It is very annyoying to hear a beep in Adobe Acrobat Pro when I save a PDF, when I optimize a PDF, when I reduce the size of a PDF. It doesn't happen when I just click on the save button. It also  happens when I save open a PDF I've reduced in size via ILove PDF. I usually open the compressed file, and save it, or try to save it further as a reduced file, eventually saving back to the original file, and then I delete the compressed file from ILove PDF. HiI downloaded the offline installer. Using it, I deployed the msi. However, this is version 15.Using .msp, I created a new msi. When I try to install it, I get a message that the program is already installed on the computer. How do I modify the Upgrade table so that it recognizes the earlier version and removes it? I added an entry with ActionProperty "UPGRADE" without specifying min and max versions. However, it did not change anything.  

I've just finished a form and have since realized I committed an Adobe sin and used the comments tools to create what i intended to be visble lines to help divide up sections of the form.  I'm using Acrobat Standard and am curious if anyone can offer me some guidance on converting these lines into static elements and making them unselectable.  I didn't even notice this was an issue until I doubled back to test ans adjust the tab order and these lines showed as selectable..  Or, if they can't be converted in some manner, is there a way i can replace them with other lines to take their place?  I don't have the heart to start over from scratch. I've seen some other threads suggesting the comments can be flattened with javascript?  Is that an option?  If so, could someone help me with that?

In Adobe Acorbar Pro, running on a macbook, I am trying to combine files. When I click combine it populates numbers, assigning the first file number zero, and then not combining anything. I do not end up with any combined file at all, although there is a "portfolio" tab that consists only of the original file listing, with the number 0 assigned. Help?

Hi everyone, Recently, I haven't been able to use the send PDF to email feature with Outlook, which attaches the PDF file to email automatically. I've updated Adobe to the latest version with a subscription now, hoping that would work, and still no luck. It works when attaching to webmail, but not to Outlook. I don't use webmail. I've tried reinstalling Adobe Acrobat and even Outlook (clean reinstalls and restarts in between), but none of that fixes the issue. It doesn't matter whether Outlook is already open or not. I've also tried other workarounds in other posts, like disabling an Outlook addon or setting Outlook as the default without sending link under Adobe preferences, and no luck there either. Trying the admin Windows user account didn't work either from a prior suggestion. It always looks like it's about to work, but doesn't. I noticed that every time I try it, there is an Outlook tray icon saying that another application is using Outlook. It specifically happens whe

Since the new Acrobat UI was released, I haven't been able to filter my comments by status consistently. Sometimes the option is there and sometimes it's not. As of today, I'm on version 2024.003.20180 and on a Mac. I know some of my clients use a project management software where they can make comments in and the PDFs come back looking a little wonky sometimes (large outlined boxes, highlighted text becomes a new comment for EACH letter) but even with all of this, filtering by status was never an issue pre-new Acrobat UI. I can only filter by status now very rarely, which is the opposite of what I need when I'm often working through hundreds of comments. First image shows the filter options of a PDF I created where I can filter by status. I just added in comments and set a status to test. I’d like to see hyperlinks in my PDF while viewing it in Acrobat Pro. I recall there being a setting to display a thin line under each hyperlink. I was advised to enable this via View > Extras > Show Hyperlinks, but I can’t find the Extras menu under View. Has this functionality been moved, and where can I find it?"

I have a Huion Tablet and use it for schoolwork and would like to be able to set the softkeys to commands and tools I frequently use like Edit, Add text, Add Image, Highlight, crop, etc. but I dont see a way to do that and i dont see any key commands for those things. How do I make key commands for things that dont already have them?

Adding text notations in a PDF that is not set up as a form. Notations occasionally end up duplicated randomly through the document. As an example, text comments added on page 54 repeatedly show up on page 5. If I delete the comments that appear on page 5, they are also removed on page 54.  How do I fix this???  Comments were added using this tool:  

I am needing to send a form to thousands of customers, and I want to keep track of who is filling them out with customer number. How can I bulk send using a CSV file that has the email address and customer number? When I bulk send, it makes me copy and paste, but no option for uploading a CSV file. Also, it says I can only send to 50 at a time. Is that true if I upgrade to a business plan?For reference, I am using acrobat pro individual, not business yet. If I upgrade, will I be able to for sure use CSV. 

