Have you tried copying the assets to a new document and resaving as new? I'm wondering if there is some legacy aspect that is corrupting them.

Are you using a font manager with Photoshop plug ins or are you loading these directly into your computer font folder? Also what system and version of PS are you using?

What version of Mac OS are you running? CS5.1 is not compatible with newer OSes. There is no guarantee if it running if you've upgraded past the last supported MacOS.

I'm guessing the original file was not created in Illustrator based on the results. When it comes to gradients, Illustrator will do one of two things - it will either bring in a raster version of the image or it wont show up at all. If you change to Outline mode, you will probably notice a rectangle around where the gradient should be. If this was created in Illustrator, what version was the original?

Talk to the printer - you should never have to build your file at full size. They should be able to give you specs to build your files to scale and they enlarge using their RIP system to output at full size.

Check your print settings. There are options to allow the printer to handle the color or let InDesign/Adobe handle it.

The other users subscription licenses his Adobe ID, not the software. So if you are logging in and do not have an active subscription it wont allow you use until you subscribe.

That is a seriously risky "workaround" that is dependent on the last time your auto-backup ran. You can change the timing in your preferences. That tmp file is the backup file created every 10 minutes not what you were saving at that exact point in time.

This is the common excuse from vendors - "Adobe broke it". What they aren't telling you is that they don't have an update to match Acrobat's current version. Unfortunately, downgrading a product to fit an add-on that has not kept up with the most recent software updates is not the best practice. Hopefully PitStop will have a patch available soon to fix their issue.

8 gb is extremely low for AI 2017 and Sierra. You have to remember that is the TOTAL memory you have installled. Anything else runnin , including your OS takes away from that total. From what I've seen on Apple forums Safari running Sierra on a MB pro can suck most of the RAM leaving other programs lagging. Id upgrade your RAM.

Go to your Photoshop Preferences/Performance and check your Graphic Processor settings. Make sure it detects a graphics card. You can also click "Advanced Settings" and make sure everything is checked. If it is an you are still lagging, try unchecking "Use Open GL" and see if that improves.

How are you printing to the Xerox? Through a Fiery rip or direct? Check your print settings in each program, if you have different settings for output, especially with PS it will handle it differently. Also Xerox printers handle different file types differently as well - an image processes as a raster file, while PDF is a whole other output.

I'm not guessing. I know because we had to adjust our workflow to compensate for the discrepency. Capture, color, etc. all convert using AdobeRGB color spaces. When you import from a mobile app ex. a capture from LR mobile, it tags with Adobe RGB color space in the image. Either way, we are in agreement - the user must assign a properly matched color profile in Photoshop to view the colors exact. In the end it doesn't matter how they look on screen if the hex values match.

Not sure IDML will work since he cannot even open the file to begin with. I'm wondering if this was a direct save onto a mounted/server drive that was interrupted. That can cause a catastrophic flaw in the document itself and would cause it to crash whenever opened. Upon review your file is indeed corrupted and truncated (incomplete save) based on the crash log created.

8 GB of RAM is considerably light for current software products. While it does meet minimum system specs, thats exactly what it is - minimum. I would completely expect AI or other apps to run slow or appear to lock up when running complex art, processes, etc. with only 8 total GB of RAM. You have to remember, Illustrator is not the only process pulling on that RAM. With Sierra running I'm guessing you actually have less than 4 GB available.
