I'm transitioning from RoboHelp 2015 to RoboHelp 2019. At my company our products provide us with the information for the HTML files in a Word document and I'm able to "successfully" import these files into my RoboHelp project. I've also figured out how to get all the styles to import over so that the htm files in the Contents file look the way they are supposed to look. I've also added a Master Page for the footer for all these files and I select it when I set up the WebHelp settings. When I generate the WebHelp files is where I see the disconnect. It "successfully" generates, but it doesn't generate my imported files. I just get the FirstTopic.htm file in output. Where have I not connected the dots?
Hello,Can someone explain why other users can't open *chm file? Is it necessary to have RoboHelp installed to open *chm file?Thank you.
Is it possible to add a border in my TOC to show a graphical separation of different topics in the Output?Kann ich eine Trennlinie in mein Inhaltsverzeichnis einfügen um in der Ausgabe eine grafische Abtrennung verschiedener Themengebiete zu erzielen?
Hi,Word Imports to RoboHelp was supposed to be easier and simplified. It was simple to import, but after, you have to fix the content and that is extremely difficult if not impossible. For all the Word Import settings, I selected Import style. When I opened the topic, problems encountered;Text font and size was wrongFont color was wrongAll Images tripled in size.Had to delete the image and insert it individuallyImpossible to center the new imageWhen I select text, I expect to see the font type, size, configuration (BIU) and color. All is blank. The Contents section is all wrong. Lost all the Bookmarks. The List paragraphs, numbered or bulleted, are all on the left border. Some of the numbering is wrong. Suppose to have 3. - 3.1 - 3.2 etc. I get 3. - 3.5 - 3.6 etc.Impossible to change the numbering. One Header has 266 Bookmarks between the article number and the article name. An other has 36.And more.I insisted to upgrade from Robohelp 2017 to 2019 because the interface was reimagined (much
I have a project has about 50 books that hosts topics on software, applications, etc. Some books have sub categories in the title. For example: Microsoft Outlook 2016 | Email | Email Basics. How can I make the Responsive HTML5 easier to search? The TOC and Index is frustrating for some of the users. Appreciate any suggestions.
Hello,I am using RoboHelp 2017 on Windows 10. I have a project that I have been working on for several months, although I am not that familiar with RoboHelp other than this.I generate Microsoft HTML output and recently ran into an issue: for reasons I don't understand, whenever I search for a topic in the generated output, it lists many of the resulting topics twice. Clicking one of the topics out of the pair brings up the topic as expected. Clicking the other topic listed always brings up a "This page can't be displayed" message. Sometimes the first topic listed doesn't work, sometimes it's the second. Here's a screen capture that hopefully displays the problem clearly:Please let me know if there are any more details I can provide. I am really not sure what happened. Thanks very much.
Need to find a way to replace 300 images with one image. What I mean by that is that there are 300 topics that all have the same image, but point to different paths. When I update this image, I want it to update the image in all 300 topics, keep the same path, and not have to do it manually. Is there a way that I can do this?
I'm currently using Robohelp 2017 and have several outputs that we use. For each output we are using the Charcoal HTML5 layout. Recently, the search function has not been processing any results in any of the outputs. When typing into the search bar it will list the suggested search however. I've attempted a little research on the issue and saw the solution that provided. Search does not work in Responsive HTML5 output generated from RoboHelp (2017 release) Update 2. I took the files within the zip folder and replaced them within the script folder of Robohelp and am still getting the same error with the search function. I have discovered that the issue only occurs in Internet Explorer however, which is the main web browser that our company prefers. Our company is in the process of switching to a different terminal server and I've been working from the new server as of late and have been generating the outputs from the new server. I'm wondering if that is part of the issue and not all th
I am using RoboHelp 2019 version 2019.0.5I have deleted a folder named Dropdown and the topic called First Topic in in RoboHelp. No sign of either of them any where. However, when I generate output I get the DropDown folder with the First_Topic.htm (below).I have deleted the First_Topic.htm and the DropDown folder from the Unified2 RoboHelp project folder, but when I go back and generate my html preset, both folder and First_Topic.htm re-appear!I cannot find where RoboHelp is storing the deleted folder and First_Topic.htm file.Does anyone have any idea what is happening?
