After I do a fresh publish, I can see the updated, newly published help files. But when I open the same files in Chrome I do not see the most current version. I am using Robo Help 2019 and Chrome113.0.5672.93 (64 bit). Other users are having the same experience. Thank you for any and all input.

Hi,Running RH 2022.2.22 on a windows PC. I generate frameless output and view output. When I search on the landing page, it's super slow as I type. But once I go to a topic and search, the speed is normal as expected. After I go to a topic page, and go back to the landing page, landing page is still slow to search. See attached video for demo. Hi everyone,I'm on RH 2022.2.22.I'm using the Basic PDF output and have created several Page Layouts, e.g. for my cover page.Here's the problem: We have two cover pages (one with no footer, the second with a footer containing my company's name and address, one after the other (so we use both at the same time!). My regular content contains a different footer.So here's my question:Is there a way to apply the two Page Layouts to the first two pages? I know that in the settings, I can set one for the Cover Page and several others, but not for a specific page that is not the first/last/toc/glossary/index etc.Alternatively, is there a way to create a Page Layout with more than one page? I can only see the one sheet of paper - if I could add a second page to that, that would solve my problem as well.Thanks for any advice!CheersCarolin

Hello fellow tech writers,  I am using RoboHelp Version 2022.2.22.  I understand that RH needs JRE to generate PDFs.   On my computer, I have JRE 1.8.0.202.  In RH, under Edit > Preferences> Tools, I set the Java home path as C:/Program Files (x86)/Java/jre1.8.0_202. However, when I try to gen PDF output, it’s not working.  I get this message:  Failed to generate PDF-Category-mgt [my pdf preset]. Check log for more details. Does anyone have advice on  how to set up JRE to work with RH. How deep in the folder structure does the home path have to be?Where can I find the log files?  There is no link in the error message that would allow me to view the log file.  There are no log files in my RH project folders. Thanks,Bob Shairulla

Hi, I use RH 2019 to maintain HTML Help (chm files) projects for our proprietory software in multiple European and Asian languages. For every language, the multiple chm files are merged into a master Help file that gets displayed on clicking Help  button of our software app's ribbon bar. There us no issue with Europeam languages that use thr Roman script (English alphabet). But with Asian languages, the index tab of the master file are a huge pain point. The webpages are rendered correctly; the merged Table of Contents is also rendered correctly. But click on the Index tab, it displays a merged set of indexes full of garbage values displayed. It needs to be pointed out that these display text of the indexes are garbage values but they function correctly by displaying the corresponding Help webpage when you click them. Here are the hygiene factors I maintain and yet receive a very garbage outcome (taking Japanese language as example):1. I am migrating from an earlier version of RH to 2022. I currently have the trial version, awaiting approval fro a full licence. The existing TOC includes some links to external files that I would like to retain and surface in the Search results. Previous versions used baggage files to do this, but RH support told me that baggage files have been depricated in 2022. Is there a way to do this in RH 2022 or are they any workarounds? 

When publishing projects the message 'Publishing Cancelled - Access Denied' is displayed although it would appear that it has published correctly. However by displaying the message it stops further publishing until the error is cleared. As you can appreciate this is a major inconvenience when publishing a large number of projects. Can anyone help please

We have a concern in Robohelp 2022, version 2022.2.22. Want to see only contents for the selected modules with left page navigation. Let’s say if we have 10 Main headings for a project, in the output, the application should display only the selected heading and its sub-topics in the left navigation pane others should not be visible. How we can achieve this?

Hi everybody, im using Robohelp 2022.0.346.I have a project and the translation project.when i try to use the "link an existing translated project " option, and  press "DONE" this happens.The program crash.Can someone tell me if i have to do an extra step, or have had the same error?.thanks. 

Good afternoon all, So after fixing our netskop issue we now have an issue with adding images to a project in a source control environment. When user 1 add the image , topic has to be checked 3 times before user 2 can get the image via version control> Insert image> Check in topic> Image in sharepoint server is added but checked out however image is not checked out in RH> User 1 check in topic > image is checked in  and listed under "edit" but does not appear checked in in the sharepoint server.User 1 check in topic several times showing that the image as "edit" in the pop up windowUser 2 finally get the image after getting the latestAny ideas because we have already lost 2 weeks of migration with Netskope? Thank you!

