After Effects

I have a .psd that have multiple layers in a group, and i want to animate them separately in AE, but when i import the .psd, all the layers come merged, even when i select to import as Composition - Retian Layer Sizes os as CompositionThe .psd is an artwork of a human, so it has a layer for each finger, each arm, each leg and so on, and i really dont want to convert every single layer to a .psd just to make it work. Yesterday i imported a differnt character with the same layer organization and had no problems. Restarting the computer and AE didin't worked too, and both AE and Windows (10) are updated.

When I open AE a message pops up saying:Can't find Sapphire bundle in /Applications/GenArtsSapphireAE/config/sapphire-ae64.bundle: file does not exist. Please reinstall Sapphire Plug-ins to fix this problem I've uninstalled and reinstalled after effects and creative cloud in general multiple times. I used the CC cleaner on basically everything. I've deleted all sapphire files from my computer. I reset my preferences as well using "Command-Shift-Option". Nothing is working.I have a MacBook Pro, currently trying to use the most recent version of AE 2022. 

We really need Pro Import back to work with AAF files. I know it was removed. I heard they'd be adding it back but I still dont see it. How are we supposed to work with industry standard AAF files without it?

I am running After effects 14.2.0.198 on a Mac Pro(Late 2013) running 10.10.5, and have been having this error for the last 6 hours or so:[effect name] return invalid max_result_rect from PF_Cmd_SMART_PRE_RENDER(25::237)After searching on the web and this community, I tried restarting AE, updating AE, restarting my Mac, purge all memory and disk cache, reset AE preferences, rearrange the effects order, put HSL effect before the effect in the error message.I am using third-party effects, they are all built-in AE effects like corner pin, fast blur, levels, HSL, curves.....etcNone of them work.Any idea to get rid of it?Thanks

I've successfully been able to work with a 3D camera for the first time. Saved it yesterday, opened this morning to refine "We'll Focus On the Finace" However my 3D axis mouse tool is gone! I've clicked through everything, looked in the effects panel and it's not showing up! what have I done? 😞 

I got upgraded to 24.5. Can anyone confirm if any plug ins have stopped working for them?   I'm getting an error using the Red Giant 11.1.9 Keying Suite plugins (Edge Blur, Light Wrap, etc.) saying that they can not be applied to a layer.     Downgraded to 24.1 and got the following error on startup.   Now, I like VFX Suite and all, but I know that Red Giant isn't gonna do anything to support these old plugs.   Anyone else had any issues?

I m currently facing an issue in After Effects where the Text Engine is missing, and as a result, I’m unable to edit or work with Marathi fonts. This is severely impacting my workflow, as I frequently work with regional language content.

I have a rig set up where I can have a stack of line layers all parented to a control layer which allows me to set the 'top' and 'bottom' layers of the stack and then have the middle layers linearlly interpolate the line shape, position, color, and stroke weight. This is nice because it allows me to create one shape layer, apply an effect preset, and then simply duplicate the layer to make the blended array. It works and looks great as long as the top and bottom lines are the same weight. If there is an increase, the spacing starts to look funny as it's just a linear distribution of each layer's position rather. What I'm trying to do is update the position calculation's expression to adjust for a difference in line thickness.  Using Illustrator and rectangles instead of lines, I've identified a pattern in the difference between a center-based distribution and a gap-based distribution. Hello everyone I am working in Adobe After Effects (version 17.7.0 Build 45) and I have the following: How can I get equal spacing between the three layers when each layer is a different size? Let's say I want 60 pixels between each layer?In other design software, it is easy, when I drag and drop, it tells me. Here's Figma for example: How can I get the same in Adobe After Effects? I already know about the Align tools in Adobe After Effects, but they do something different. For example, I couldn't say "I want 60 pixels between each layer".

hi people This is the first time I've tried adding paths to more than one group in a shape layer and something is amiss. I need to add 2 groups and then add multiple paths to each group. Not sure if it's called the utility panel or not, i'll be referring to it as the utility panel in this post. But for some reason when I select a shape layer sometimes the panel doesn't show up at the top (as shown here), I have to go into properties: shapelayer to edit it. I just tried it in a new comp and it works perfectly fine here. When I re-opened the project it works again but after a while it stops working for some reason here. I am unsure of the steps to reproduce this issue.What should happen is the utility panel should open up when you select shape layers (and also text layers if I'm not mistaken). I have a couple of plugins (Align Pro, Motion 4 and Keystone)OS: Windows 11 Home (version: 10.0.25100 build 26100)Hardware: Intel 13900k, RTX 4090, 64GB RAM

This is an After Effects and Premiere Pro question.  I took a Canon 8K raw video file (file suffix .CRM), imported it into After Effects, used its Tracker with the Stabilize option to stabilize the footage, and then imported the composition into a timeline in Premiere Pro.The problem is that I can not use Premiere Pro's effects panel to set the Color Space and Gamma.  I guess I need to do that first in Premiere Pro?What is the best way to do this? Note, I tried Premiere Pro's Warp Stabalizer but I wasn't happy with it.

