Hello, I'm looking for a solution to a persistent problem. I can't use Media Encoder. The software no longer launches from the After Effects queue. And when I launch the application directly, it crashes during the loading pop-up. I deleted the current version and reinstalled it from Creative Cloud. It never works. This is the only application I'm having trouble with. What should I do? I need it for work. OSX Ventura 13.7.6 and After Effects 2025
Hello. The TEXT OVERLAY function is converting Slashes / to colons : instead of keeping the Slash in the filename, when we show the filename on screen. This was working fine until this last update. The "Slash" appears in vehicle model names like "R/T" and this shows on screen, and if we as a dealer show R:T, we look stupid. So, this change to the way our Watch Folders and overlays handles dozens of videos affects our image. Please fix.
I work with alot of insta 360 footage and as part of my workflow i create proxies of them for smooth editing, often they would just load into ME and then encode overnight But recently when i would que clips for proxies ME would crash instantly, i thought maybe i overloaded it so i only put 4-6 clips in for proxy creation and it worked fine for the first couple clips then immediately force closed, again i thought no problem i could continue after reopening but it was as if ME just completely restarted.I've tryed numerous solutions including restarting my computer, updating the programs, reset ME preferences and Uninstalling / Reinstalling but nothing seems to workThe only solution i haven't tried is rolling back a version but if i can figure something out without doing that im game.-Loyal Adobe Supporter
We have a script running in After Effects that uses the RenderQueue.queueInAME() function to add compositions to the adobe media encoder. It works but all the exported videos (doesn't matter which format) have a slight shift in contrast. They are all slightly brighter with less contrast. What we found out:In After effects the working color space is set to none and assume working gamma is set to 2.2 (SRGB). To reconstruct the output we get from the medie encoder we can set the working color space to SRGB IEC61966-2.1. So switching to this color space gives us the look we accidentally get out of the media encoder when sending stuff there via script. This isdefinetly a bug that should be fixed. If you want to reproduce here are the steps:- Set your project working space to none- Send your job to media encoder via RenderQueue.queueInAME() function- open the export settings and compare source with output. You can already see the color/contrast missmatch Now do the same bu
24 days ago my Media Encoder got auto-updated to the latest version (25.3 Build 73), and in doing so it seems to have broken my FTP presets. I regularly use two FTP presets, one to post archive files to a local network storage server, the other to upload to an offsite online host. Both had been working flawlessly, and stopped working with the update. It throws a log in error on both presets, but that makes no sense, since both presets use admin accounts to log in that never change passwords. I was able to get the local FTP to work by changing to my personal log in, but that get changed every 3 months so I would prefer to use the old admin log in. Has anyone else had FTP issues with the latest version? System specs: 2023 Mac Studio, M2 Ultra, 128gb RAM, Sonoma 14.7
I did an HDR export using Media Encoder from a sequence from Premiere. I noticed I was having poor shadows and highlights compared to the preview from the sequence. I rendered all settings identical but exported natively in Premiere and everything looks normal. There is something wrong with Media Encoders export quality. I rendered two videos with identical export settings between exporting through Premiere vs. Media Encoder in this dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/ieukixvapaxscde37qpnw/AJ8_Ayp-fd-MgD-DZwmNQEc?rlkey=grxpm8ohdv7ewjvfa8i2z0z81&st=iv56wwhd&dl=0 Please note that dropbox preview does not display HDR footage, so you'll have to download the video files to see the difference. Below is the screen grab of my export settings.
Adobe Media Encoder cannot link media from Premiere Pro, and I just get media offline in all my exports. Premiere Pro exports the files fine so there is a missing link, I have reconnected media, Cleared cache, Fresh installs, etc. Both Premiere Pro and Media Encoder v25.1 running great on mac book pro Mod note: Please don't type in all caps. It's against our guidelines. I fixed it for you using a free web app. Please consider it next time.
