Go to your swatches panel, double click the black swatch (not registration) and change it to a spot color. Then apply the spot swatch to the object stroke or fill. Editing your objects will not work as you expect it to.

CS6 has no guarantee of running on El Cap or newer. You may have upgraded your OS past the point of compatibility. My only suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall, but again no guarantees this would fix your issue.

I would overlap three artboards to the size of your panels and remove the cyan/blue paths.

Log out of all your applications and also on Adobe.com. Quit your apps. Log back in on your browser and check your account status. If the account status is ok proceed to the next step. If not contact Adobe customer care. If it's ok - restart and re-log back into your apps.

Also make sure you have downloaded the latest update to the CC app. Sometimes a mandatory update is required and blocks access to synced items.

One easy option to fix this is to turn off your file syncing with Creative Cloud. That will remove a need for a live internet connection. If you have a ton of files in your CC desktop folder, you could be hogging bandwith with the background sync. Synchronize settings using Creative Cloud

I doubt Photoshop caused this crash. What you are seeing is the file did not complete the save when your computer locked up. Do you have specifics on what was going on when this saved? OS version, Photoshop version, how large was the file? Where were you saving this? All of this wont bring back the file unfortunately, when your computer crashed you lost what you were saving.

Close all your documents. Go to your preferences/display performance and change it there. Be sure to uncheck "Preserve Object-Level Display Settings" or it won't fully adopt this change. Changing Object level settings can really lead to a headache. Changing the document in it's entirety solves a lot of these kinds of issues.

I was wondering if it was outlined because at first glance, it appeared like the snap to pixel grid option had somehow activated in the linked file preview. I would expect to see this kind of transformation glitch in Illustrator natively, not in a linked preview in InDesign.

They could use an update to that document to specifically address this, but in talking with them their stance is a cautious one. I would treat the local OneDrive synced folder as a remote network folder. I would save to the desktop then drag over, or at least disable syncing until you are finished working then reestablish the link. Your concern about concurrency is a valid one.

If you are going to uninstall, you should use the uninstall scripts inside the older application folders. Do not just delete via the OS. It won't cleanly remove the old assets. I'm not one to keep older versions on the same system indefinitely as they can cause conflicts with shared system resources. It's not just about disk space. But keeping them to ensure the newer version is stable is a safe move.

They did not invalidate serials, but what has happened is your serial was not released from the original install. You'll have to call Adobe to have them reset it.

As a cost-effective alternative to Extensis, I like FontExplorer. It's very much like an iTunes interface and most upgrades are free. I used to have to manage both in an office and I ended up paying over $500 more over the course of three upgrades for Suitcase compared to Explorer. I use FE at home now.

I'm not saying that it is a simple switch to InCopy for existing users. I've trained several newspapers, magazines, publishers to use InCopy effectively in their existing workflow so I know the effort it takes. But in the end everyone was accepting and pleased with the accessibility it gave them. I posted it as a functional solution compared to complaining about InDesign. If people want to collaborate simultaneously in an InDesign document - InCopy is the answer.

Adobe has a solution specific for multiple user collaboration. It's called InCopy. It comes with your CC subscription or you can get it separately for a cheaper solution. It's a great tool for editors, copywriters and designers to all collaborate in one document all at the same time. Read up.