Is it possible to edit and/or delete some of the navigation items in the left navigation panel?
Hello,When a PDF or word output is generated, The heading of a book is displaying twice. For exampleActive Reporting5.1 Active Reporting
I am only able to view the $ view (default view) in source control. I need to be able to view versions of documents in the * view (raw root). Is someone able to assist me?
I checked the board for similar questions, but the answer was from 2008 and it said to just copy the folder to a new location, open the Robohelp file & go to "file> rename file".That is not an option in Robohelp 2019. There is no "save as", so what is the best way to duplicate a project as a template?
Hello,Using RH 2017 I've created a master project for a Responsive HTML5 project and import the FrameMaker 2017 book. The FM styles are mapped to the RH styles. For 2 of the FM books, I get this error several times. It seems to include all the chapters of the book, but I's love to know what's causing the error so I can fix it. Has anyone else encountered this error message? Thanks!Dale
Segoe UI Semilight is displaying incorrectly:
Hi,I am noticing an issue in my Responsive HTML5 output footer. We have copyright information (2 to 3 lines) defined in the master page, properly formatted and aligned and applied on each page in the help. When we generate the Responsive output the alignment of the content does not look the same as in the master page. The master page has it centre aligned but the output shows one line from the footer as left aligned. Also on some pages the footer portion is seen partially and rest is hidden. Any idea why this would be happening? Any tips to fix this?
I'm working on a RoboHelp 2017 project, and want to add my project to a version control system. However, the recommended PushOK software leads me to a dead end. My company uses SVN Tortoise, but RoboHelp points me to a PushOK add-on.Does anyone have any suggestions or know the fate of PushOK?Thanks!Charlie RandisiOpenText, Inc.Post edited to remove email address.
Hi allI am using Robohelp 2015 and have created a project with roughly 100 topics. There are some png product images, but I have reduced the size of these as much as I can. When I export to Word, the document is almost 60Mb, which is much too large. It needs to be capable of being mailed to consultants who will cut and paste sections from it. For this reason, PDF is not acceptable either. Can anyone provide any pointers, hints, answers to this please? Are there any other formats I could consider that would meet our requirements? Many thanksLaura
Hi all,I recently upgraded from RH 2015 to RH 2019 Classic. In the Topic List pod in RH 2015, when using the Details view, I could choose the columns to show, including columns for topic-level tags and content-level tags. How can I do that in RH 2019 Classic? Sorry if it's a dumb question, but the online help provides no clue, and I couldn't find anything on the forum... Thanks in advance,Isabelle
When I use the Glossary Hotspot Wizard to create links within my topics to the terms, I then generate the project using the script (because I want to use popups instead of having the text display in-line). I did not edit this script before running it - do I need to? If so, where does the script reside? Any suggestions would be appreciated so that I can get this working as intended :-).
Hi,Using Robohelp 2019.5 version, i got an error trying to connect my TFS server (on premise). The collection used is not the "DefaultCollection" and has a "space" in it's name.Visual Studio Team explorer 2017 installed on same machine and TF.exe folder added to global path variables.Error message (in french) :-Impossible de trouver le fichier TF exécutable. Hi, My team is working on multiple Robohelp projects (around 10) and generating Repsonsive HTML5 output for each project. We have a conditional build tag applied to each project such that we can use the filter to select each help. Now, the filter works fine for Table of Contents but when it comes to Index and Glossary, it is not getting displayed in the Online Help even though they exist in RH in the individual helps.Any thoughts? Please let me know if more information is needed.
We currently have a template with specific heading types and fonts/sizes saved. However, each time we add a bullet note, the font changes to a different size and font. How to I customize the template so the bullets remain in the chosen font/size we have everything else set to?
