RoboHelp

The font and formating of my entire project has updated without explination and is "wonky" to say the least. All of my topics and pages have differen styles, sizes, colors and its a mess. I do not even know where to start! What I current have published is fine, but if I go to edit all pages are all over the place and when I preview it looks that way too. 

I am using a multilevel list in RH 2020, and when I go from the first to the second level there are empty lines (parapgraph end tag) added between the levels (see screenshot).In Webhelp, I don't have any problem in output, but when I generate Word Output, the extra paragraph mark is considered as an extra line. I have even tried switching the css with the default, it doesn't gets removed.

Hello,I have created a project which will be used only to call F1 windows. that means the help will pop up only when '?' is clicked on the particular window. So we don't need TOC for navigation. Using RH 2022, I added a folder, and all the .htm files are within this folder. Now, when I compile the project with a blank TOC, then this folder is blank. Also, I have indexed all the topics within this folder. But, only when I add these topics to the TOC these files appear in the folder after compiling. Please suggest how will these files appear without adding them to the TOC?    

Hi,We have tried to upgrade a classic project of version 5.0 to latest Robohelp 2020(8.34Version). But after upgrading, RoboHelp shows the Project upgraded with issue. But we are unable to see the error. Also we are not getting the Table of contents and Assigned topic for the map ids.Can you please help us.Thanks in advance.

I'm importing a big manual with a lot of topics from Microsoft word. RoboHelp is resorting the heading topics to be in alphabetical order, but I want them to match their original order in the Word file. Is there a way to do this?

I have successfully created a Connection Profile in RoboHelp, connecting to my personal SharePoint Online account.  Works fine. I now wanted to add another Connection Profile, this time connecting to my employer's SharePoint instance. When I click Login during the Connection Profile creation process, it uses my personal login, and this fails. I cannot find a way to provide my work login for this second profile. Any suggestions?

What are the differences between an online Robohelp 2020 subscription and an offline subscription?

Has anyone seen their Output Presets disappear from the project? After closing the project yesterday, I opened it back up to find that there were no more saved presets.  Even worse, now I can't create a new preset. The Mac app is more buttoned up than the Windows version, so there are no directories to wade through, and I don't know of a way to reset preferences. Oddly, I can see the presets in the project directory, though they seem to be too small to contain useful data. I plan on reinstalling Rh for Mac, and also trying to open a copy of the project in Rh for Win. Any other ideas?   -Matt

Hi all, I conditional content in a list of items, and I'm having trouble getting dynamic content filtering to only allow one choice for output (display a radio button) instead of allowing multiple choices (check boxes)  Basically, while I've DEselected the Allow multiple selection in groups option, it still allows me to make multiple selections. It seems simple, and I know I've done this in previous versions...anyone know what I'm doing incorrectly, or whether this is an issue with Rh 2022?  

Hello Everyone,I recently installed Robohelp 2020 on my new laptop, when I start it, I see initializing, it disappears, and after that Robohelp remains stuck at the Splash Screen. I have the same version in my other laptop and it works fine.I uninstalled this, and installed 2022 version (I am using Windows 11 in the new laptop), same issue with 2022 version, I have tried opeing it with admin rights, and also tried reinstalling it multiple times, but nothing has helped me start Robohelp. RH2022 - Frameless output - also tested with RH2020 update 6.  I am testing out more frameless options (moving from the html5 output).  I inserted a test microcontent group into my toc and then selected Hide In Output in the content properties for the group.When i search using the search term i set for the mc, support in the example screenshot, it brings up the mc in a featured box (which i wanted) but also as a regular search result (and the page the second result takes you to is automatically generated upon build within the mc folder).  Is there a way to prevent the mc from showing up in the regular results?I want to use MC as featured search results only based on our search results metrics (basically include additional information as key results based on previous customer search behavior).  This is how i used microcontent in madcap so I am not sure if i am doing this properly or if its not possible in RH.  Also I have tried populating MC from regul

Not sure if I am just missing this - does anyone know if its possible to remove the list of tables and figures from the Hi-Tech and Prime pdf templates in RH2022?  The editor only allows me to change the page layout/master page and style for the list - but not totally remove it.     

