After Effects

Hi. I'm a beginner AE user, so forgive me if I ask about obvious things. My AE version 24.1 (Windows) crashes every time I try to open a file from Illustrator (about 2GB). I'm not sure if it's due to the file size or any other factors. So far, I've reset preferences, cleared the cache, and saved the AI file with different options. Unfortunately, without success. Does anyone have similar experiences and any advice?

In this simple script, I'm adding a Gaussian blur to a layer with a value of 1. But my question is, can you add an effect to a layer but hide the effect controls via scripting? Al momento de crear una composición, agregar audio y unas pocas figuras, el programa no permite realizar más interacciones con estas figuras ni escuchar el audio, además de no reproducir lo que ya se ha hecho. Tampoco permite exportar.

I'm getting the low memory warning in the Beta 24.4.0 Build 24.  Getting it in Ae 24.2.1.  Getting it in Ae 23 versions too.  I would revert to Ae 22 but it's not available for download. Almost impossible to work with. I am now getting a system warning saying... "Your system has run out of application memory" I've created fresh projects in Ae 24.2.1 with no luck. I have no 3rd party plug-ins installed. My projects are nothing I haven't done before.  Nothing crazy. 1920 x 1080 at 24fps.  I'm just posting this to let Adobe know that the fixes they have implemented are not working for everyone.  iMac M3 - 24 RAM - 1TB Hard drive.  Not running any Adobe apps other than Creative Cloud app.

Hello, I think this is a bug that really needs sorting as it's been happening for about half a year now. Not always, but most of the time, when I'm using an After Effects file in Premiere the connection keeps getting lost, and a bar will appear mid-way through the After Effects track as though the file needs relinking. In my program monitor I'm seeing the red "Media Offline" image. It's hit or miss whether relinking works or not, but even when it does the media offline warning reappears 2 minutes later. This is really making all of my projects so difficult. I have to resort to exporting After Effects files for Premiere which comes with its own issues. Robbie

Hello, I am adding a 3D capable Round shape. I rotate this shape full circle on the y axis for 4 seconds. However, when returning to this shape, instead of rotating steadily, its position shifts to the left. When I examine the position values, everything is normal. Nothing changes except the Y value, but the shape shifts to the left. Cinema 4d feature is active

I'm in the latest AE CC (Windows 10). The last two comps I created, for some reason, I cannot add them to the timeline of certain comps, I get a 'not able' icon, the same happens if I tried to add it to the Viewer window. The thing is that I can add these comps to some other comps. And I can add other comps to first ones. It makes no sense. I tried changing the comps names, cleared the cache, restarted IE and Windows and nothing works. I did have a Memory leak problem error earlier today, so don't know if it makes any difference.Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, im a new user of after effects and i havent figure out all of the tools on it. i use after effects 2021. Could someone please help me because after precomposing, few of my clips glitched out of nowhere. But i made another video with the same clip, they were fine. Ive tried changing the fps a few times but it doesnt change anything. Is it a motion blur problem or frame blending problem? 

Ich brauche dringend Hilfe bei meiner AE-File:Aktuell schneide ich ein umfangreiches Urlaubsvideo für die Family und habe dort diverse Assets reingeladen: GoPro 4K & HD Aufnahmen, Bilder, Handyaufnahmen etc. Ich wollte nun nachträglich die Komposition verlängern auf 25:30 Minuten und bekomme seitdem den Fehler "(17 § 19) After Effects Fehler: Überlauf Verhältnisnenner werden konvertiert."  Seitdem sind einige Ebenen nichtmehr angezeigt, wenn ich das Projekt starte werden auch keine Zeiten mehr angezeigt, nur wenn ich rauszoome erscheinen diese, auch wenn ich sie noch editieren kann, klicke ich auf Elemente doppelt um in die Unterkompoisition zu kommen, ist diese File Weiß. Eine alte Version nutzen geht nicht, da es dann sagt dass Files mit neuer Verison nicht mit alter Version geöffnet werden können. Sobald ich Dinge wie die Framerate anpasse kommt der Fehler und After Effetcs stürzt dann ab.Hier die technischen Daten:- Apple iMac M3, Sonoma, 24 GB- After Effect

