Greetings,I am using RoboHelp version 2022.1.188. I have a question please about the buttons at the bottom right of the topic page in the Oceanic skin (screen capture below). Would anyone be able to direct me to the location where these are buttons stored? I don’t see them in the publish/skins/Oceanic directory and I didn’t see details by using Inspect View. The reason I ask is that I’d like to use Adobe Illustrator to change the color of the buttons.
I am a RoboHelp 2020 user. Can I install 2022 without uninstalling RoboHelp 2020 and use both?

I have a project for helpfiles on Robohelp2019 where suddenly the generate option always results in an errror: failed to generate.Generating from this project always worked in the past, and no changes were made to any of the contents since the last successful generate. The last action in Robohelp was creating a new skin in the 'skins' tab, then trying to generate with the skin (default Azure_blue skin). This resulted in a generate error. After removing the skin again, the error remained. Now the entire project will no longer generate, even though all the settings and content are exactly the same as before. The loading bar from the generate displays 'copying asset files' right before returning the error.When checking the log, the last entry is: 'Packaging Microsoft HTML Help...'Followed by: Error: (it's just blank) Any ideas as to why Robohelp suddenly decided to no longer generate for this project?
I have the same question but the answers below don't seem to provide the proper solution. If I right-click on a topic and open in a new tab, I see the "Click here to see this page in full context" link, but I would like the page to automatically open in full context, with the TOC in the sidebar. Is there a way to do this? I am using RoboHelp 2022.
Hi! I'm facing an issue when selecting an image file to enclose in the <fig> tag. In process of updating an image file, the RoboHelp tool is taking very long to display the files in the directory and upload the selected file.Image dialog box and Select Image File dialog box are responsive. And, after a while, either one of them starts crashing (Not responding message). Moreover, after the image is selected, when I proceed to resize. It doesn't happen in one go. I had to close the dialog box and open it again to do that.
Hi everyone.So I finally upgraded my Robohelp Classic 2019 project to Robohelp 2022 (New UI). But it just so happens that several of my TOCs (which were converted from the original .hhc to .toc) are empty. This happens not only in RH 2022, where their indexes are empty, but also when I open the .toc files. This, whoever, only happened with some TOCs, while others are fine.Does anyone have a clue on what might be the issue?Thank you,Filipe
Good afternoon, I have set up my child project folders and parent project folder. When I start freash with nothing in any of the folders, ny child projects generate in their correct location. I can click the index and the page only displays the one project. After I generate the parent project and go back to the child project index, all the child projects appear in the output. Can you help be determine why I have to clear the folders and generate againg to only see one child project in the output after I generate the parent project?To summerize:Generate both child projects.index.htm 1 - child project 1index.htm 2 - child project 2The respective index only show the corrosponding childGenerate the parent projectGenerate the parent project. Index 1,2, and the parent index show all the child projects.

Hi, I need help to buy Robohelp VIP license (Subscription license) in China. There is distributer list on Adobe web site. However, I can not find the right distributer even though I have contacted to more than 10 distributers located near shanghi city on the list. Probably the list may be for Adobe Illustrator some other software products which are non RoboHelp software. Thank you for you help in advance. Have a good day! Version: RoboHelp 2019Output: Responsive HTML5 Hello - I'm looking for some guidance on how to add a canonical link/url tag into robohelp topics. We publish our help to several production platforms and Google search finds all the duplicate help files. In an effort to optimize search results, we want to insert a canonical url tag into the header section of each help topic to tell google that there may be multiple copies of the same file, and then add the full url/path to one platform as the primary version. Does anyone have experience with this that you can share? Is there a way to define the platform base URL in one place and then use it in all topics automatically?
I encountered an issue while trying to install Robohelp 2019. After logging in on the browser during the setup process, I am presented with a white screen and unable to proceed further. Additionally, I attempted to install the trial version of Robohelp 2022, but encountered a similar issue. Hello, I need help with resolving cancellation of teo payments - ID of transactions attached. I did not intentionally or consciously purchased any product (anything connected with adobe - Adobe Pro/Adobe Creative/Adobe whatever). However, two payments of 99.9€ each, were already proccessed. I have two kids (5 nad 13years) and my finances are severský "tight". These two payments for something I do not use (not once - even don't know for which of wide range of offered products) makes it an existentional problem and severly worsened life conditions for me and my kids. I would like to politely ask for considering conditions of this unfortunate situation and consent to cancel the payments and funds returning. Thank you in advance for your reply. As I am producing user documentation in two languages (Spanish and English) I have the following project structure: a master project, without content, that links to a project in English and another project in Spanish.In the master project, I am using English language because I want it to appear by default in the home page and from here the user can select the language.What I need is that once the user has selected "spanish" in the home page, instead of "How can we help?" the spanish text appears (which is in output -> labels). But I have the impression that the language selected in the master project is the one used in the two child projects.How do I get only "¿Cómo te puedo ayudar?" instead of "How can we help?" to appear in the Spanish project?Thanks in advance!
I have a set of help files in .hlp and .hpj format that were made using RoboHelp 8 For Word. We would like to switch to .chm format so that the current version of our software can send users to it. I just installed RoboHelp 2022, which can seemingly only open .rhpj files or can upgrade from .xpj files. The RoboHelp 8 For Word software is on an old computer, and opening RoboHelp 8 HTML on that machine to save as .xpj has not been very successful. We have tried using Help&Manual to convert the old files to .chm but this requires a ton of manual editing. We were hoping that going the RoboHelp 2022 process would be more effortless. What are our options?