Hello, I'm using 2022 robohelp.Everything is working well while i'm generating my project in HTML5.We are using this project in firefox browser. But some words we are searching for made it bug (for exemple the word "ldap" is working good but the word "alto" makes the browser lagging and the word "gestion" is working but slowly like 2 mins before results appear). So it's like a random search depending on the word you are typing.(We do not have indexes activated, it's only with the search bar) When it happend we need to close and restart firefoxWhat can be the cause of this kind of problem ?  regards,Stephane 

Recently I did an upload to the internet. Now when the search engine is used it is using the file name as the headter, rather than the file title. In the example below you can see the result sould have been returned as 4.1.1.4.1 MFPP Change in Circumstances, not 4_1_1_4_1. This has been working fine for over a year and suddenly it is doing this since my most recent upload to the interent. Using: RH2020

I am attempting to create ordered lists where occaionally an item will contain an in-line image. When I add the image, the line of text automatically moves down to accomodate the space, leaving the number in its usual position. In the screenshot, item 1 is inline with its number, item 2 is slightly off, and item 3 is way off. I've attempted adjusting different settings without any success. To make things more confusing, I also need this this function correctly in multilevel, mixed lists where bullets are used for the second and third tiers.   

I'm using RH 2022 on a Win10 machine. My counterpart is using the same version on Win11. We use Git's command line interface to commit and push changes to a common repository. We have a lot of linked images in the assets\images folder that keep losing their links. I suspect Git is the root of the problem, but I'm not sure how to prove that. I have several questions:If unrelated to Git, are images losing their links a known issue? I did a search of the community and didn't see anything particularly relevant.The images folder is incredibly slow to open (it takes several seconds) and doing anything in RH with it open causes significant lag. Is there anything I can do to speed this up?Because it takes so long to scroll through the images folder (due to the lag), is there an easier way to find these files that were linked that aren't anymore? Like a report or something? With so many images, searching for the missing green link arrow is visually difficult (like a needle in a haysta

I'd like to give people the option to give feedback on topics, maybe even publicly for public-generated content.Can this be done in HTML help with some scripts, or only if I publish to certain formats such as Zendesk? Any experiences or recommendations appreciated.

I'm new to Robohelp and would like to ask how can I make my documentation accessible online for people outside my network. I don't have any of the Server types listed in the following image. do I need to purchase RoboHelp Server? Thanks 

Hi All, I authored a project in the just-previous version of RoboHelp, and upon updating the application to the current version my project will not open. On first attempt it said the project needed to be upgraded, and after that it never loads. It hangs perpetually on "Reading Files". I'm currently downloading a previous version of Robo to see if rolling back will help - but any advice from the community will be most appreciated. I'm very, *very* stuck at this point. Installed version is 2020.8.34. Windows 10 machine. Best regards - and thanks in advance!Tim

Hi everyone,I'm working on a frameless template with a font called Source Sans Pro. I have added it to the fonts in the Project settings. It is set as the font wherever needed. Once I publish my frameless template, for me it is displaying the correct font. However, the fonts are not embedded (or at least not correctly - they can be found in the output folder) - if opened in a browser on a computer without Source Sans Pro installed, the fall-back font Times New Roman is used.Is there a setting I am missing?Any help would be appreciated!Happy Holidays!Carolin

I’m currently using Robohelp Classic 19 merge project function. Our Merge project consist of six child projects nested in one parent project, with future plans of expanding to several other child projects as well. Is there a way to configure it, where it will isolate the search functionality to search in only a specific child project within the parent project? We are trying to avoid users getting multiple hits on search keywords, when they may only need to be looking at information as it pertains to one of the child projects.

Hello. I'm currently using the individual license of Robohelp and I'm the sole Technical Writer in my company. I'm kind of new to using the product and I was wondering if I can publish my documentation online using the Individual license or if I need to upgrade to the VIP license. Because when I tried Frameless or HTML publishing, it said it is published as a local or shared file. Also, the review function does not seem to work under the Individual license. Any help regarding the differences between licenses is very much needed. Thank you. 

I am using Robohelp 2019.  Have an existing project that has been working just fine.  I added two new topics and they appear in the topic list of the project I am in, but the html files are being stored in a different project location, not the one I'm work in; hence do not publish to the server along with the rest of the existing ones.  Can't figure out why - does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, I have some old help files that were created in older version of Robohelp.When I import those files and republish them, without making any change, glossary and index, which was on Right side of page is getting moved to bottom of page and as soon as i open help portal, screen jumps to bottom of the page towards index. My current version of robohelp is 2020.5.71 Thanks,Prashant

Using RH 2022, Version 2022.0.346In the RH 2022 HTML editor, I am editing my Topic Layout page. I am looking at this code that has zero errors.I compile and view my output and am happy to see that the URL of the current page displays in the output, meaning my test worked.I decide to hide the lines that start with < h2 > through the ending < / script > tag because I may want it for future reference but I don't want to include that section "now" so I add the <!—and --> code before the < h2 > and after the < / script > tag. When I do that, the HTML editor claims I have to have a start tag for the < / script > tag, saying that the tag must be paired:Why did the original code not generate an error and by hiding that bit of code, I see an error?
