Details I'm currently using a PC, not MAC Resolution/Down Sample Popup: Full Fast Previews: Adaptive Res I cant read computers but I've attached a screenshot of how much RAM is being saved/used for Adobe/AE I imported AI files into AE and when I was moving the files in the composition, nothing was blurry until I added an Effect (wiggle) onto one of the AI files. After that whenver I pressed play on my composition, it would be extremely blurry and would only become clear after I paused it.    I made a new project and tried to redo everything but its still blurry. After that attempt went wrong, I went to the original AE project and changed all the AI files all into Shapes...    Idk how to fix it back to without the blurriness T^T I've tried adjusted the Resolution/Down Sample Popup, Fast Previews, and turned on the "Continuously Rasterized" star layer thingy. I feel like the RAM might be the issue, but I'm not sure where to begin @-@ Please help!   [Abuse

I'm having an issue with preview in After Effects. When I first open a project, the preview works normally for a few moments. But after that, it stops working, whenever I press play or hit the spacebar, it only plays a single frame and then stops.I've tried clearing the cache and restarting the app, but the issue keeps coming back. Has anyone faced something similar or know a fix?

I import an AI-file with several layers including graphics as a composition into After Effects.After Effects doesn't show any of the graphics. The layers seem to be empty. However, they are not. (See attached screenshots.)I use the newest versions of both apps on Windows.Any suggestions?

I believe I am using Mocha AE properly, and I am saving after I complete my tracking.   I close Mocha AE and return to AE.   When I select "Create Track Data" the "Layer Controls" never shows up, although sometimes I do see the tracking points superimposed (when I add a Solid layer).    Is there some "allow popup" setting in AE that is the issue perhaps?   I can't figure out how to enable the popup.   Thanks for any suggestions.   

Hello., i have video of an interview. The subject is standing and the background is bush. The subject only moves at times hands or sometimes the arms. Now i want to remove the background. With resolve magic mask is almost perfect, but for example, between the finger, when they open i see details of the background. Also the arms..sometimes are well along the body..sometimes they slightly move aside and then pieces of background come out. Now with roto brush i want to clean those thingsSo i move the playhead in layer panel view, until i find a part where to add or remove somethings. But i can't. Nothing happen. Wheter i add or remove nothing happenHow do i do that?Thank youi 

Every C4D file I attempt to import into the latest version of AE (25.5.0) causes it to crash. C4D imports work fine in AE 2024, so I'm using that as a work-around for the time being. I have the latest version of C4D and AE, and an up to date graphics driver for my GeForce RTX 4090. OS is Windows 11. I use this workflow all the time in my work, so I'd live to see this fixed ASAP. Thanks

Is there a fast way to split type into individual letters? I wanted to do a manual "unfolding" effect of a sentence, as I find it much more powerful to control than the per-letter 3d effect. basically i had to lay out the sentence one letter at a time, and it would have been nice to just write the sentence and then divide it into individual letters, the way you can do in Flash. as an example, check out this project on Vimeo: http://www.vimeo.com/2409242 it's the text effect that happens 7 seconds in. i split the layers to have more control, but i had to line the letters up individually because i couldn't just break apart the sentence.

Hi. I want to create a more handmade style of parallax for a short 2D animated film - so in this case I feel 3D layers would feel too "accurate" and mechanical to work as I want it to.However would it be possible to link 2D-layers to a null but add an offset for each layer in % of the nulls motion? Maybe a script will be able to do this?  (I'm not even beginner level when it comes to scripting though)Let's say front layer follow the null with no offset but the layer behind has an offset of xx% of the nulls values, and so on. Would this be at all possible to do? Would it be too advanced to even bother? I guess this would be used to control x/y position and scale.The prospect of keeping track of these offsets manually is a bit daunting, thats why I'm looking for alternative workflows. Also I feel some sort of automation would save alot of time. Let me know if you have some easy ideas or examples I can try out.Thank you./Marten

