Adobe Media Encoder

I just updated Media Encoder and it is not accepting any .mov files.  Some of these are After Effects files, and others are Avid Media Composer exports. I'm on a Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1. Everything worked fine before this. I need this solved sooner than later. Thanks!

Issue - Unchecking the settings option for "Increment output file name if file with same name exists." causes the render to fail.Adobe Media Encoder version number - Version 24.6.1 (Build 2)Operating system - Sonoma 14.6.1Steps to reproduce -  Open settings > General and deselect "Increment output file name if file with same name exists." Render V1 of the video file to destination folder. (Optional) Make video edits. Export video with matching file name to same destination folder.Expected result - The file in the destination folder should be overwritten to prevent the buildup of multiple versions in destination folder.Actual result -  The render itself fails to excecute, see attached error log. For reference, see the following thread for others that have had a similar issue: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-media-encoder-discussions/overwrite-file-command-not-adhered-to/td-p/13090829

Hello, Mid project, Adobe upgraded Premiere Pro from 2024 to 2025. When I finished editing my video, I went to encode and found that the 5 minute video encoded to be just the first frame. The encoding process took about a second. I tried exporting within premier pro 2025 and the media encoder. The results were the same. I've restarted my computer multiple times. The results are the same. Any help to finish encoding my video would be appreciated.  Thanks,Joe

After installing Encoder 2025 and Premier Pro 2025 I am experiencing a very annoying issue. My hard drive has about 50GB free, I create a queue in the encoder of 5+ videos(about 3GB each), and when the Encoder reaches 4 or more videos I get the message of out of memory (RAM) and my hard drive has about 100 MB free space. When I close the Encoder, the hard drive's memory returns to 50GB. I tried to encode it to the external drive instead of internal and the result was the same. With this bug, I cannot use Premier Pro/Encoder 2025 because I need to save 5+ videos daily.My Machine: Apple M1 Max, 32 GB RAM, OS: Sonoma 14.2.1The video setting is attached belowIn the 2024 versions, everything worked as expected. 

Media encoder is currently failing to export any files and I don't know what to do. I tried exporting a project at H.264 High Quality 1080p HD and I kept getting this message. Tried changing the preset for a while and as of now none that I chose worked either. Tried also making the output destination the disk with more space or I tried finding the preferences of the export

I installed the new version of Premiere, and I can no longer export my render with Media Encoder (or even with the PR export). Nothing has changed, I’m still using the same export configuration in the same folder. I’ve attached several screenshots. I’ve been struggling since last night and have already tried at least 10 exports with no success.

I am hoping to use Media Encoder to run watch folders with the pupose of standardizing all content to MXF or other similar format.   Currently the "Captions" tab on export settings has all options greyed out.  Have tried changing the export preset with no luck.I found an older post about a similar issue and an Adobe employee referenced (Beta) 23.5.0.16 had a fix, but that is no longer available for download.   So far I have tried 25.0 and 23.6.8, same issue on both.  Does anyone have a known good version or tested workflow for this? Thanks!

Just update to 2025 premiere and encoeder, also update plugings (like premiere composer).  When exporting using media encoder, all the esential graphics (graphics templates now) are missing in the final render, this include; Mr. horse premiere composer assets and .mogrt elements.  When I export direct from premiere everyting works.  Mac mini 2023Apple M2 Pro32gb RamOS Sonoma 14.6.1

I am currebtly on Premiere Pro 24.6.1 aand Media Encoder 24.6.1 When I send my project from Premiere Pro to Media Encoder, ME is started as expected showing my project in the input queue. However, once I click on the green button to start the rendering process nothing happens. Any ideas? Any help? P.S.: I was on 24.6.3 with both PP and ME. At least in this configuration MED actually began to render, however stopped in the middle of the process. I thought that going back to 24.6.1 may solve that problem.  

Hey guys,  I've been editing 4K (Sony A7SIII) Footage on my 3rd gen i5 and gtx 1060 3GB. It's not as bad as many of you will think haha. Anyways, today I encountered with the problem I edited videowith simple transitions and few segments where i used 4K assets from Acidbite such as (dust, scratches and 16mm gate overlay). Render was looking fine when system was balanced with around 60% CPU and 20% GPU, when render passed the "difficult" segment it became faster, because other than that whole video is just zoom in and zoom outs with sound effects. so since it became faster after that heavy segment i thought it would finish in hour or so and after some time im seeing this(image provided) this type of segment where there is nothing going on just clips laying around and have little zoom in & outs never had problem before.Does any of you have idea what can i do in this situation?!Premiere pro vers. 23.1.0 (build 86)Encoder vers. 23.0.1 (build 1)CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM

