Personally there are a lot of things I hate about the new Acrobat. Most of all is the random changes I'm getting when I insert jpg images. Without me doing anything suddenly a pencil drawing I have done and captured as a jpg will be all marked up with random symbols, letters, and crossmarks. I hit undo but at some point it does it again. AI should be an active decision not something the program just decides I need.
I convert my blogs, written on the TravelArk blog site, to PDF files to create blog books. To make my PDF files, I go into my published blog chapter, then Print, then Save as PDF. I usually have to tweak my ratios to enable pictures to fit and make the layout as good as possible. I have published ten books. Trying to tweak them is not always easy, but at least it has been possible. This system was working fine until a few days ago. As far as I know, nothing has changed with new updates, etc. Now, if I try to edit my converted PDF (in EDIT), the cursor is BELOW the text. It will not highlight the text I want, nor will it allow me to make even minor changes without the entire "text box" going into a seizure and doubling over text, changing spacing, paragraphs etc. A total mess. Can anyone offer any suggestions? I've looked up Adoble FAQ's on editing in PDF and I'm now totally confused. I'd dearly love to get this blog published as soon as I c

Since around December 3, 2024, it is taking a very long time for files to open. Did something change at that time? It's as if someone flipped a switch and the time it takes to open filesslowed way down (and stayed that way).
Hola.

I watched the video posted by PDF Form Javascript on YouTube which showed a way to add additional pages and delete them (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlq0NCxamjg). The problem I ran into was it seems that the script deletes any additional pages added after the template page. I'm looking to incorporate this script to add two separate categories for a tenant portal, I'd like to generate an area for those on the lease (multiple people) and a separate portion of the form for references. The problem is the number of pages will be contingent on the renter and therefore not uniform. I'm trying to work on a script which will allow me to add and delete pages in two separate areas without deleting additional pages not related to the necessary criteria. For instance, if I have (3) renters in an apartment, I'd like to add additional pages for say (3) references, and be able to delete a reference and tenant without deleting other pages in the form. Any help, greatly appreciated!
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 7Windows 10 ProAdobe Acrobat Classic (Version 17) was purchased from Lenovo with a perpetual license. My computer motherboard was replaced, and now Adobe Acrobat does not work.An Error Message appears when I click on a PDF document to open it. The same error message appears when I try to save a WORD document as a PDF document. The Error Message states: "Your request could not be completed. Adobe Acrobat license has either expired or not been activated."My Adobe Acrobat perpetual license did not expire.I did not deactivate Adobe Acrobat before the System Board was replaced. My Adobe Account still lists my Adobe Acrobat Product with the correct serial number. The Account indicates that the Adobe Acrobat Product is not activated. There is an option to install the Product. There is no option to just reactivate the Product.Question: Does Adobe Acrobat have to be (A) just reactivated or (B) reinstalled/reactivated or (C) uninstal
Dear support team,I would like to propose a new feature of Acrobat: in the drop down menu when I right click on one or more pdf files I would like to directly select Save low resolution version/optimised version, and maybe also Export as image and other formats. This would require just one/two more buttons in the drop down menu (with subcommands of course): Save as and eventually also "export as" if you can't put all these under the Save as command.Looking forward to hearing from you, Matteo Lanfranchiin riga edizioni
Hi,After updating to the latest version (the brand new one), I noticed that the comment-adding function is disabled. This feature was working fine before the update, and I rely on it frequently for my workflow.Has anyone else encountered this issue, or is there a setting I need to adjust to re-enable it? Any help would be appreciated!Thank you!
I was on free trial for Acrobat Pro service, and it's the annual subsciption but the bill is paid monthly. I cancelled it before th esubscription ends (before 1 year). And now I need to pay 50% fee of the rest billings. They send me the email to pay the bill and it's one-time session, and I forgot to click on it. Now I want to pay it since I feel uneasy whether they will charge me later on, but I can't find the icon or any notification since that one-time click. What should I do?
Our organization has some custom fonts in .otf format installed locally in the systems font folder and the organization asset library to reflect in the office online. Fonts reflect correctly when we create a document using the Office desktop app (PowerPoint or Word) and save it as a PDF. Still, organisations' fonts are replaced with generic fonts when using the Office online (web version). What could be the issue, and how can it be fixed? Please remember that the issue only happens on the web version of the office.