Hi,I'll try provide further information if I can when asked, however I don't have much to go off. I've enabled logging and will include the most recent crash section below, however it does not consistently end with this message.I do not have any plugins installed, and the issue persists safe mode / with reset preferences. I have zero issues with Premiere, Audition, Media Encoder etc, and only AE is having issues.The only time it manages to not crash is when it is not the program in focus/it is minimized, which isn't much help. The issue was never this bad previously (I started with AE only 4-5ish months ago, issue has been rampant for about the last week), as it would only crash when under high load/trying to work on comps with many layered effects. So I bought a new macbook pro 14 inch with the m4 pro 14 cores and 48 gb of Ram and I thought I will be a major change from my previous M1 macbook but unfortunately almost every time I use After effects it will just freeze and will not recover. At times it will freeze the whole mac and I cant even force it to close because the Mac will not do anything. Only way it to reboot it manualy. This is a major problem that never happened to me with the M1 Macbook. This is a brand new Computer with 2 TB hard drive and it completely clean. I had it for 3 days and since day one this keeps on happening. I usually happen when I try to play something on the time line after working on it for a while, but nothing to havey. Again, the M1 got no issues with it. Is that something other people experience? thanks

im kinda new in this thing called rotobrush but i have used this for several times and this problem never showed up. anyway now when im trying to roto it always pop up this alert: after effects warning: roto brush strokes cannot be added until the current frame has finished rendering. even the render after importing the video. what should i do?btw is it just on my compter or after effects is really slow? i mean like  import 15  sec video in hdr resulution to the timeline the little rendering procces take like 1 minute. about what?? and also the roto itselves its render soooo slow. and i work with new laptop 4060 i7 32 ram i dont get it  

When I import PSDs into AE, the interpretation is not defaulting to the embedded profile, always to the working profile. Can anyone help me work out how to change this? If the PSD is sRGB, I want AE to respect that. Thanks

I'm working on a project for a class and we need to animate shapes. However, we're not allowed to use anything other than the brush tool to draw (no shape tool, no pen tool). We're not allowed to have object mode on either. It's been a significant struggle for me to draw neat straight lines. I know that holding shift while drawing creates straight vertical or horizontal lines. Is there any way to do this with diagonal lines? 

Mac Studio 2023 Apple M2 Ultra 192GB ram Mac OS Ventura 13.5 running AE2023 23.6 Getting this error when trying to run camera tracker. First error is "Unkown Exception"followed by "After Effects error: Could not launch Adobe Analysis Server. (515) ( 25 :: 101 ) I've seen this posted before but on older versions of AE. Most solutions reference steps to take on a PC, not on a mac.  Other solutions also seem to indicate virus software, of which I do not have.   Based on previous errors with camera tracking and "dynamic link" I'm guessing this has something to do with a plugin, but hard to pinpoint that.  Hopeful for any other feedback or ideas.

Hello, I have a project where I need to showcase multiple rows of names, hundreds of thousands of them, scrolling through a long 15K x 2K resolution screen. These names are going to be sourced from a spreadsheet (I believe sales force), converted into a .csv file.  They don't need to be animated, I was planning to just manually keyframe the scrolling motion myself. I just need each row of names to be connected to their own individual text layer. My Specs:Mobile Nvidia RTX 5090Intel(R) Core Ultra 9 275HX, 2700 Mhz, 24 Core128 gigs of DDR5 Ram4 Terabytes of NVMe SSD Storage. Hey there, guys! I've been getting back into editing, but for some reason, After Effects keeps freezing even when I am doing nothing more than moving clips around in the timeline. Even worse, the program won't quit even when I try to kill the process in Task Manager. The only solution I have found is to restart my laptop altogether. I've tried almost every solution imaginable, yet I've seen no improvement. This all started when I tried to motion track and stabilize some footage in After Effects, but it froze almost instantly. At first, I thought maybe it was just the process taking up a lot of resources, but as time went on, the program started to freeze even when doing the most basic of tasks.  Here are all the things I have tried with no improvement:Purged all CacheAdjusted Memory Settings (over 100 gigs is assigned to AE)Disabled

As it appears, this is a free of charge plugin by RxLaboratory.Are there any costs to installing this since this is an enterprise license. Our certified re-sellers had no answer and pointed out to this community for help.