I created a PDF form and need some help with the custom script to autopopulat a field with a number based on a drop-down field and one of two other fields. In the above image, a number (1-10) is selected in the Family Of drop-down field. Then a dollar amount is entered into either Monthly Adjusted Gross or Biweekly Adjusted Gross. The number in Family Of fielddetermines what range of numbers to look at along with the number entered in the Monthly or Biweekly field to then determine what the Monthly Fee field number will be.For example:If Family Of is 1, Monthly Gross is 3000, then based on the Family of 1 income data:The Monthly Fee field will then autopopulate with 10. The tricky part is because the range of numbers changes based on the Family Of number. Hi there, I've downloaded fonts in OpenType PostScript format onto my Mac, and used them in a PPT Doc. When I export to PDF the font doesn't display in the PDF. I've embedded the font in the PPT, in Save Preferences.  I've assigned the font to PDFs in Fontbook and verified the font there too. This happens in both Adobe Reader and Mac Preview. I've updated MS Office, Adobe Reader, and the Mac! And restarted several times.  Strangely, the font can be embedded into a PDF from Mac Keynote, but that's affecting my presentation in other ways, so would rather keep to PPT. Does anyone have any fixes? Thanks! 

Using Adobe acrobat's e-signature tool in forms, PDFs, etc, I would like to know if I can have emails other than my own alerted to when a document has been signed/completed. If I send an e-signature request out to a person/people, it will come back to me once completed via an alert to my email; I would like to have that completed alert sent to my email as well as another, so we both can instantly receive the completed/signed document. 

Yes, I've uninstalled / reinstalled.  Yes, I've rebuilt iconcache.db.  I've tried everything that I know of, and the PDF thumbnails go from "preview" (which I have an as option) to black on my desktop.  I haven't found anything on this other than links to old posts that redirect back to the "rebuild iconcache.db" stuff.If anyone has any input / ideas / suggestions on this, it would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!Andy

I have 40+ forms and I want to make sure that common fields have the same names and same formats. This would greatly help me in storing and sorting the entries.Apart from that i want to make sure the formatting is consistent through all the forms. I have a document with a header image, titles and headers as well as opening paragraphs followed by a checklist formatted in a table. The checklist is followed by another paragraph with numbered sections.  The document was created in InDesign, then exported to Acrobat to run the accessibility checker and fix reading order. It is completely tagged, the reading order is fixed and the whole document passed the accessibility checker after some missing tags for links were added.  Mac VoiceOver is able to read through the entire document, so is the Read Out Loud feature in Acrobat. It is reading through an original on the Mac laptop it was created on  However, when we run NVDA screen reader on a sharing copy of the document on a different colleague's Windows desktop, the screen reader skips the intro paragraphs and reads the checklists, then skips the closing paragraphs. Any idea what might be happening and why? Please note, I am not able to share a copy of

Am I right to assume that Acrobat Pro no longer exists (it's called Acrobat now) and that it no longer is possible to create forms that calculate or use JavaScript for validiation? What do we have to do to create forms that calculate?

Ich möchte nur über Tastaturkürzel über die SendKeys-Funktion aus VBA einen Begriff in einem vorhandenen pdf-Dokument suchen, dann die gesamte Zeile, die diesen begriff enthält, über Tastaturkürzel markieren und als Text hervorheben.Über Strg+F ist die Suche erfolgreich. Leider gelingt die Markierung der Zeile über Shift+POS1 oder SHIFT+ENDE nicht, weil der Cursor bei der Suchfunktion nicht in der Zeile platziert wird. Bricht man die Suche über ESC ab, verliert der Corsor vermutlich seinen Fokus und man kann die Zeile, in der das eben gefundene Wort steht, nicht markieren.Über Shift+F10 und ALT+T kann man den gefundenen Begriff nur beim ersten Mal markieren und hervorheben. Sollte er ein zweites Mal vorkommen, geht diese Markierung trotz Finden der weiteren Stelle nicht mehr.Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen??? 

I'm trying to make a document with multiple pages that include the same internal links (sort of like an embedded index)- but once I duplicate the page, the links don't seem to work. I'm quite new to making PDFs and opted to include the links in Acrobat even though the document template was created in Word. What am I missing that will maintain those links in the duplicated pages?

Until recently I would click the email buttin in the top right part of the programme and it would open my default Email programme - Chaos Intellect. It appears that this was changed to Microsoft Outlook in a recent update and I can't work out how to change this.  I can't seem to replace Outllok with Chaos Intellect. Can anyvbody help please. Thanks, Franz
