Dear geniuses of RoboHelp, I do have another challenge for you ! Does anyone know how to make an autoplay video ? I want the video to play automatically when it appears entirely on the page. The video I use is a .mp4, and my version of Robohelp is 2022.4.179.The video is working correctly when we press the play button. Thanks !
Hi, I have a project through which I generate Frameless Output. Now, we require PDF output. There is an issue in generating the entire pdf at once. When I select the entire toc to generate pdf, it gets stuck at "Transforming into PDF pages". When I divide the toc into a smaller part, it gets generated. The observation here is that if the toc is around 300-400, then it gets generated, but when it is more, it is not generated. My PC is an i5 with 16GB of RAM, is my PC not able to handle it, or is it RoboHelp?
Hi allI would like your opinions on the following: Is there now a cost for Java Runtime Environment 8 or later (64-bit)?If there is a cost, and I used OpenJDK 8 or later instead, would that impact the look and layout of my existing PDF output? Thank you.Michelle
Last week, I was working in RH Classic 2019 all morning. I closed it and opened it several times. I then did an update and reboot for my docking station. Big mistake. Now RH opens but won't load any of my projects. It freezes up and stops responding. I've rebooted my computer. I've reinstalled my RH software. I even tried deleting the cpd file. I tried opening one of the RH sample projects and they don't load either. I tried running Updates from RH but all that did was update me to (not classic) RH and asked me for a rhpj file instead of xpj. It won't load a project. I contacted my IT department and they suggested that I reinstall my docking station software & make sure my Windows files were up to date & reboot. I did that. RH still won't load any projects. It opens just fine. It just won't load any projects. Any suggestions?
I'm crossposting this from my work account in the FM group in the hopes that someone here might have some ideas, as so far, I haven't found a solution. Hello all.I working on a large project with RH 2022.4.179 and am wondering how (or even if) I can apply condition tags to "shared" content so the same content, with the proper condition tag can display the appropriate version of the text in a different chapter. For background:We used to have 5 different applications and a recent overhaul of the product technology rolled all 5 (plus one more) into the same application, with each of the previously independent product now being a module or mode of the new, all-encompassing app. For the first rollout of the product documentation, I published each module (prviously standalone application) separately but now I must roll everything into a single, unified guide. My problem is:Two of the previously independent apps (now separate modules) share a large amount of underlying code and my former colleague who wrote the documentation at the time used condition tags to share the 85-90% of the content that the apps had in common. I have a handful of help topics that do not publish along with the rest.I have to manually copy them to the serverThese topics show in the Topic List.I've even tried importing them multiple times to see if that fixes itAnd it is always the same handful that don't publish FWIW: I had to rebuild my project file in late November and the problem occurred after that
Using Responsive Azure Blue and selecting Tablet mode, the header suddenly disappears if I select a topic from my TOC, and then click the Home logo link in the header. This same behavior can be seen in the Azure Blue preview in the RoboHelp, and not just the generated output. Anyway to stop the header from disappearing in Tablet mode?
Do not have the option to reset the number value in an auto-numbered paragraph. Option appears to be missing in the content properties. I am pretty sure it was available in last release. Seems broken (AGAIN) in latest version. Not sure why this is so damned hard for the development team to figure out. Version 2022.4.179
I have many warning notes that are structured as tables.These are also included in the list of tables in the PDF output of RH2022. Is there a way to exclude certain tables from the list of tables?
I work with a team that uses RoboHelp. I do some editing — but not enough to justify installing RoboHelp, et al — so I work with the raw HTML in a text editor.We've recently added a TOC. But when I edit the TOC file, the changes do not appear on the actual pages. For example, if I change...<page navtitle="ARICLE TITLE" href="../path/article.htm" format="html" processing-role="normal"></page>...to...<page navtitle="ALTERNATIVE ARICLE TITLE" href="../path/article.htm" format="html" processing-role="normal"></page> That new navtitle doesn't change on the actual page. I'm hoping someone here can tell me what I'm missing here. Is there another file that I have to edit in tandem with the .toc file? Is there something in the CSS? Or am I just out of luck, and have to ask my teammates to make these edits for me — or download sevreal GB if intrusive software just to make this one edit? Thanks!
