Hi,I am testing using the responsive html 5 output with merged files. I have worked out my issues with the table of contents but now I come to the index. Our real help has a lot of index keywords down to 3 levels, each child project has its own index. Some of the Index keywords are the same in more than one child project. This is where we have an issue in Responsive HTML5 help my test project looks like this:Each Test keyword goes to a different child project.Here is the same project generated as a WebHelp projectI have selected the single Test keyword and a pop up box appears to let me go to one of the child projects.So the index is working in that in responsive html5 help you can click on each of the index entries and they take you to the associated topic. However it is not working as I expected becuase you get a separate entry for each topic in the Index rather than merging them together and then providing a popup (or some other method) of selecting which child project topic you wan

Hi everyone!I'm building a help system in RH 2015, outputting to Responsive HTML5. The help includes an FAQ section. Each FAQ appears as a list of questions; the user clicks a question and the answer opens as dropdown text underneath the question. The user clicks the question again to hide the answer. However, some of the FAQ answers are kind of long, and when the user scrolls to the bottom of the answer, the question scrolls up and off the top of the screenHere's my question for you. I would like for the user to be able to hide the answer without having to scroll back up to the question. Is it possible to add a "Close" button to the bottom of dropdown text in Responsive HTML5? I'm not finding anything helpful in the RH help, other than it's possible to add a "close window" button in Microsoft HTML Help output, but that doesn't help me!All ideas are appreciated. Thanks!Tim

I have RoboHelp 2015.When I generate the help, the TOC is is accurate, but the topic content is missing. I'm seeing this icon:I have deleted the TOC and started over. I dragged the topics I wanted included from the project list to the TOC.I have deleted the files listed in the WebHelp folder in the project and started again, still no luck.Of course, I need this done by end of day today! Any help is greatly appreciated.MDawn

Hi,I have a set of projects one parent and 9 children which have been merged and published as web help. I open the parent help and can see all the children, the children have links from one to another and these when clicked open within the parent tab keeping my TOC structure. So in WebHelp it all works fine However I have gone through and republished all the projects as Responsive HTML Help using the Assure Blue skin, now:1 I open the parent help and the TOC for all children is shown correctly2. I click on a link to one of the child topics in the TOC it opens in the parent tab as expected3. I click on a link in any of the child topics linking to a topic in a different child project - the 2nd child project opens in a new tab and displays the expected topic NOT what I want.So how do I get the links in the child projects to open in the parent tab? I have looked at Peter Grainges explanation and cannot see anything I am doing wrong, I tried looking at William van Weeldens site and he does

Hi,I'm using RH2015 and have a merged responsive help project. I have updated topics and created a new merged project within it.I have built and published the project locally and it works correctly in IE, Edge, and FF.Ship the output to the dev team who plumb it in and when accessed via the application it works correctly in IE,  MS Edge but in FF it is not showing the updated topics and not displaying the TOC correctly.For example, i added a new field 'Menu' to this topic and it displays correctly when called from the application using IE and Edge.When i access the help with FF version 53.0.3 the field is not being displayed.The TOC is also not displaying correctly. The new merged module Purchase Invoice Management should be displayed beneath Xcel Uploader as per......But when viewed via the application in FF it is not?In another part of the TOC there should be a PIM folder. This is shown correctly in IE and Edge as per......but is not displayed using FF as per below?Any ideas?&nb

I am receiving consistently a Javascript error in the use of image maps with links as an automatic popup to a topic (html file). The error states "An error has occurred in the script on this page. Error: 'BSSCPopup' is undefined. Code: 0 What can I do?My image maps linked to a html topic work if I use "Display in frame".  They do not work any longer in RoboHelp 2015 (updated with ALL patches) when I use "Display in auto-sizing popup" or "Display in custom-sized popup" where JavaScript is used. Any ideas? Must I have JavaScript installed to work as the scripting language in RH2015?  My IT Team says I never had it before, only JAVA.

Hello -Working in RoboHelp 11, I've created a baggage file for a pdf. I've attached it to a topic in the TOC and it works beautifully - goes directly to the pdf in the baggage file. In the past, I've also attached baggage files to text within a topic, which was searchable.Does anyone know of a way to search for the topic from the TOC link? I've worked around this by creating a link within the topic in the Project Manager, but this is an extra step for the user. I'm wondering if there's anything else I can do.Thanks so much.Leanne

Hi,I am using robohelp tool (version - 9) which was integrated to TFS 2013 successfully with help of MSSCCI provider (32 bit).But now I have upgraded with TFS 2013 to TFS 2015 and  robohelp-9 is not integrating with TFS 2015.MSSCCI provider (32 bit) in not supporting to integrate with TFS 2015.Please help me how to integrate robohelp 9 with TFS-2015.My company will not bear any cost to purchase new version of robohelp. I'm using RH 2015. I'm generating WebHelp Pro as my primary layout. I have indicated "Show Total Number of Search Results".When reviewing my Search items in IE, it only lists a few of the search result items and no scroll bar to see the rest (see image).However, when I look at the Search item in Chrome or Firefox, the scroll bar is visible, enabling a user to look through all results (see image).Why is this happening and how can I fix this? Our user base primarily used IE (various versions).Help!

I'm investigating the program Robohelp on demand of my company.We want a look and feel layout according to the policies of the company.We can't change everything by using the button 'Customize Selected Layout'.The solution:For RH_2015 trial-version we we're able to do this. (RoboHelp screen profiles and layouts)​The final layout, build with the 2015 release, was approved by the board. Is there a way to get the scss-files of the layouts for Robohelp 2017?I'm using the trial version of RH 2017 at this moment.