Bonjour, depuis la mise à jour After Effects 22.0 et Média Encoder 22.0 je n'arrive plus à générer le média depuis AE. En effet, AME se connecte bien aux serveurs Adobe (1ère phase) mais tente d'ouvrir le projet en vain (seconde phase) ! Il semble que ce soit l'ajout d'un élément C4D dans le projet qui bloque AME. En effet, le test avec un projet "simple" fonctionne correctement. J'ai réinstallé l'ensemble (AME, AE et Cinema 4d Lite) mais j'ai toujours le même problème. Si j'ouvre AME seul (sans AE), l'ouverture du même projet "charge" une instance d'AE en mémoire (visible dans le gestionnaire de tâches) mais celle-ci ne se "ferme" pas même après l'arrêt d'AME (signe d'une crash app ?) Merci de votre aide. 

Hi, I really have little understanding of this process. But, i have video downloaded that is not recognised in premiere pro. it is vp09, or something. when i am trying to use encoder to give me a usable version with no loss of quality, it creates a black video with perfect audio. i have tried tweaking all sorts of settings to match, but, no cigar. what am i doing wrong? it is a 25fps, 1920x1080p video. not sure if you all need more information? but, i will be studying this whole area further to gain understanding, going forward. 

now what is this. IT IS A 58 SECOND VIDEO, it has been encoding for 17hrs and still isnt done. i have never had this before. the longest i had was 2 hours. i am using a dynabook portege, it has 16 rams and this is only taking up some of it.(around 5k mb memory) I let it go overnight and the estimated time just keeps increasing

Just updated to Premiere and Encoder 2025.  When rendering a video out using Media Encoder, the "2nd" pass never "seems" to complete.  In other words, as you observe the progress of the rendering in the small window (and rendering timeline), visual progression seems to freeze or stop half way through the process.HOWEVER.... in looking at the location where the video was rendering to, the finished video did complete, and looks fine.Is this a BUG?  the normal behavior previously allowed the 2nd rendering pass to be viewed, and the rendering amount of time would constantly update.  I've done several videos, and the issue was same for both.

Is it possible to tell Media Encoder to add a file at the end of the current file being rendered?Basically, I want to render a dozen files, and attach a generic message to the end of each one.I batch process many MANY files and being able to add a generic info message to the end of each Product video would be mighty helpful. BTW - I am also looking for a way to ADD an audio file to a video that has NO audio. Again, I have many MANY video files that have no audio, and I want to add the same audio file to all of them in a batch. Thanks! 

Hello, I am trying to render/export a 18288 x 57 animation for a stadium fascia board but I can not get the size to go past 16384.Is there a way to export this at the correct settings? Is it my computer that the problem?I was shown a file that was an H264/mp4 with the correct settings so it can be done. iMac Pro 2017Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB5120 x 2880 DisplayThanks for your help!

I am trying to set up a better workflow for importing my camera into Adobe Premiere. They are Sony cameras, and output .mxf files. I have found that importing these directly into Premiere causes a few issues, so thought it may be best to transcode in Media Encoder first to H.264. Source files are 35mbps, so is it safe to assume I could simply set up a custom preset 'Match Source' and settting Target Bitrate as 35mbps?? I also checked 'use Maximum Render Quality' Seems logical to me, but just want to check if there are any potential issues I may have overlooked. Thanks in advance.

I'm having issues in Media Encoder exporting an image sequence. I've seen other forum topics that are related to this but *are not the same*. I do not have a Premiere Pro sequence, this is for a sequence directly added to Encoder by going to "add source" and selecting the first image in the sequence. I've done the following to debug the issue:1) restarted computer2) tried images in a different folder3) cleared ME's cache4) turned off the setting for "import sequences manually". The files are all in the same folder on my C drive. There is nothing else accessing the files at the same time. The system is brand new and extremely powerful, 64gb ram, Intel Ultra9 processor, RTX4070 GPU.

Well, I updated to v25 and now none of our mogrts work when exporting.From Premiere or AME, it seems to hit the graphics file and stops and becomes non-responsive.  No preview displays.  Software only has same issue.  Delete the mogrt and export works fine.  This worked perfectly fine before the update.Absolutely no clue why this failing now.   cleared caches, reinstalled, etc.  Restored system and tried again, same issue.  As an added bonus, when I went to reopen a project after restoring the system, it failed because v25 saved it and all the autosaves under v25.  Now I have to rebuild the project with hours of work invested.  Joy.   W10x64, 14900k, 3080ti, 96gbRam, Gen4M.2 drives throughout.
