Problem (which is with the progress bar, and not the actual .xml file) is already fixed in PPro betas, and will be fixed in PPro's next official release.

Hi @Reyna37134984uttm - I believe your issue is a known issue.

Issue: Windows customers may see an “Import Files” dialog box that never completes in the following conditions:

  • The Learn, LibrariesFrame.io panel, or any panel listed in Windows > Extensions, is turned on.
  • An AAF, Final Cut Pro XML, or EDL file is being imported.

Workaround: When importing these file types, first close the above-listed panels. The panels can be turned on again after the import has been completed.

@Bruce Bullis  sorry for the delay, I was rolled back to 25.0beta for a bit due to this issue making it impossible for me to work on the 25.1 beta -- I can confirm for you that in the current beta build (47) importing pluraleyes xml's seems to be working once again as per usual without needing to close any extension panels. Not sure what was going on there but glad to see it was resolved! thank you for identifying a potential work around in the meantime

We've recently fixed a problem that seems related to what you've described; do you see the same problem, in the current PPro beta build?

Hi @Log.In agency

This is a known issue that has been fixed in the latest beta version of Premiere Pro. I am moving your post to the discussion that has been ongoing with this issue. Look for the fix to also be in 25.1 once released. In the meantime you can import XML's into the beta.

Thank you,

Ian

Attempting to import an XML from Resolve -- Premiere is hanging on the "importing files" dialog.  confirmed multiple times, hangs for over 10 minutes.

the system has not frozen, however, and one can still click cancel and be sent immediatley back to whatever the state the project was in before trying to bring in the xml timeline.  In this case, a totally blank project.

The same xml imports just fine into v 24.6.3, as I've been doing this workflow since about 2015 or so.

Any ideas?  Pretty devastating issue for me, and will keep me on 24.6.3.

I updated to the latest Beta version and now I'm stuck at importing an XML file.

Quick background. I am using a custom app to collate all of my clips and generate XML for that. Been doing this for years without any problem. But today, when I updated PR, I am stuck at importing the files.

confirming : you see the same behavior in 25.0 official builds, AND the 25.1 beta?

Hello everyone!
Updating Premiere Pro to the latest version October 2024 update (25.0) I encountered a problem that Premiere Pro cannot import an XML file after PluralEyes synchronization.
Everything hangs on the Importing Files window
Maybe someone knows how to solve this problem?
And yes, we pay Adobe a lot of money, is it really impossible to make the basic tools of Premiere Pro so that they work normally????

Of course, I would use the integrated synchronization by sound, but in Premiere Pro this functionality is implemented just terribly, as well as many other things.

Hello! I am trying to import a file to my project, and the import window doesn't appear. It disables everything else as if a window is open, but it isn't there. (Note I only have one screen so it's not like it's on another monitor.) I have to keep closing it down with the task manager. I appreciate the help with this. Thank you!

No offense but if this is the best update of 2024 from Adobe, its really dissapointing. But my main problem is when i try to import a XML sequence from Davinci because Davinci its better for color in all the aspects. In premiere, its stay in the "Import Files" window and its a problem when i need to finish in time. No big deal,  no big sequence like 20 clip, 1 minute, 4k, 23fps, only color, no slowmo, no transitions, no audio, nothing. In the cracked version of my friend, yeah it work and so fast. Idk if i need to go to the 2024 ver again. HELP.

Hi, same problem but sometimes if you "drag" your file from the folder "explorer-finder" it works!

What is incredible is the problem is with psd files, and the issue with .mxf files...

These are not tiny bugs, we are talking about structural things.

Have a good day.

Hi @ck_rocks,

Thanks for the message. Is it possible to show us a screen movie of this issue? Can the team have more information? See, How do I write a bug report?

I hope we can help you. Sorry for the problem.

By the way, PSD files are also not importable if it's done via the context Import menu in the Project bin, but I think people have already filed these reports somewhere here, because there are dozens of complaints on Reddit about it

There is certainly an issue with the project bin which used to scroll in the previous builds, please, see this message @Bruce Bullis

Hello!

There is no screen shot to show you because nothing appears. That's the
problem. Seems to be hit and miss if the import window appears or not.
Since right clicking in the PROJECT window isn't working, I ended up doing
a work around by using the old fashioned way by clicking FILE>IMPORT. That
worked.

Thanks!