I just installed RoboHelp Server 10 trial version. However, I get error saying "failed to create default context". I've tried to create a new context but no luck I get similar error "failed to create context in Tomcat". I checked  Apache Tomcat is running. Im assuming i missed a step in installation. Please advice.Thank you.

Why the cost of RoboHelp 2017 is less than 2015. Is there any feature on functionality that is available in 2015 but not in 2017? I am working RoboHelp 10 and looking for upgrade because WebHelp output is not supporting the Firefox browser.Which version do I go for??Thanks.

I'm using Robohelp HTML, version 11, and generating a WebHelp output.I'm running the Glossary Restyling script to change the style of the glossary hotspot display to be a "Tooltip."There are two issues. The first issue, I don't think is related to the script, but something that has been around in RH for a while with the glossary hotspots. Robohelp seems to put an extra space at the end of the glossary term that is a hotspot. This is fine if the hotspot isn't at the end of a sentence next to a period or prior to some other punctuation mark, such as a comma. You can fix this "extra space" by simply removing it in the editor. Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of this extra space. Is there a workaround to fix this unwanted "extra space" that displays in the output between a hotspot and a punctuation mark?  The second issue seems to be that in using the Glossary Restyling script, even though I selected "Tooltip" as the type, this seems to work willy-nilly, where some

How can I disable drag and drop editing in the Design view? I often am trying to select multiple paragraphs to apply a style, but sometimes, without realizing it, I am actually moving text when i drag the mouse. I never use drag and drop editing and have turned it off in other products but cannot figure out how to do that in Robohelp. Thanks.

RH says it can't find Word on my PC. Can't update in RH (option greyed out) or Bridge - it can't check for updates

Hi all,This one has me stumped. Some of the files in our RH projects are in all upper-case.  In these all-cap files, the RH search isn't working, even if I copy'n'paste the term from the content into the Find box.  (It DOES work if I search the source, but just searching the page doesn't.)If I duplicate the file and the dupe is in lower-case, search works like you'd expect.In the example below, the same term is in both of these files. But you can only get a search result on the acheck file -- the ACTRENUM one returns zilch.My *guess* is the problem is more with the .HTML extension than the filename itself, but a guess is all it is.Has anyone seen this before? And maybe encountered a way to fix it without duplicating possibly dozens of files? (This is RH 2015 btw)Thanks!Christian

I'm developing a responsive HTML5 application where the same pages, that will be viewed on smartphones, should have different content when viewed in the desktop version.For example, on a specific page to be viewed on desktop version, I will provide a full-size horizontal infographic. This same page, when viewed on smartphone, will have another version of the infographic, smaller and vertical.I made tests putting the two versions of the content (desktop and smartphone) in a same page HTML, each inside a different DIV (_desktop  and _smartphone). I have few question question regarding importing word 2016 document into RoboHelp 2015:1. Is RoboHelp 2015 Support importing the word 2016 Documents (64 bit)?2. Can RoboHelp 2015 work with any MS Word Version(2013-2016) 32 bit ?3. From one of the forums, we understood that RoboHelp 2015 supports only word 32 bit version  -                a)What is the patch we need if we continue working on 64 bit version of  Word 2016?               b)How soon in future we see RoboHelp 2015 Compatible with Word 2016(64 bit) assuming everyone is on 64 bit software these days?

We are currently using RoboHelp 9, but because the company is going to upgrade to Word 365, we are having issues creating wordfiles. We are looking into upgrading our Technical Communication Suite, or perhaps only RoboHelp, to 2017. Is it possible to open our RoboHelp 9 projects in RoboHelp 2017?

When I try to import a Word doc into Robohelp 11, I receive an error message that Robohelp does not detect MS Word and that I need to install the program. I don't understand why I am getting this message. I have MS Word 2016 installed. Does anyone know how I might set Robohelp to detect Word and import Word documents?

I created a new Master Page in my RoboHelp2015 project. Previously when I created a new topic, the topic title automatically appeared in the title when I opened it to edit. But with the new Master Page, it does not. Is there a specific code that I need to add to my Master Page? Currently, I have text in place of the title in the Master Page.

If a topic in my RH project has only 1 heading, I don’t want a mini-TOC; if a topic has more than 1 heading, I do want a mini-TOC.How do I do this? I’m using RoboHelp 2015.

Hi! I am using Robohelp HTML and version 11.0.0.179. I am new to Robohelp and don't understand most of it. I have finished my project and when my co-worker generates the file, the pages look nice (full pages). But when I generate it, I get pages that end when the text or images are done. We generate it from the same location (on our network). I've even tried generating from my local drive and it still does not work.Co-workers generated file:My generated file:She said it had something to do with the unchecking of the "Limit the scope of project styles only to topic contents" in the Optimization section when generating the file, and it's unchecked, but still looks like above.

i have a help project created with RoboHelp 2017 , HTML Output .. i need to integrate it with my Web App (ASP.NET C#) ,i checked the manual , and followed the steps ,Copied RoboHelp_CSH.cs into the Solution,tried to add a reference for MSXML2.DLL but it wasn't there (i run Windows 10) so i downloaded it off the internet ..but i'm still getting issues like "using HHCTRLLib;" this library is no where to be found and i even can't find it on the interneteven the RoboHelp_CSH.cs file which the manual instructed to fetch from the RoboHelp installation folder is full of errors and undefined referencesplease advice ..