Totally no idea how to achieve this audio requiement.... anyone can help? Thanks

(Screen Recording attached)A rectangle in a shape layer. Added a "repeater" to rectangle, which created 3 repeats with no offset. I suppose each repeat gets its own layer space, with its own origin, and an anchor point. My question is why is that when I change the anchor point's coordinates, none of the repeats move to adjust for a constant position value? I mean each repeat has its own origin and its anchor point, and a repeat's position is the position of its anchor point as measured from the origin of the previous repeat. If I'm not wrong the origin for each repeat here will exactly be at the center of the these squares. A position value of 200,100 in the "transform:repeater" would mean that the second square's anchor point (which is at its center, exactly on the origin of it), is at a distance of 200,100 from the origin of the 1st square. And the anchor point of the third is at 200,100 from the origin of the second square (which makes sense in the video). However,if I change t

Ok so my preview window in after effects is displaying at about quarter framerate so I can't make edits - as in - if I change the composition framerate to 120 fps then I have a somewhat reasonable framerate (about 25 frames) to work with. I've tried everything on the improve performance page but i don't think this is the issue. It's a simple lyric video i'm trying to make and I have an i7-9750H, RTX2070 and 16 gigs of ram. Please help. 

I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to create this complicated effect. It's many photos moving back in space to form one photo. Getting the final photo to start out with that kind of 3D pixelation is the trick. It may have been done in another program in 3D but I don't know, maybe an AE plug-in or template. I am trying to 3d track a clip on my PC on after effects 2024. I tried to Track my footage, however when its done tracking the track point dont show up. They only show up if i press render track points, but when i do that and try to use one of the track points it simply doesnt work. I tried messing with the settings and i trid precomposing the clip. Вчера все было в порядке, сегодня включаю компьютер, запускаю афтер эффект, и ничего не работает, кликаю мышкой по таймлайну, не могу выбрать никакой слой, курсор не появляется, в панели проект также не могу выбрать ни папки, ни слои. Перезапустила афтер эффект, проблема остается та же самая. Афтер не работает. Заранее благодарю за помощь! Не могу завершить срочный заказ!

My after effects says I need to delete a double installed plugin, but when I follow the path I get stuck in the common folder (dead end), see screenshot.  I need to fix this because Ae is crashing

I have a pre-comp nested in my main comp that i'd like to loop.I enabled Time Remapping, went to the last keyframe, moved back one frame and made a new keyframe, then deleted the original last keyframe.I also tried doing the same but replacing the original last keyframe with the a copy of the first one. However both methods have still resulted in the dreaded last black frame of the loop. The last frame is always black. I've gone through plenty of forum posts on this website and others and still haven't found a solution unfortunately. This is really doing my head in!Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Hi,I create best-of videos from Twitch live streams. The rushes are about 4 hours of .ts files with variable framerate/60fps.I use Dynamic Link a lot to edit my project in After Effects. The problem is that when I do this, very often the keyframes become invisible in AE. They are still there because you can see them in the Graph Editor, which serves as a workaround for this issue, but it's not practical.I always use the latest versions of my software, and I already had this problem when I started editing, which was more than 4 years ago. I also talked to support about it, but they didn't provide a solution. In the meantime, I have changed my hardware several times. I think it's safe to say that the problem is not related to my PC, especially since I also have it on my laptop.I would really like Adobe to fix this problem, as it wastes a lot of my time on my projects.Premiere Pro V25.2.3After Effects V25.2.2

Hey so I cant open after effects because the sapphire bundle is missing. They say I should reinstall the sapphire plugins to fix the problem but no matter how many times I reinstall it it wont work. I would really appreciate if someone could help me. 

 I have these popups when I turn on After Effects. May I know are there anywhere I can reinstall the plugins? How can I fix the "Couldn't find main entry point for AEXD.aex (48::72)" error? Any help would be much appreciated.
