

How do I export my pdf file to word. I want to have all text items not in individual text boxes. need the .pdf when exported in .doc format do display all lines and text not surrounded by individual text boxes.   Using Adobe Acrobat Pro 17   [personal email removed by moderator.]   Note: Never ever leave a personal email or any personal contact information in a public forum. Now I’d like to distribute it, but with protection in place to prevent users from accessing the structure of the form or copying the scripts.I applied password protection to restrict editing, allowing users to fill out the form but not modify the pages. However, this causes a problem: script execution is blocked with a warning that the current permissions do not allow operations on templates.In my form, various templates are used to generate pages, which are shown or hidden depending on user input. This functionality is blocked unless page modification is allowed — but if I enable that, the form’s structure and scripts become fully visible.So, I tried a different approach: all templates are hidden, and I use spawn() to generate pages. Hola queria hacer un pdf de una sola hoja, donde tuviera hipervinculos donde al hacer clic se dirigia a otro pdf aparte y asi con cada boton. Veo que una de las opciones cuando quieres adjuntar en adobe acrobat es "Abrir un archivo", pero cuando guardo ese pdf y lo abro, no me sale nada para hacer clic, aunque haya puesto esa opcion para que abra otro archivo pdf. Alguien sabe como se puede solucionar?

How do I save a pdf so that only I can edit it? 

Okay, so I needed to insert a page into a PDF that duplicates a page that is already in the original PDF. There is a long list of people that need to be added and one page is not enough, so I need multiple pages. I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to do this -- this is what my job has. My problem is that I am trying to fill in different information on both pages but whatever I do to one page, it happens on the other. I do not want it to do that. How can I fix this so that I am able to add duplicate pages but not have the text I fill into one page copy over to the other pages? Right now I am saving the additional pages separately and then scanning them in as a single PDF, but then I am not able to edit anymore, I would have to start all over. 

What does it mean to compress a pdf? I'm creating fairly simple pdf docs to sell online, should I compress those?

I am trying to upload a manuscript with a lot of image that bleed to KDP and they will only take a pdf. I also have to have margins exact before they will accept it; however, every time I convert to pdf, it adds a white strip border down the entire side of the document.  I cannot find anything online that will help me fix this that actually matches Word 2019 or pdf's from 2024. I am using Adobe Pro as well.  Thank you Staci

Hi! If I highlight text from an article in Adobe Pro DC, is there a way I can see, how much/the percentage that highlighted text constitutes of the complete text?

I am using the latest Windows version of Acrobat Pro (no updates are available). Lately when I have tried to compress a pdf, the result is a pdf whose size is greater that what it started with. Since this is the predominate reason I purchased the product, this is a real problem. This used to work quite well for a single file as well as for multiple files, but not now. Greetings,I've asked this before and sort of knew the answer. I can change the name of a PDF file only on my mobile phone as of last year anyway it's impossible to change the file name of a PDF opened in any Adobe on the computer. Now that Adobe rolled out its AI version of Adobe I'm asking if can I somehow ask AI to change the name of my PDF file? You know what I mean it's frustrating to get a banking statement and after you download it it reads 56748811.pdf and you want to be able to find it fast if needed, so you rename it CapitalOne-State-03-15-2025. You know? Frustrating I have no idea why I can do that on my Android Phone however, not with a Windows computer?.

Since the 2023 update to Acrobat I can no longer view large images zoomed in. I design artwork for print at a few metres in width, and I used to be able to zoom in at 100 or 200% to check on detail. Since the 2023 version Acrobat will just freeze if I zoom past around 50%, and random white blocks appear over the image. I've turned off image smoothing and it makes no difference. Does anyone have a solution? I'm on a Mac Studio M1 Ultra with 128gb of RAM, so it's not for a lack of firepower. Used to work fine up until the 2023 version. It's really hindering my workflow.
