If that did not help, you can do a few things: - Contact customer support (http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/contact.html) - Post your query on the Photoshop forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop) - Wait for someone in this thread to come up with an answer.

Have you tried entering your serial number in the trial version prompt window? Am guessing that the version available currently must be CS5.5, and if you are unable to use your serial number, it must be because you have the previous version. If this is the case, I'd suggest that you contact customer support. http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/contact.html

I am not sure about whether you can download the 8 version from any of the Adobe sites. I'd suggest contacting customer support. (http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/contact.html). You can call customer support or wait for the chat window to appear using which you can resolve your problem.

You can wait for a confirmation from other people on the forum, but I wonder why you wouldn't want to uninstall CS4. I would recommend taking a backup of all your CS4 work, migrate them to CS5, and then uninstall after you are sure everything is working fine. That should be safe enough I think.

Can you check if this helps: 4. Adobe Download Assistant installs and opens, but the download doesn't start. Under certain conditions, Adobe Download Assistant installs but does not immediately start downloading the trial product. If that happens, refresh the Adobe.com trial download page in your browser and then click the Download Now button again. There are other solutions in this doc: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/898/cpsid_89867.html. If this still doesn't help, I'll ask someone from customer support to reply.

An excerpt from that page Where do I download the Akamai Download Manager? When you download any product from Adobe.com that uses Akamai, Akamai automatically downloads and installs on your computer. Then, it automatically starts to download your Adobe product. If you download additional software or products, you don't have to redownload or reinstall Akamai Download Manager unless you've removed it from your system. If you have removed it from your system, it installs again when you initiate the new download.

You can continue using Adobe Premiere Elements by clicking OK (or whatever is the equivalent button). The contents are templates and themes that are shipped with Adobe Premiere Elements that help you quickly get started with creating movies. If you are the kind of person that don't use templates, you don't have to bother with the message. There is a separate installer for content. If you have purchased the software, there should be a link to install contents on your page. Can you double-check and let us know? I am not sure if you can download contents for the trial version.

It looks like you are taking the more difficult route. I am guessing that there is an option to buy the full version online when you open the software. On the screen telling you that your trial version has expired, there must be a link to buy the full version. After you purchase the software, you are provided with a serial number that you can enter into the trial version expired screen to continue to use the software as a purchased version. Ensure that you have the following on your computer: - A software to burn DVD files (your OS usually ships with one) - A read-write DVD drive - A DVD that allows you to write on to it After you have downloaded the files to a location on your computer, insert the DVD into your computer's DVD drive and use the DVD burning software to copy contents on to your DVD.
