Acrobat won't open. Adobe tells me I have the most recent version of App. but "missing ACE.dll file" error keeps coming up preventing loading. Have downloaded App multiple times without any success. Can't seem to find a "fix-it" website that my security App will allow me to open. Any ideas?
Though DejaVu Sans font is supposed to be part of the options in Adobe Acrobat, it is not. How can I add it so that I can correctly edit a form? Thanks!
Hi everybody !- I have a strange problem - when open pdf-version of IT-magazine 'ComputerActive' in Adobe Acrobat Reader XI with patch #23 letter 'o' is substituted with digit '0'. All other magazines that I collect have no such problem - letter'o' is showed as letter 'o'. Also, this magazine (Computer Active) opened in other browsers that I use (Firefox, Edge, LibreWolf) also shows letter 'o' correctly.- I'm using Windows 10 Home/64-bit and in Adobe Reader. In the 'Edit' -> 'Preferences' -> 'Page display' -> option 'Use local fonts' is selected. Windows is not localized - settings are English/USA.- So, where is the catch !? I old Acrobat Reader, in Windows 10 or in- P.S. I attached one page with letter issues painted yellow - just as illustration of problem.Regards,Nickie K.
Good day,I have a pdf file that has been edited and sent back to another user. That user cannot see the new editing at all unless she clicks directly in one of the boxes. After she clicks somewhere else the info disapear. If I print the same document in PDF all the info is there. Moreover, if the user open the same pdf on her iphone she can see all the changes.I have put the latest version of Acrobat reader to no avail. What could cause this weird issue? Thanks
Oh mighty scribes of Adobe,What dark council decreed the creation of this cursed setting?“Open PDFs automatically in Reader when they are downloaded in Chrome browser.”A box hidden in the shadows of Preferences, lying in wait…One accidental check, and lo!Chrome obeys, Adobe awakens, and every PDF is opened twice —once in the kingdom of Chrome, and once in the haunted halls of Acrobat.Who asked for this sorcery? Was there a prophecy that foretold double openings?Did the UX oracles decide that confusion is the true path to productivity? We mere mortals beseech thee:Banish this option back to the abyss whence it came.Or at least mark it with a skull and crossbones,so travelers through the Preferences labyrinth know the peril that awaits.Until then, we wander the land, slaying checkboxes, resetting defaults, and questioning our sanity.Oh Adobe, keeper of scrolls and signatures, deliver us from thy checkbox of chaos. 🙏
Receiving this error on just about every file I open, regardless of location (cloud or local or email attachment)I have removed and reinstalled acrobat reader, used cleanup too, check memory and HDD for erros. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
I use Windows 11. Updates and drivers all up to date. I use Acrobat Reader every day to download and print pdfs. All day yesterday was working fine. No problem. Today, can download and open a pdf but then I get this error message: AcroCEF.exe - Application Error The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application. Clicking OK in the error message dialogue box does nothing. It does not close the application nor does the error dialogue box close. Acrobat Reader stays open, but cannot print. Can click Ctrl+P or File + Print, and then OK, but nothing happens; no print job appears in printer status window. Cannot clear the error message dialogue box. If I click on OK or the X in it, it moves position on screen slightly, but stays open, nor does the application close. Tried closing the Acrobat Reader window by clicking on X at top right and even wi
How can I cancel my adobe mcaffe safe connect subscription?
I need to print a Ontario government form today but I couldn't even download it until I got the latest version of Adobe reader (this is what the ON gov't website said and they had the link). So I downloaded it and now I can't print any pdf's. - not the new gov't of ON form and not any of my old pdf's. Up until this upgrade, I've had no trouble printing my pdf documents. There is no error message. When I try to print the document shows up in the printer queue as if it's spooling and going to print, but then a few seconds later, it disappears from the printer queue and nothing gets printed. - I am using a 13-inch MacBook Air 2020- my Mac OS is Sequoia 15.6- my printer is an HP Color LaserJet MFP M283fdw- I print over wi-fi on a network printer- the current version of Acrobat Reader on my laptop is 2025.001.20577 Like I said, up until yesterday, the previous version always worked. It's only this new version that's not working for me. I even tried to get back an older version but
I have a document requiring multiple digital signatures. We use Entrust. One of the people does not get the 'Certificates' icon in the menu bar when they open the document so is unable to sign. Is this an Adobe issue?
I have a document with multiple Entrust digital signatures. When the next person to sign opens the document, one of the existing signatures has an issue. This person does not have an option to sign the document. When I open the document, it does not show an issue with the existing signature. What is going on?