Dernière version d'After Effects installée hier. Rien ne va plus! Je suis incapable d'enregistrer mon projet et incapable d'importer des fichiers. Tout fonctionnait bien avec la version 2023. Mon système d'exploitation "Sonoma 14.3". Voir capture d'écran du message envoyé lors d'essai d'importation de fichiers.

i dont know why but twixtor pro has a blue screen when i add it 

I've been having an issue with the latest Adobe apps (2024) that for some reason it's crashing at launch. I'm using iMac Sonoma. The previous versions work fine on my computer, it's only the 2024 version that doesn't launch (including the Creative Cloud desktop app).Interestingly, I tried making a standard test user to see what would happen and all the apps work fine there including the 2024 apps. I tried changing the permissions on a whole bunch of folders but it's still not helping...I've been in touch with senior Adobe advisors and Apple, but no one can get to the bottom of the issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

As a student desperately wanting to use Adobe After effects, I think it's really unfair and inconvenient that is not available for pakistani students/people. Please suggest a way I can legally purchase without paying thrice the price.

     I'm trying to preview my video in after effects and I have tried numerous methods and can't seem to figure this out. All it ever does when i press space bar or the play button is play 1sec loop and the green loading bar doesn't load much. Everything worked fine until I tried to preview. I also went into edit and then preference and memory and made it so that after effects uses 7.9gb of my 8GB RAM.My PC has:8gb of RAM (questioning this)windows 10asus motherboard crosshair v formulaRadeon hd 6770 vapor-x64 bitAMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor, 3311 Mhz, 3cores, 6 logical processors1TBnot sure if anything else is needed.Thanks,Taylor

Hi, I have several compositions I used to create fire to then put on top of an 8K video. When I preview my final composition everything looks right. I rendered an H264 and it looked great but then I tried rendering a ProRes 422 and the animation of the fire freezes almost at the end of the video. I have tried rendering in different formats but it always exports incorrectly I even tried again with an H264 but this time it came out wrong as well. I tried rendering through Media Encoder and directly through After Effects, I also tried rendering with CPU instead of GPU but I haven't succeeded. Hi, hab hier zu kämpfen mit AE Crashs und Blue Sreens.Nachdem mit dem Log anscheinend niemand was anfangen konnte habe ich zumindest den Fehler soweit eingrezne können das bei jedem geöffneten Projekt aus früheren Versionen spätestens bneim Rendern alles vor die Hunde geht.  - AE Fehlermeldung- AE direkt close- Windows BlueScreen und Neustart Das passiert allerdings wirklich nur bei ältern Files. Wenn ein neues Projekt anlege dann passt alles und alles funktioniert.Also jedesmal wenn AE vorrendert und ich den Render anstoße.  AE ist komplett frisch installiert und ohne jegliche zusätzliche Plugins. Ebenfalls ist der Cache komplett geleert. Weiß hier jemand Rat?P.S.Rendering ist auf "nur Software" eingestellt und "mit Haredware Beschleunigung" ist deaktiviert.

I've imported an .ai file with two layers, animated with puppet pins – looked fine. Later I notice there's something weird going on with the layers. It looks as it should in Illustrator.I tried masking out those "extra bits" but even the mask acts odd and cuts off part of layer inside of it. I saved a new version of the .ai file and replaced both layers in the comp which sort of worked on one. The other comes out even more strange looking!

Plugin: VC ORBTemplate: 3D Earth Connections V2  Ae 2024 Beta kept crashing each time I tried to edit a value in VC ORB until I found that I needed to switch to the Advanced 3D or C4D Renderer. This fixed the bug. I switched back to the Classic 3D to try, and it stopped crashing.Then I saved my project. I restarted AE 2024 Beta to check if it still worked, and it did.Then I tried using AE 2024 version 24.1.0. It crashed, and I decided to record to show the crash and the fix.  

I have a keyframed position that moves an object in a rectangular path. When trying to add vertices (near the corners to round them out), AfterEffects often essentially deletes that half of the rectangle, instead making a triangle to the next corner— all my vertices are still there, but along the hypotenuse of the triangle instead of where they should be. Undoing has no effect

Why do I get sound in preview when sound is off in preview? AE has always had sound issues, why can't you guys work this out?? Apple makes it as simple as possible!