After I do a fresh publish, I can see the updated, newly published help files. But when I open the same files in Chrome I do not see the most current version. I am using Robo Help 2019 and Chrome113.0.5672.93 (64 bit). Other users are having the same experience. Thank you for any and all input.
Hi,Running RH 2022.2.22 on a windows PC. I generate frameless output and view output. When I search on the landing page, it's super slow as I type. But once I go to a topic and search, the speed is normal as expected. After I go to a topic page, and go back to the landing page, landing page is still slow to search. See attached video for demo. Hi everyone,I'm on RH 2022.2.22.I'm using the Basic PDF output and have created several Page Layouts, e.g. for my cover page.Here's the problem: We have two cover pages (one with no footer, the second with a footer containing my company's name and address, one after the other (so we use both at the same time!). My regular content contains a different footer.So here's my question:Is there a way to apply the two Page Layouts to the first two pages? I know that in the settings, I can set one for the Cover Page and several others, but not for a specific page that is not the first/last/toc/glossary/index etc.Alternatively, is there a way to create a Page Layout with more than one page? I can only see the one sheet of paper - if I could add a second page to that, that would solve my problem as well.Thanks for any advice!CheersCarolin
Hello fellow tech writers, I am using RoboHelp Version 2022.2.22. I understand that RH needs JRE to generate PDFs. On my computer, I have JRE 1.8.0.202. In RH, under Edit > Preferences> Tools, I set the Java home path as C:/Program Files (x86)/Java/jre1.8.0_202. However, when I try to gen PDF output, it’s not working. I get this message: Failed to generate PDF-Category-mgt [my pdf preset]. Check log for more details. Does anyone have advice on how to set up JRE to work with RH. How deep in the folder structure does the home path have to be?Where can I find the log files? There is no link in the error message that would allow me to view the log file. Hi, I use RH 2019 to maintain HTML Help (chm files) projects for our proprietory software in multiple European and Asian languages. For every language, the multiple chm files are merged into a master Help file that gets displayed on clicking Help button of our software app's ribbon bar. There us no issue with Europeam languages that use thr Roman script (English alphabet). But with Asian languages, the index tab of the master file are a huge pain point. The webpages are rendered correctly; the merged Table of Contents is also rendered correctly. But click on the Index tab, it displays a merged set of indexes full of garbage values displayed. It needs to be pointed out that these display text of the indexes are garbage values but they function correctly by displaying the corresponding Help webpage when you click them. I am migrating from an earlier version of RH to 2022. I currently have the trial version, awaiting approval fro a full licence. The existing TOC includes some links to external files that I would like to retain and surface in the Search results. Previous versions used baggage files to do this, but RH support told me that baggage files have been depricated in 2022. Is there a way to do this in RH 2022 or are they any workarounds?
When publishing projects the message 'Publishing Cancelled - Access Denied' is displayed although it would appear that it has published correctly. However by displaying the message it stops further publishing until the error is cleared. As you can appreciate this is a major inconvenience when publishing a large number of projects. Can anyone help please