I would like to know if Adobe has incorporated any new AI capabilities into any newer versions of Acrobat Pro to improve optical character recognition. My company currently uses Acrobat Pro 2017, and similar to many others we have frequently experienced issues with OCR being inaccurate unless the PDF files are pristine with perfectly legible text. Improvements to OCR (with capabilities more similar to ABBYY Finereader) would be a dramatic improvement for customers. My company frequently works with older (clear) hand written documents which I have successfully OCR'd with relatively minimal user input in ABBYY Finereader 15, as well as tables of data which would we would like to export to Excel for re-creation, but Acrobat Pro 2017 will very rarely work even on scanned printed text documents unless they are near perfect 600dpi scans with no skewing. Also, the lack of ability to change or correct the erroneous OCR results currently makes the feature far less useful than it can and sh
We use Open Sans font as a default. In both Acrobat and Reader, letters of the same font display as different sizes. The issue is most visible with "e" and "a".The issue is not present in Acrobat Web.I have tried updating the software, reinstalling the Open Sans font, adjusting the smooth text rendering. In Document Properties > Fonts, the Open Sans fonts are marked as (Embedded Subset) and set to Encoding: Built-in. See example below (screenshot of PDF content):
Hello! I have two issues and I noticed the error message the same time I STOPPED being able to combine files to one PDF. I have always been able to do it. Now it is not working. I have tried many different ways. I normally right click and select the combine. When I do do this and this is the same with the other ways (which FYI is when the screen is open, I clicked on the create button), I put my files in order, I hit combine, and then a divided screen pops up. To the left the files I have chosen for my combined PDF and to the right, the first page of the file. I hit combine. I save it. The screen shot highlighted shows portfolio and it also shows a spinning symbol. I have tried clicking on each file to the left, when that split screen comes up, I have tried printing them to a new file. Nothing I do works. The 2nd thing is that error message at the top. When I open it, there are 3 errors, but I can't figure out
When converting a PowerPoint to a PDF, it sometimes changes the version of the Sitka font in the slide headlines. Is there a fix to this?
I am new to Adobe, but when using my previous product, the Bates Numbering log contained the original file name and the corresponding Bates numbers. This was true even if I selected Replace File Name with Bates Numbers. Adobe's log seems to just be the new file name (i.e., the Bates number) and the Bates numbers. That is not super helpful. Is there a way to have the log reflect the original file names and Bates numbers?
There is no way to duplicate a pg in acrabat?
I work in field service , for a packaging food machinery company. We have a huge range of machines and do major preventive and reactive maintenance. All the manuals for our machine are exploded diagrams with part numbers beside each component. My entire team on Adobe subscriptions by showing them the comments feature where we can quickly run through a manual highlighting each part we need and when finished we can look through the summary and copy paste each part to an excel sheet so she can import the column of part numbers into our quote system. My question is, is it possible to create an additional feature when using the commenting application. When you go through the manual and highlight all the part numbers it is fantastic how we can crate a comment summary and easley select just the pages that have highlights and give the customer a clear visual of the parts they were ordering. Sorry, back to the question, as i said i highlight all the part numbers , sometimes hundreds , de
I'm a high school photo and design teacher. I am struggling to print decent-looking photos and design projects from PDF to HP color laserjet. Files print very dark, both photos and InDesign projects we export to PDF. I have 50 students who submit multiple PDFs for me to proof-print, and I can't adjust each file in Photoshop etc. Are there color conversion settings that might help me print from Acrobat? Thanks!
I'm working on remediating a PDF that was created in InDesign that I'm now correcting in Acrobat. I ended up having to rearrange some things in the reading order which forced some of my text behind the artwork, which I then had to manually go in Acrobat and move to the front. Doing this messed up my tags, so I had to go in and highlight the text and create a new tag for it. Since I'm using a lighter color of the same text to help the text stand out against the backround, it's picking up both text blocks and then confusing them in the container in the tags tree. (Screen shot). Is there a way to manually edit the text in the container in the tags tree? I don't see how I can only select the top version of the text so that the type isn't repeating.
I find this feature works occassionally, such as for account numbers, but I can't seem to get a partial redaction to work. For example, if the SS# is 123-45-6789 i would put into the find text field within acrobat redaction tool "123-45" and it would pull up the entire SS#. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!
Per https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-edge-insider/microsoft-edge-and-adobe-partner-to-improve-the-pdf-experience/bc-p/4267136#M286 The commercial rollout is meant to be next month, so I'm not sure if its meant to work today or not, but when I click to "Edit with Acrobat" in the new Edge PDF viewer I get told that I should now be able to edit the PDF, but I am still prompted to start a new trial.