Does anybody else experience this issue? I'm using the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 24.002.21005) to open and print shipping labels generated by Canada Post as PDFs which include a shipping BARCODE. On every printer I have (HP laserjet and Brother lasers) the BARCODE prints BLURRED (BLURRY)! I downloaded PDF24, and it prints the barcode just fine -- crystal clear! I discovered this when my local post-office said they can't scan my shipping labels any more because the BARCODE is BLURRY! So it's not my Windows 11 PC or Windows fonts (nothing has changed recently on those that I'm aware of), and it's not my printers, because they print the barcode crystal clear from the PDF24 application. Do I need to download and install some barcode font file from Adobe? I hope somebody from Adobe can help, because it's useless trying to contact Adobe support!
We are attempting to launch/open a .PDX file so that we are able to search PDF files with a large number of pages on a VDI desktop. On a regular desktop, the user just double clicks on the .pdx file and it launches and they are able to search without issue. On the VDI desktop when we double click on the .PDX file (or right click on the file and select "Open with Adobe Acrobat Reader") an install process is attempted (screenshot attached). It will eventually produce an error which is outlined below and also attached to this post. The error says "Error 1406: Could not write value BrowseInPlace to key \Software\Classes\Acroexch.Document.DC. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel."How is this accomplished on a Omnissa Horizon VDI desktop? Thank you.Rachel
How do I remove the "Approved" stamp from the stamp favorites list? I right-clicked on it, selected remove but it is still there and the option to remove is now gone. I'd like to make a different stamp my default stamp, which I also added to the favorites list, but it keeps making the "Approved" stamp the default.
I can select different voices (and hear different speeches), but changing the pitch, words per minute, and volume does not change the speech at all. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC v. 2019.012.20040 (latest version according to Adobe CC)macOS Catalina 10.15.7
Hello. I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and there is no Undo button anywhere. I went looking for it after I accidentally deleted all of the text I had spent a good amount of time typing previously! I then typed into the original box my text was in "Text deleted "I came to this forum and tried the Ctrl + Z function and it only seemed to work on the most recent edit. So, it "Undid" the typed "Text deleted". I selected Ctrl + Z again, and nothing showed up. I tried it several times.Any help please?[Adding your question to some random discussion really doesn't work][Moved from Premiere Pro video editing to the Reader forum... Adobe insists on running its updater in the background, all the time. Not welcome. Like other civilized software, it should optionally notify the user of an available update, and allow the user to initiate the update without maintaining an account of logging into it. I like Acrobat Reader and use it frequently. But I resent (and avoid) this intrusive behavior.
Dear Adobe Team,Since the introduction of the “New Acrobat” interface, I have noticed that when switching between tabs, the visible PDF content briefly reloads and shifts slightly. For precise layout and graphic comparisons, this behavior is problematic, as it disrupts exact visual positioning.Workaround: Using Disable New Acrobat and reverting to the classic interface prevents this behavior entirely.Suggestion: Please consider adding an option in “New Acrobat” to disable this automatic re-rendering or shifting when switching tabs, or restore the previous behavior by default. This change could benefit not only my workflow but likely other users who rely on pixel-accurate comparisons as well.Thank you very much for your attention and support.
I keep getting this alert despite already having the latest version of Adobe. I have restarted my computer multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe, but I still get this alert. This is a screening questionnaire for a job I have applied for. Please help!
Qué hago si se me aplicó el rebajo a la tarjeta y sigue saliendo error de facturación?
The problem is back.In build 23.6.20320.0 the scroll bars disappear. My mac is set to show allways. Acrobat is set to never. The only way to show scroll bars is to launch Acrobat switch to Mac settings disable scroll bars allways and turn on again. Now the scroll bars appears in Acrobat. After a restart of Acrobat the scroll bars are disabled again.

I'm unable to paste from the clipboard into the Search field (Find text field). Instead I have to type out the term I'm searching.
Dear community, I have been struggling for weeks since I have the need to modify pdfs and keep the same documents updated both on my computer ( windows) and my iPad. I have several clouds ( iclouds, dropbox, google drive) that I can use after I modify the documents from the iPad. However, when I try to do it from my computer ( where I use Acrobat Reader) and I save the document in the folder of the cloud, it does not show the last modifications I did ( whereas it does it if I modify it from my iPad) I also tried to save the files on what it should be the cloud of Acrobat Reader itself, but I just don't understand how to do it. Maybe I need to pass to the premium version? Thanks a lot in advance, Antonio
