Hello:I'm coming from older versions of AE & Trapcode, and have a great deal of experience with those.But I'm still getting up to speed with the newer versions of these tools.I'm no able to get particles to emit from a layer; I task I've done a million times, with older versions of Trapcode.I'm attaching a simple scene, with the basic setup. Can someone please take a look and check whether:a) It works on your end?b) If it doesn't, what I 'm I doing wrong? Thank you! 

Hello! I have multiple shape layers (elipses) that keep moving around, but I want to place an image in to these shape layers, is this possible? I want to have a Photoshop clipping mask effect, that the image stays within the elipse. 

I accidently enabled some sort of fps counter how do i disable it

When I use puppet tool on the lashers, and when I try to animate, when I move puppet down, It creates another lash behind the one I moved, and it constantly happens... Please help.

Having a parallel light casting shadows turns a 1s render to a 42s render (one frame).What the hell?Those labels are the only things casting shadows (and not accepting light) onto a 'shadow catcher' layer.

Hi,I have never had this issue in After Effect before so I am slightly baffled by it. I have created a fairly simple animation, there are a couple of wiggle expressions applied but nothing to complex. when I preview the animation within AE the speed is prefect yet when I render it out the animation is twice as fast (but only in certain parts?).I have tried adjusting  the RAM and memory etc but nothing seems to be working? Can anyone help?

I'm having issues with my object changing position and 'twitching' in-between two position keyframes.I understand this is a common issue as I get it a lot, normally I just set the keyframe interpolation to linear and that sorts it, but for some reason that isn't working this time around. Thanks.

What is the name of this font? The "a" and "k" letters are very special.I have used Photoshop "Match Font" but I had no luck. Also I have used several websites to find the font, but none has the exact font.Thank you 🤓 

Hi gang; I am about to start looking at implementing MFR (Multi Frame Rendering) for my plug-in and I have a question. My understanding is that MFR allocates system CPU cores to frames. So if your system has 4 cores, it renders 4 frames concurrently for previews, renders, etc. If this is the case, I assume it's a bad idea to implement multithreading into plugins as they will conflict, no? It sounds like it should be EITHER multithreading OR MFR? A multithreaded plug-in would use the same cores AE would use for MFR, presumably at the same time (not good!). Am I correct in my assumption? It also sounds like, given a choice between the two, MFR might be the better way to go as it seems not only easier to integrate, but also more compatible with the AE pipelije? I saw that most included plugins are now MFR enabled so it appears to be the new norm. Please advise. Thanks,Richard

Hi, I'm working on a very simple project that is not opening. The project file will open, but attemping to open any composition will crash after effect. This project was created today, was saved and closed with no crashes at all. Unfortunately auto save was not on so they are no redudencies.  All the project was was footage (H264 files exported from Resolve) and text animation videos (also H264s) that were to be motion tracked in after effects. They were all done flawlessly until saving, closing, then attempting to reopen.  The only things that were used were 3D camera tracker, some nulls, a couple of solids, video layers and additional text layers. No outside plugins. Anyone know what could be going on? I've tried - clearing preferences- safe mode.- disabiling plugins.- emptying cache.- updating.- resinstalling.- installing and trying an older version.- copying files to another harddrive and attempting to relink media. So I just started with AE and i was wondering in what way do you change the size of a rectangle? Like you would do it as in for example illustrator? If I want to change the shape and pull the anchor points, the rectangle changes on both sides in stead of one side... HELP!

Need help, with the last version of AE, when I use shortcuts,  they unselect the layers witch I'm using and it makes me work very slow. Why is this happening, anyone else with this problem?

Hi there,  My setup. I have two pieces of footage playing side-by-side in my MAIN COMP. They're each in Precomps: COMP A and COMP B. I have time remap keyframes on each of these Precomps within the MAIN COMP so that they align properly with each other.  Here's my problem. I'm trying to scale and change the position of the footage within each of them. To do so, I have a controller within the MAIN COMP that the scale and position of each of these raw footage files is linked to (within COMP A and COMP B). My problem is that the keyframes don't seem to be affecting the footage when I change their scale and position values with the controller. Happy to provide more info. Thanks!

Hi, I'm trying to do an animation were text create a bunch of different waves and lines.My problem is that I create a path to wrap the text on using a mask, but at some random point during the text it creates a line break even when it hasn't finished wrapping the whole path. Does anyone have any idea of what i can do? I have already tried changing the shape starightening some nodes but it still creates this break. Even if I turn on force alignment it doesn't help it forces the two lines.There is also not a break in the text, I haven't pressed enter in between lines to create the break.  

Hi there,  I've only started using after effects in the last few months, there used to be a panel at the right hand side of my workspace that allowed me to enter numerical values in order to change the dimensions of a particular item in my composition.  This has vanished and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get it back? Any help would be appreciated! 

Hi all,in Element 3D, the effect looks like it is divided into 2 on the bottle surface, as in the screenshot.i ' m trying to make glowing edges effect. How can i fix this?I'm new to element 3d, i hope i was able to explain my problem 🙂

I'm trying to rotobrush an object in some footage. The object is basically round and should be very simple. I have the edges defined in frame 1. When I move to frame 2, the edges are inaccurate. Nothing I do, with either the + brush, or - brush will alter the edges of the mask in successive frames. I can paint in the frame to cover 50% of the area and nothing will change with the edges of the roto mask. I've also tried the Refine Edge tool with no effect.  I've only used the Roto a couple times in the past and never had this problem.  Thanks.

Dear helpers! I can't open After Effect 11 right now. Maybe an antivirus deleted something important? The error message: Adobe Application Manager, required to verifiy your license, is missing or damaged.It worked so far. I haven't used it for about two months, now it won't start.There was also a 213:11 error code before, but I read somewhere that the SLStore must be made writable. I did that.

So I’ve been trying to recreate this video from Peter Quinn but failed so far. About his video: There is a picture of a guy on a wall, but when you get closer to the wall, the “picture guy” turns into a real person. I divided the original footage into 2 small video: the first one is the guy waving and then walking out of the frame, and the 2nd video is the moving part called BG.- In After Effects, with the BG video, I reverse it, pre comp then track it using camera track.- I took Gerad’s advice on the other day: Set the ground plane by using the walkaway, put the grid effect to make sure that the ground layer stays where it should do. Go to the the last frame and select track points on the wall and create a solid layer from here, named it Wall.- Add the photo that I wanna project it on the wall. Make