I have tried several times to get an AE video to encode. Tried an older version of the app. I tried several diffferent previous videos I have succesfully encoded and nothing. Freezes in different places everytime. Cleared all media cache from After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Media Encoder. 15 trys later I can't get this done.
As recommended by Stan, I also report the problem here as it is in Premiere I need to add subtitle in DCP Wraptor and it seems that Premiere does'nt seem capable of doing that. When I try, it create a .srt file outside of the wraptor instead of including an XML encoded file corresponding the the .srt file. And the QuVIS web site is broken. I am using Premier 25.3.0 build 84 on Windowss 10Could you please let me know how I should proceed. https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-media-encoder-discussions/include-sub-title-into-a-dcp-wraptor/m-p/15382657#M20577 Frank.
Since recent updates (can't remember exactly what version) I have an issue sending files to Media Encoder from Premiere. When sending to Media Encoder a custom preset isn't working correctly and captions are consistently not being burnt into exported files. If I export directly from Premiere with our preset I have no issue, but when sending multiple files to media encoder captions are either not burnt in at all, or one file will be burnt in but remaing files won't.Preset selected to send to ME from Premiere. As shown, captions are selected to be burnt in, and if I export with this they appear as expected.Preset once sent to ME. "Burn captions into video" selection has been lost (no longer selected), and even if I manually select it at this point it generally still won't burn them in either. I've tried re-creating the preset but this is also has no effect, nor has re-installing software from a completley clean OS install either.Due to this I'm exporting files one by one,
Hello, I’ve been running into an issue with sound effects like mastering or a hard limiter. When exporting through Media Encoder, some videos randomly lose sound effects, which makes it really frustrating to track down the low-volume exports and re-export them manually in Premiere. It’s especially problematic since this can result in accidentally delivering a video to the client with missing or low audio, definitely a problem!!! Has anyone encountered this before or found a reliable solution?
The latest version of ME does not launch properly for me. Every first-time I try to open it, (like after not using the program or computer being off for a while or not using ME for a day or so) it errors out saying it can't find my adobe license and can either use in trial mode or quit. After quitting, and launching again, it does find the license and then opens properly. Is this a bug or what? Suggestions? Thanks. version 25.2 build 141.
Hello, I am in Premiere 25.2.3 and Media Encoder 25.2. I have MOGRT files in my Premiere timeline. When I send it to Media Encoder it says Missing Asset and names all of the MOGRT in the timeline. When exporting to Premiere the MOGRT export just fine. After Effects would not open in the newest version so I downgraded to version 24.6 and now it opens, but still no luck getting Media Encoder to export the MOGRT files. These MOGRT files have worked forever in multiple projects. Please help. Hello,I’m having an issue with Adobe Media Encoder. When I try to launch it, I get this error:"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)."I’ve already tried reinstalling the app, updating Visual C++ Redistributables, and running SFC scan, but the issue persists. Please help me fix this. Thanks in advance!
If I am doing an H265 Encode I cannot enable hardware encodimg if the Export Audio box is checked. Which seem strange. Version: 2025 v25.3Platform: Mac OS 15.5, Mac Studio 2025 M4 Max Steps To Replicate - Add Video To Queue- Pick HEVC Preset- Go to Export Settitngs- Under the Video Tab Scroll Down to Encoding Settings- Notice Performace is set to Hardware Encoding- Uncheck the Export Audio under the Export Settings - Notice the Performance Changes to Software Encoding - Try To Change to Hardware Encoding - You get an error that it is not supported. Expected:When unchecking the Export Audio box Hardwae Encoding for the video should still be avaliable
If you select several video sources in the program queue and click on change preset settings, a window opens where the timecode is broken at the bottom. The timecode of the longest file is shown, although this was not the case in the 2017 version.Logically, the timecode of the video I clicked on should be shown, even though several are selected.Current version is 25.1.Windows 10 22H2 19045.3570.