We are fairly new to using robohelp and are unable to create the connection profile in robohelp to publish to SharePoint Online.   When creating the profile, I am prompted to log into Microsoft.  When I log in, I receive a SharePoint site error that says "Could not find site. Check if you have permission for this site." Our IT team has whitelisted the necessary sites and granted us what we think are the right permissions.   I have a feeling we need Admin level Microsoft permissions to grant Robohelp rights to publish to our SharePoint Intranet page.   We can upload the project files and folders to the site to publish, but we have merged projects so  uploading does not seem to be an option for us. Any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful.   Thank you very much.

I think of myself a pretty advanced user of RoboHelp (over 20 years). We recently upgraded projects from RoboHelp 2017 to RoboHelp 2020. The upgraded was valided sucessfully.I have added the upgraded projects to SharePoint Online and can see the projects through the RoboHelp Collaborate connection profile.However, I have struggled to download a project from SharePoint online for myself or any of my technical writers. The Adobe documentation provides a simple three-step instructions that simply is not working for us.Please help...I am frustrated. Regards  

Hi Folks, Using RH 2019.The oover page of my user guide has a hero graphic which is meant to display across the full width of the page.When I create the PDF, the image apppears but has the same border settings as the rest of the doc. I suspect I have to change some settings in the Master Page. Not sure what. Should I create a new master page for the cover page? PS - I've tried changing the image settings, eg remove padding etc, with no success. Any suggestions on how to do this? 

Robohelp 2022 version having issue in importing the word document. The importing status remain in progress continuously and doesnt stop. Word file also doesnt get imported remains empty. Please assist.

I am running Rh 2022.2.22.  I user GitHub to publish my output to our company secure server. When I created an output on 5/5/2023, there were a lot of new ".js" and ".js.gz" files on each topic. These new files are creating conflicts and GitHub is not allowing me to deploy my files to the secure server. What are the web service requirements to host a Robohelp output?  

Hi all, I'm having an untold number of problems with RH2020 - and had just as many problems with RH2019. Has anyone had any issues with getting Share for Review to work? After looking at Peter's guidance, I notice my 'Share' box is lacking options. When I try to start the review session, it says 'Unable to start sharing':  

I would like to remove the right-hand search field from my generated help. I've been digging around in the template editor, but I don't see a way to remove it.I updated my help project to the latest RH version this week.The field I'm trying to remove is circled in black in this screen shot:Thank you!Cindy  

Hi,Does anyone have any experience with Robohelp and Netskope? It seems that Netskope is blocking the ability to create a connection between Robohelp and SharePoint Online, and therefore publishing is blocked.Has anyone else had this issue, and how did you resolve it? thanks,Carmela

Chapter 1  1.1 title 1 .............................. pg2  1.2 title 2 .............................. pg 32. Chapter 2  2.1 title 1.................................pg 4  2.2 title 1................................ pg 5 Is there any way to auto generate the number of the chapters? Thanks in advance

Running RH 2022.2.22 on windows PC.In one topic, I have links to several other topics. When I click on all of them (excpet one), the TOC remains open in the side panel. But when I click this one topic, it complete disappears. The panel is still open, but there is no TOC content. If I collapse and re open the TOC panel, the TOC reappears.  Any ideas what might be happening and how to fix it? Thx. Lori

I am using Robohelp 2020 with update 8 version.I tried to import word document.After converting to htm, some images are not loaded in htm page.

When I try to publish to SharePoint, Robohelp downloads a text file and "about:blank shows up in Chrome.I am using 2022.2.22

In the web help I created, the formatting for the Index and TOC screens which I designed for the skin looks fine in Full Screen but in Tablet mode (half screen), the background is white so the light grey text can't be seen. I didn't format the skin for the half screen; I didn't know it would be different for the Tablet (half screen) mode.  I see this is RoboHelp's default formatting for the half screen Index and TOC screens.How can the background be changed in the skin so that the text is visible?Judy

RBH 2022 with Azure skin. Previous search history text continues to grow each time the end user enters a new search item. With thousands of pages in the help file and countless searches by an end user, I need a way to flush all previous search items from their history. In addtion, during development a noticed that the very first test search text was "test". For some reason there is a black ballon that displays "test" that alway displays when clicking in the search box even if other items were searched for after the initial test.At last, I cannot figure where the light blue search box highlight comes from only when the very first "test" text is selected from the search history even after other searches were made and the other searches did not display the light blue background that only appears when the initial search is selected.  An image is uploaded that demonstrates the undocumented feature:
