Hello, I have an issue with the CC Bend It effect.I have an Illustration that I wanted to use the Bend It Effect on.A known issue with this effect is that it cuts the image once applied.The most common solutions are to either use the Grow Bounds effect above CC Bend It, or simply precompose the layer and then add the effect on top of the new composition. But for some reason both of those solutions don't work for me anymore.I've tried turning off the Continously Rasterize option, creating a new shape layer, turning it into a PNG and using that instead, using the Grow Bounds effects on top of the precomposed layer, and yet nothing works. I'd love to know if there's another solution to that issue.

Hi guys, Basically I downloaded After Effects 2023 and I did "register" for the first time and it's been creating my account for three hours I don't know what to do anymore i don't know if it is like that because of the hardwore because my pc is Windows 10 pro (64 bit), yesterday i tried to download after effects and It said that i can't because of the I need to update my PC and then I uninstalled it, today I installed it and this thing didn't pop up and I could log in but As I said before the account is being created for too long and my connection is stable

Why is there a grey background/border in full screen playback? Why is there (still!) no option to change this to black? 

Hello!I'm trying to display french characters "é", "É" and "à" in a pseudo effect by editing the XML PresetEffects file, but After Effects doesn't seem to accept them and they get replaced by "?" when I import the pseudo effect in my composition.Replacing, for instance, "Durée" by "Durée" or "Durée" doesn't solve the issue.If it's possible to get these special characters in pseudo effects through the XML PresetEffects file and someone knows how to do it, I would really appreciate some help! Thank you very much!

Hi folks, we're experience a really strange issue with the Posterize Time effect, and at the worst possible moment for the project. The addition of Posterize Time over some nested Pre-comps causes the layers in those pre-comps to become out of sync or "time slip".  Quick summary of set up:We have a 23.976 pre-comp ("comp A"), dropped into a main composition ("comp B"), of the same dimensions and frame-rate. Inside comp A, we have several animated layers which are tracked over live-action footage. Some layers are manually key-framed, but in all instances the motion is synced and plays back as expected if we maintain the full-frame rate. When we add Posterize Time effect to comp A's layer directly, OR as an adjustment layer in comp B, so it effects all the comps below, such as comp A, it causes the content in comp A to shift out of sync. For instance it might shift our live action a few frames forward and the tracked / composited laters a couple frames earlier. O

Browser & Device type: Acer Nitro AN515-58, Core i7, Nvidia RTX 3050, 32GB RAM, Windows 11, After effects 24.5Issue: In After Effects version 24.5, when attempting to perform rotoscoping, use the brush tool, or do tracking, the image in the Source window goes black, and I cannot see the image to use the tool properly. In rotoscoping, I can still use the tool on the black image and see the result only when switching back to the selection tool. This issue does not occur in version 2023.Steps to reproduce:Double-click on the layer I want to rotoscope.In the new window, select the Roto Brush tool.The image goes black.Expected result: The video image remains visible, and I can use the Roto Brush tool while viewing the video.Actual result: The image goes black, and I use the brush on a black image. The tool works, but I cannot see where I am applying it.

alright so it's been a while I'm always having this problem: whenever I add a clip to my composition be it 5 minutes or 20 minutes long and preview it it initially starts playing normally but after a while it starts repeating. over and over. no matter where in the timeline I click, I will always see the same scenes of the first 3 minutes, and this is driving me crazy. It shouldn't be a file problem since if I play it with vlc it goes totally normally, so what do you guys think this could be caused from? Thanks a lot

I am still searching since last friday and about to go insane. All tutorials tell me there is a browse button in that craptastic tab but I cant craptastic find any craptastic shit browse btuton. Hi!This might be more of a Windows question than an Adobe/After Effects one, but I'll give it a shot here just in case: I have a project from a client with Korean file names and references. In After Effects, the file names appear correct and in Korean script, but my main issue right now is that none of the footage is properly linked. I am guessing this has to do with the fact that Windows is not identiying the files correctly and is thus unable to identify files are present that need to be linked. Below is what my files look like in File Explorer and in After Effects: After Effects:  Windows 10:  Any thoughts on how to solve this?Many many thanks in advance!

Hi everybody,I have a little problem. Maybe anybody can help me with that.I created a Graphics Essential Template on After Effects on Mac. After importing it to Premiere on Mac, everybody works perfectly.But when importing it to Premiere on Windows it's not perfectly working. To be specific. In this Graphics Essential Template I simply connected Text scale to a Slider Control. When using it in Premiere Pro for Mac, it is working. When using it in Premiere for Windows, nothing happens at all. I can change the slider's position like I want to ... nothing happens.Is that a bug? Hi, I just want to keep the fill as it it, but want to apply trim path only to affact the stroke. I tried duplicating layers and keep feel on one and stroke on another and then applied trim path on the stroke activated layer  it works nice. But wondering if there is any way I can do it on one shape layer where the fill and stoke both will stay. Thank you. 

I need to show water flow in a river system. Each of the 8 branches would have up to ten arrows following each other. I am not very advanced in After Effects but can animate single arrows. Ideally the arrows might look like this . Can someone help and explain in very easy terms?Many thanks in advance. 

Hi all, I'm trying to cut out the bridge to put the footage of Mars behind it. The screenshot below is my attempt using colour keying but its not quite there yet - a few edges still show too much of the original backdrop - and I was wondering if anyone had any other suggests on how to do this better? Cheers

Hello I found a few previous posts regrding this but not found a solution.  I'm posting here with view to finding a solution. In essence the text tool in Ae is very slow and laggy, even with only a couple of layers in the comp.  I have a decent spec Mac pro, decent GPU etc so cant undestand why this is hapeening.  I've cleared cache, reset the prefes, turned it off and on again etc to no avail. Does any one have a fix for this?

So my kids and I wanted to create a Star Wars video with lightsabers. We recorded the video, imported in after effects, and then I went frame by frame adding lightsaber effects. It took a a lot of hours to complete. We got all excited when it was complete, and I rendered the movie to h264. When watching it, the audio was not synced and the light sabers were off. After figuring things out, I noticed the composition frame rates for both the footage and the light saber effects are at 29.37 fps. Everything is in sync when playing it in after effects. But after I render it (which looks like it renders to 29.97), everything is off. So I attempted to change the composition frame rates to 29.97 for both footage and lightsaber effects. The audio is synced but the light sabers are still off. Is there a way to get this rendered without needing to go back and do the light sabers all over again?

see? LUT: Nonedowner must be 12+ windows with presets to LUT, but...hes lost somewhere XDi do nothing and have no idea how i can fix that. 

Do the AE-packaged OICO profiles not work with CMD rendering? Is it advisable to use a custom profile in CMD?Windows 11, v24.5.0