Hello,Today I tried to export a video from Premiere using Media Encoder, but unfortunately, Media Encoder won’t open. It gets stuck on the startup screen at the “Loading Queue Media” step.In general, the program doesn’t launch at all—regardless of whether I try to open it from the export window in Premiere or manually. The version I’m using is v25.2, and I’m working on an M3 Pro Mac running macOS Sequoia 15.0.Interestingly, older versions of Media Encoder do launch without any issues. Can anyone help me?Thanks in advance!
Since After Effects was updated to version 25.2.2, every time I send a file to render in Media Encoder I get a failed message. Maybe it has to do with the fact that the latest version of Media Encoder is 25.2 and not 25.2.2 like After Effects? mac proos 15.2 (24C101)3.3 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon WAMD Radeon Pro Vega II 32 GB96 GB 2933 MHz DDR4
Hi Adobe community, I’m a post supervisor currently managing a global film production where our crew uploads footage remotely to a structured QNAP server. Each camera (GoPro, Drone, two Sony FX3s) drops files into a standardized directory that includes:/WeekXX/SDXX/CamXX/Footage /WeekXX/SDXX/CamXX/Transcodes We're using Media Encoder 2025 to automate transcoding using Watch Folders - but the current implementation is making this unworkable. Here’s why:________________Major Problems with Watch Folders in AME 2025 1. Original files are moved into nested timestamped foldersAME creates a folder structure like:/Source/YYYY-MM-DD_HHMMSS/This moves every input file from the ‘Footage’ folder into a new subdirectory after rendering - which is unacceptable.Result: Our ingest and conform workflows break because files have been relocated without consent. 2. No option to disable this behaviorThere’s no toggle or preference to keep source files untouched.Post-Render Actions used t
After upgrading Creative Cloud to 2021.VST plugins are bypassed when rendering videos from Premiere Pro. However, if exported directly from Premiere Pro, VST effects are applied, no problem.
I am facing an error issue during rendering on my Adobe encoder in version 25.3.0 (Mac os)
I'm trying to export .mxf files for braodcast. Exporting from Premiere Pro 25.3 works fine. However, in AME (also 25.3) I am only getting the 708 caption track and not the 608. I'm using the same export preset in both programs. In both programs, I see 608 and 708 caption tracks on the export settings page. I found that if I check the "Import sequences natively" option, AME will export both caption tracks, but that causes a bunch of media to become offline. Media that is online in Premiere pro. I believe this to be a bug, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
AFTER: 25.2.2ENCODER: 25.2WINDOWS 10 / PROC RYZEN 7 5700G / 32 GB RAM (3200 MHZ) / RTX 3070
Within the last month, everytime I begin encoding a video from premiere it will pause at the 1 or 2 second mark. There will be no adjustment of estimated time or any other indication that the encoding process is progressing. I was first having the issue when I would upload directly to the Frame.io window. Although, I have the same issue even if I go to media encoder directly from premiere's export window. There is nothing unique about the video I am trying to export as far as I can tell. I don't know if it has anything to do with a different motion graphic template I haven't used on a video before that might be slowing the process but I can't imagine it is so complex that it makes the encoding hault completely. I'd say I am a novice when it comes to the more nuanced settings of media encoder and I have never manipulated any settings beyond what the default or recommended settings are. If anyone could shed light on this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
Hello CommunityI have a lot of MXF OP1a files with embedded 708 captions and I need to convert them to MP4 files with sidecar captions file. When I do it through Premiere, some files are imported with the captions -it takes a little while to load- and some others without the captions. I know all of them have captions because they have played several times.I have done it before using only Media Encoder, because it's faster and I have a lot of files. But now it's not creating the sidecar captions file from the embedded captions. I have checked the settings, both in ME and PR, but it doesn't seem to work.I'm working with Media Encoder 25.2 (Build 141) and Premiere Pro 25.2.3 (Build 4).My computer is a 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700 @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz, with 32 Gb or RAM and the GPU is a AMD Radeon Pro W5500 and Intel UHD Graphics 750.I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