I tried asking this yesterday and didn't get many responses so I'm trying again. My footers are def weird. Does anyone know why this random yellow "banner bar" is showing up down at the bottom of the page and how can I remove it? When I toggle the static footer option in my template editor nothing changes. I created my footer using a topic layout which I have then added to the topic layout line of the frameless preset. The footer ends up in the middle of the page right underneath the content. To move it this far down I added a bunch of returns (but I'm sure that is not the best way to accomplish this.) What is the static footer option for if not to do exactly what I'm asking which is to put the footer in the correct spot and keep it there? Something just isn't right. I see a bunch of stuff online about the very same behavior as I'mdescribing with the footer showing up in the middle of the screen on a topic where there is
I am trying to copy the style (background color, font, etc.) from table 1 to table 2 but I cannot find a Format Painter like option in Robohelp. The table 1 is custom styled but instead of copying the HTML at its backend, I am looking for a way to simply apply this style to table 2. Is there a way for that?
I have upgraded my Robohelp to the newest version 2022.04.179. I am using the merge project functionality., however I'm having difficulties getting my format (paragraph spacing, font sizing, etc.) to stick from the word document onto a topic page. I tried using the default CSS and created a new CSS, unfortunately none of the formatting stuck. I tried formatting the word document before importing into Robohelp, copy and paste from the word doument onto an existing topic page. I know that Adobe confirmed that it's a known issue. We were using word document importing for our whole project. What can we did or get to make this simpler and for the formatting not be an issue? Thank you.
Hello,I'm reaching out to seek some advice regarding an issue I'm encountering while trying to collaborate with SharePoint using RoboHelp.I've followed all the necessary steps as outlined in the RoboHelp and SharePoint documentation, including setting up the SharePoint connection, configuring the necessary permissions, and ensuring that all settings align correctly. Despite this, whenever I attempt to connect, I keep receiving a "Request pending" screen, and it never successfully connects.Are there any additional steps or configurations that I'm missing?
Hi everyone,I am trying to edit the styles in Robohelp (accessible through the S button on the right toolbar) and when I change the font style, weight, and other stuff for a style and save it, it gets lost somewhere. I apply the modified style to a text and nothing happens. When I go back to that style, the changes that I had made are lost and all the fields are set to none. Has anyone experienced this? Any workarounds for this?
I would like to request an update for Modern RoboHelp to fix some spelling issues. The following issues are occurring in my documents that just seem to be an issue with RoboHelp:Special characters - If a word has a special character next to it, it is often marked as mispelled. Example: Default is marked correct. "Default is marked as mispelled.Capitalized - If you add a word to the library, the same word with a capital letter at the front will still be marked mispelled.Replace capitals - If a capitalized word is mispelled, if you let RoboHelp correct it, it replaces the word with a non-capitalized version. Example. 'Defalt sentence.' has the first word mispelled. If you have RoboHelp fix it, the result is 'default sentence.'Span interuption - If there is a span in a word, the word is considered multiple words and thus mispelled. For example: 'Hello' has a span on the last half of the word (I tried to do it with bold, but it was hard to see, so I used text size.) Modern RoboHelp will se

Dear genius that will solve my problem, here is the thing : As I was changing my template, the toctiles disappeared suddenly. Therefore, I choose the same one (untouched) to see what was the difference but there's none ! Any ideas ? I am attaching screenshots to this post.
I am using RH Version 2022.3.93 and am publishing projects to SharePoint for the first time. Search functionality works perfectly when I publish a project for the first time. However, when I republish the project, searching doesn't work, and the browser crashes. Searching works perfectly if I create a new folder with a unique name to publish the project to. If I republish with the same folder name, searching doesn't work, even when I delete the original folder from SharePoint.
I have been using RH 2020 for a few years to generate CHMs. This year I keep getting the following errors whenever I try to access external links (company website, support portal etc) from within a CHM. They were working last year.The only difference is that I am using a different VM this time.Can anyone help?
I am converting from WebWorks to RoboHelp 2020.7.46. I imported Framemaker 16.0.5.1096 source files (used for both help and PDF manuals) into RH. I've converted the topic files and added index entries and so on, but when I generate Responsive HTML5 help, I get a frame within a frame in my output. I'm hoping it's a simple set-up solution. I didn't see duplicates in the HTML source.
Hi,I want to upload my Output Project into my GitHub repository , but I have some problems.In the Collaborate menu doesn't appear the gitHub commands such as commit, push, pull, etc.We uploaded the output project in gitHub using the cmd terminal using the gitHub commands.When we select in the Collaborate menu, "Add project" an error appears, like this: Invalid conection selected The current project is not in the selected local pathWe would like to use github from Robohelp and not from cmd.Someone can help me something about this theme?Does someone can tell me what I am doing wrong?
