After Effects

I was experimenting with the SDK's parameters to improve my plugin user experience. Basically, I just want some settings to be collapsed in an "advanced settings" section. To do so I used the PF_ADD_TOPIC and PF_END_TOPIC macros. The topic is well displayed in premiere in the effects pannel, but all the settings within the topic's section have a value of zero during the execution of the program, no matter the parameters within the section. I'm trying to create a library of animated shapes I've made, and I find it difficult to delete all the footage after every project and then save the project with all the layers that I don't necessarily need, however I do want the option to use it again for a later project.Is there a way to export a composition as a separate After Effects file?Please & thank you for your time.Best,Kenny

Does anyone have any pointers on how to get my After Effects app to download onto my MacBook Pro? I have updated my Mac to latest software and I have restarted the download multiple times and it keeps saying it is "waiting" this has been going on for 2 days. Preview resolution is shown as full in every option and when I render the video, there is only sound and no screen display. It used to be normal. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do?

Whenever I try to type text or manually change type in a number in an effect, After Effects does not seem to take the input. Rather it just flashes the blue skinny box highlighter thing. What is causing this problem? Whenever I hold down on my clicker the box is clearly there, but it doesn't do the usual thing where I just click on a section once and the box stays there. At first I thought it was just a small meaningless thing but it's preventing me from typing text and I need some help.

Upon startup after effects crashes "after effects can't continue: unexpected failure during application startup" message appears. I'm using Mac OS 15.4.1 sequoia.

I am trying to use Content-Aware Fill in After Effects to remove a title on the cover of a book, and I want to use "Create Reference Frame" to open the default app of Photoshop to get a clean cover. But whenever I try to use it it takes me to Adobe Illustrator? I have tried using encoder to change the format of the video and importing as a png sequence but neither of them worked. I don't know what to change or what to look for in order to change it. I have tried researching websites and videos but there is nothing covering this. Can anyone help?

hello everyone, whenever my pc comes out of sleep mode, the playback in ae doesn't work - there's no audio at all, the red line/time indicador only work once, then they're stuck. (and the preview time goes back a frame too) apparently this is caused by the audio hardware, when you use headphones or speakers or whatever. however, i dont use headphones, nor do i have extra speakers since i use the ones in my monitor.  there's a similar thread with the exact same problem i face right now on here already, but none of their advice seem to work for me. Solved: after effect preview not work - Adobe Support Community - 9804111 i hope my explanation made sense.this is driving me insane and i really don't know what to do anymore.  also, i use ae 2019ram 16 gb

Hello, I updated to AE 25.3 this morning and quickly realized that scrolling on the mouse would pan the composition window instead of zooming in and out of it as it has in past versions. I confirmed this by rolling back to version 25.2.2 and it restored the scroll as zoom. Was this intentional or a bug? Is there a way to switch this in the settings? Mac StudioM3 UltraSequoia 15.4.1

I'm trying to import a "psd" file with layers into Ae 2022. But it keeps giving me a "Bad Tracked Memory ID 23::33" error. And for what it seems, this error has been happening to many users since Jan 2022.Say, Adobe. What gives? Are you going to fix this?Or is time for me to lookup an Ae alternative?

Hey, I'm using generate > audio waveform. I'd really like the waveform to start about halfway into a flat line.  Is there a way to manipulate the waveform, or to draw a line and dictate where the waveform begins, so it flatlines at the beginning or end?  THanks!

SALVEI OS ARQUIVOS DE FORMA CORRETA DO PHOTOSHOP. Quando fui subir no after, lê como foto e não como camada. E sim, coloquei todas as opções certas na hora de importar o arquivo. Salvei de novo e foi. dps os outros não foram. mesmo eu tentando salvar de novo. Desinstalei tudo, até o adobe creative cloud e NADA. Não adianta. When opening various new Ae files, I seem to be unable to play the animation back more than once (after starting and stopping) without the stage turning blank and the programme becoming unresponsive. Ae has no 3rd party plug-ins, only overlord used. I have tried new files, old files and even kept them simple (creating a simple vector circle) and this still happens. Even tried older versions and a colleagues mac which is much more powerful and others have tried and get the same issue too. I have cleared caches and reset preferences. I feel like the issue could be to do with the Ae project settings perhaps?? Any ideas or help very welcome!

I have been frustrated with colors in After Effects. I imported a Photoshop file into After Effects and everything looks great. The colors are all washed out when I export the file from Media Encoder or inside After Effects. I have tried Quicktime and H.264. I have tried adjusting the color tab under the Project settings. If seems like nothing works. I was even at the Adobe Max conference and even the After Effects experts didn't seem to know how to fix it. 

The latest version of After Effects seems to have broken the ability for deadline workers to launch AE. All workers immediately return with this error: Error: FailRenderException : After Effects returned non-zero error code: 132. Check the render log. if you take the "full command" and paste it into a terminal window, it launches just fine. For example (from the deadline worker log) 2024-01-17 18:05:38: 0: INFO: Full Command: "/Applications/Adobe After Effects 2024/aerender" -project "/Users/Shared/Thinkbox/Deadline10/workers/EDIT1/jobsData/65a7fd08da4823eb325531ff/DEADLINE__TEMP.aep" -comp "Comp 1" -s 0 -e 0 -output "/Volumes/EDIT_Local/_TEMP RENDER/Comp 1_[#####].png" -v ERRORS_AND_PROGRESS -close DO_NOT_SAVE_CHANGES -sound OFF This is fine. But the job launched from deadline immediately fails with exit code 132. This only occurs with AE version 24.1.0. All previous versions of AE 2024 and AE 2023 are fine. My question is what is exit code 132, and what would
